Also there's no guaranteed Celica's Gale in the main game so lol Panthera posted... The important thing is that Robin and whoever s/he is paired up with basically solos the majority of any given map, so all you're really doing with the rest is picking who else gets experience, except in cases where flying units can put in work regardless, which obviously Sumia gets to do regardless. Lunatic Awakening is really just the Robin show where you pick one or two other combat units to use as a project on the side and for the sake of unlocking children chapters for more experience/items, then riding the kids the rest of the way, so you might as well pick the character that produces Galeforce/Rescue shenanigans eventually...regardless of how dubious the magic stat may be lol This makes more sense to me, I can see how dark fliers would be good under this setup. I might change my mind on the class if I ever play lunatic difficulty; on hard they've done nothing but disappoint me though. --- Congrats to BKSheikah, who knows more about years than anyone else. |

You get plenty of spirit dust and don't have too many other people to use them on, plus enemy resistance sucks most of the time (and most of the exceptions have bad defense, it's really only Dark Knights that are a problem, and you have Beast Killers for them anyway), plus given you'll have the speed to double, all you really need to do is be able to 3 or 4 hit kill an enemy since pair up attacks will do the rest for you. Even on Lunatic difficulty Sumia doesn't struggle to kill things with magic, for example (she only struggles with surviving more than one hit) Robin I can see, but Sumia's gonna be starting with an E in magic so she's not killing much of anything until that's fixed. Like I'm not doubting your experience but even on my minmax Awakening run, getting Galeforce was the "thank god" moment when I could finally switch back to a class that could actually contribute beyond Rally Movement and pair-up. It just has not been good to me and it seems like you need a lot of extra effort to make it good. --- Congrats to BKSheikah, who knows more about years than anyone else. |
