After I checked him in he tried recruiting me into one. Then it started to get busy at the desk and I couldn't really talk with him. He came back down a few hours later and put on a video for me to watch. He had been telling me it was his business until I saw the video, then it was clear. I told him no, but he insisted on getting my number so he could contact me later after I had time to think in it. I Ghosted him after that. --- Work in progress, please be patient. |

This morning my manager comes in and sees all the problems I was dealing with and helps me get everything sorted out(I had to stay an hour late to do so). Then as I was leaving she said "Go get some rest!" and just slapped my ass. Literally have never had anything like that happen before. It was weird, and I just laughed it off. It was definitely a surprise that came out of no where. I mean, she's been a bit touchy since I started, but this was quite a shock lol. Seemed like no matter where I went it was always the same, I was unwanted and only good for being used. I used to be much more optimistic with a better attitude. Once I reached my 30's though, my hope for things to work out began to fall apart. It didn't help that at that point was when I began actively posting on social boards to try and satisfy the basic social interaction need I had. I saw how much better everyone else's lives were, how the things I'd been struggling with my entire life just came naturally to most others. It amplified my feelings of inferiority, and quickly eroded the rest of my resolve to stay hopeful. It put me in a very serious funk that I'm still trying to break free of, but it doesn't feel like I ever will. --- Work in progress, please be patient. |
