And you're going to get a lot more value out of those 5 years of playing video games than you will out of a statue that sits on your shelf getting dusty

Nearly 200. I think your forgetting TC is Canadian. And that's the cost on something without the Canadian Carbon Tax, which would blow your mind how much we pay on general food. Our meat gets taxed up to 6x before being sold on shelves.

while yes, Gamefly does exist, the difference in cost is way too much, even adjusting for inflation, for what I would be comfortable paying. Gamefly at least from what I've looked at charges 18 for a single rental for a month. Back when I was growing up it was 5 dollars for a week, even adjusted for inflation that's barely 9 dollars. And while you are technically getting more value from Gamefly, I don't need a game for a month to beat it. Give me 4 solid days to beat it, as I work from home and have a lot of free time between duties.

Just because some countries think age of consent should be under 18 doesn't make it less creepy or wrong.

Under 18 isn't a consenting adult.

I hate to be that guy, but the age of consent for America, even Canada is 16. Obviously, the judicial system and I completely disagree with that, and it should be 18, but through technicality anyone that age can argue otherwise.

If people left look at the calorie content in some of these boxed dinners theyre actually not that bad and taste pretty good. They can be a good alternative to cooking for people like myself who dont want to take the time to prep and cook.

You've never sat down and eaten a tin of Campbells Tomato Soup as a one off? I used to buy them in cases of 24. They'd last me a few months before I'd pick up another. Love Tomato Soup.

I'd also go one step further and get him to take a sleep study as well. A couple years ago I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Sleep Apnea can affect your memory and leave you confused if your not getting enough sleep during the night. I would go to bed at 12, and even by 9 I only actually slept 1/2 hr, so I was constantly forgetting things, getting confused. Yes, most of the time it has to do with weight, but there are cases where skinny people just don't sleep properly, and when you don't get enough REM sleep, your mind starts to play tricks on you.

But he was also ridiculously good at public speaking, and that's something I've always struggled with. And with my brain the way it is, I would literally forget all the shit that he's done and only hold on to the public speaking portion (I had a bunch of seizures when I was younger messing up my memory, and I also sleep with a CPAP machine so my brain doesn't function fully most days). If I have to remember everything he did, then hell no.

And its a harsh way to put it, but you can't help anyone else if you yourself are cooped up in the hospital because you ignored a sign that your body is going through something. It may be nothing, we pray its nothing, but you never ever put it on the back burner. If its a job for you as a carer, talk to your boss about setting up someone as cover for a single day while you get it checked out. If its family, ask another family member or neighbour to look after the individual for a couple hours while you get yourself at the very least tested.

No, back when rental stores were still a thing. We didn't need to own games to enjoy them back in the 90s. We could just go to Blockbuster/Jumbo and rent 2 of them for 10 bucks. While we have Xbox Game Pass, there really isn't a system in place to rent games unless a mom and pop shop adds it in as a service.

RIP. I lost my father and brother within 4 months of each other at the end of last year. Its awful. Surround yourself with as many loved ones as you can.

It's a hard thing to see. My uncle passed last year, he was really sick. Kidneys shut down and was on dialysis. His last wish was that he would have one last Christmas with his family who were all over the country. Which he got. The day his son flew back to Ottawa, he was put in Paliative care. We figured at the time he had maybe a month left to live. But sadly, that wasn't the case. He passed that night at 1 in the morning. He knew his time was up. Luckily he managed to get most of his pre-death things done. But dealing with banks after a death is just ridiculous. It's like the people you talk to can't understand that the person they are looking to speak with has passed, even after you tell them 3 times.

My great aunt died last year, and within a day her sister died. We figure it was broken heart syndrome. They were fairly old, one was 97 the other I think 93. But we always remember that one of them was never allowed to go shopping with anyone. Not because she wasn't a nice person, but because she was someone who was impatient and would purposely skip lines and argue with cashiers when she was told to get to the back of the line.

All the time. Up until my most recent 2 jobs which were actual post graduate jobs I worked Security where my boss would tell me that all the time (and subsequently he got fired for shit like that, which I can go into more detail later, and I worked a bunch of retail jobs which those bosses can go f themselves. One of them tried to guilt trip me because my co-worker went home at his scheduled time, all because they chose to change his time off from 10 to 10:30 literally the night before, after hours, and didn't bother to tell him.

We ended up getting back at that boss though, my entire department mass quit the day I left to go back to college. Not because of me, but because that was a happy coincidence. I went back there a couple months ago to pick some stuff up, and turns out they only have 1 person working my department because everyone else refused to work there. Now they are losing people left right and center.

She went back to her car in the morning to find someone had gone through her stuff. She locks it every time now.

That really depends on where you live though. If your in a big city, by all means autolock your car. But there are some smaller towns in the northern part of my province where they actively tell you to not lock your car because of Polar Bears.

Sorry to hear that. As someone who lost his birth mother in the past couple years, its hard to deal with. I was fortunate in that we weren't especially close, but we were close enough that it did hit me. One thing that helped my family in the hard time was taking something that she loved and making something of it to remember her by. For us it was a blanket she had on her bed, which we had turned into small couch cushions that could be divided amongst her sisters/mother and me.

It made us feel like she was still near us, even when times are tough.

Night shifts only work if you have a good support team there with you. I've done 2 types of night shifts. I worked security pulling 14-16 hour nights, and I worked retail. Management-wise they were the same. Assholes with more power than they deserve, and with retail, we had 4 of them all wanting things done in different ways. Security I only had to get my schedule from the guy and that was the limitation to our interactions. What made him an asshole is that he actually got fired from that job for overworking his employees. During the stint of a single month I worked 29/30 days, with 1 day off in the middle, pulling 14-16 hour nights.

I loved working security overnights, as most of the time I was working power service stations that only needed us there for write-off reasons. We were miles outside the city limits in the middle of the woods so I would just park my car, take a nap and play playstation on a portable dvd player and generator. But mentally I hated it because I very rarely had a day off.

There really isn't

But there should be. That's my original point. We all remember the election of Hilary vs Trump. It wasn't an election of whose the better candidate for the job, it was an election of whose less evil? And somehow Trump is less evil than Hilary. But your country had a 3rd option in Bernie Sanders. Was he the ideal candidate for the job? No. But in comparison to the other 2, he sure as shit wouldn't spend thousands of dollars attempting to build the great wall of New Mexico, or god knows what the fuck Hilary would have done.

Truth be told people are just pissed off at Biden now. So it honestly wouldn't surprise me if Trump gets re-elected.

When your left with 2 choices, your going to choose the one that hasn't hurt you yet, recently, or the lesser evil of the two. Do you know why people voted Trudeau into office? It wasn't because he was the ideal candidate. It was because Stephen Harper was an asshole who only gave a shit about half our country and even then that was debatable, and Tom Mulcair was a blithering idiot. So you have someone who is the well known son of one of Canadas most respected Prime Ministers assuming he'll be just like his father, which clearly isn't the case.

But on a side note, I was watching the news the other day, and they actually announced that Putin had an 88% approval vote for him to remain as the head of Russia. Obviously its bullshit, that or people are afraid of voting otherwise for fear of dying. Probably the later.

Well, you used a S+++ tier weapon and the absolute uncontested best summon in the game (which also would've been using that weapon), in a series where bosses AI notoriously can't really handle multiple targets (though to be fair, Malenia's lifesteal mitigates this a bit), so yeah she'll definitely be a lot easier than most people who think she's hard say. Try her again 1v1 and see how many times you get your shit rocked.

I wouldn't say its uncontested. I've been using Tiche a lot lately and if I'm being honest here, I prefer it to Mimic Tear. Tear is great if you have a specific weakness your trying to exploit, but Tiche avoids nearly all damage, hits like a truck and drains bosses fast.

My first time getting to her was in New Game+. Downed her in 4 tries. This isn't a bragging topic, as she destroyed me the first time I finished the cutscene. Rushed me before I could even summon my spirit, but she gets absolutely wrecked by Mohgs Sacred Spear + Mimic Tear+10. It's ability just drains her life faster than she has time to attack, and since most of her attention is on the spirit, I was able to freely use it on her.

The only thing is that I had to quickly equip a shield for the start of her 2nd phase. But past that, I've had more trouble with Elden Beast.
