If theres a game I want that isnt on premium Ill buy it. Just like Id have to on PC. And then Ill also play a ton of other games, a lot of which Ive loved. Im literally playing Tales of Arise right now on Ps Plus Premium (along with several other games such as Trials of Mana and Sifu) and its rad. Ive also discovered other games I wouldnt have played otherwise. I tried Tinykin and it was frankly a delightful little platformer collect-athon mixed with Pikmin.

God youre one of those PC is better than console everyone convert or Ill never shut up people, huh.

Edit: oh damn just noticed they added Midnight Suns and Resident Evil 3 remake

Nearly 200. I think your forgetting TC is Canadian. And that's the cost on something without the Canadian Carbon Tax, which would blow your mind how much we pay on general food. Our meat gets taxed up to 6x before being sold on shelves.

The best part of game passes is when you want to replay a game but it's been pulled from the service so you have to buy it anyway, costing even more money

I basically only buy stuff on Steam sale or used physical games (in Japan, they're really cheap here). So I usually don't spend more than $1-10 for a single game.

TC, you just have poor money management skills. I agree Xbox game pass is questionable value but all you need to do is buy one anime figurine less a year and now all of a sudden you have more than enough money for games

The prices of games are mostly pretty fair. You're getting at least 50 hours at least for the majority of games these days via a lengthy single or unlockable side content.
That number doubles if you replay the game multiple times.

Compared to going out. Go out for drinks these days and you'll spend hundreds of dollars getting smasher at a bar that lasts for about 6 hours of fun time.

Gaming is honestly very cheap. Especially if you just wait for sales and.

Well the actual reason is I only own a Switch. Much like TC, I can't really afford my sole hobby of gaming so I just chose the console I expected would have the highest concentration of games I'd want to play. From that list I played Dragon Quest XI (didn't like it) and Dragon's Dogma which was only ok for me but it was $5 so whatever.

The poverty line is about 15,000 a year federally for a single person. (Which. Lets be real. You are.) Being generous, in California its 19,000.

In America its cheap. Not in Canada. If your waiting for sales sure, that's pretty much the only time I can get games. But even then its still really bad. I just bought Ys 9 for 45% off. It cost me 50 CAD after tax. And that's just an example of the bs that goes on with our dollar. There's a big reason people are moving away from here to other countries.

I have always only bought games then they are on sale or used. So nothing has changed for me.

While final fantasy 7 rebirth may be one third of the story, it's a larger game then the original so it's not one third of the game it's one third of a trilogy of games.
