"Were" is the key word there. They took people's complaints and added all this stuff to the game, then some. I think the big issue with the release is that people were expecting a pure park management game with dinosaurs, whereas the focus with JWE is breeding dinos, having them fight gladiator style, and cause general chaos. I mean, two of the core mechanics of the game (sabotage and storms) are designed to fuck up your park. People wanted Zoo Tycoon and they got Cities Skylines with pissed off lizards. --- o7 Let strength be granted so the world might be mended. |

Really enjoy the DLC they've put out for it too. There's definitely issues with it and there are features from Planet Coaster that should prolly be added to JWE, but I've certainly gotten my money's worth at 200 hours clocked lol. Frontier is one of the few truly good devs out there these days. They really care about the games they make and it shows. --- o7 Let strength be granted so the world might be mended. |

Had to know what I was talking about. The Gnostic gospels are infinitely more interesting than anything in the bible. But if I had to pick my favorite book it'd have to be Revelations. I lived in a really bad neighborhood at the time, so my parents wanted me to go to a private school instead of the local public school. They took me to a Catholic mass in order to meet the priest in charge of the school and basically told me to lie and pretend like we were Christians or else I'd have to go to school with "the bad kids". It worked and I went to Catholic schools all through grade and high-school. Both my parents are atheist and so am I, if that matters. --- o7 Let strength be granted so the world might be mended. |

Imo, if you really want to point the finger at something being "an exploit" in the game look at the Bomb Slinger and Trip-wires. Throw down a metric fuck-tonne of trip-wires and anything in the game dies immediately. Alternatively unload on anything with the Slinger and it, again, dies immediately. Hell, one of the best Slingers in the game can be gotten within the first few hours of play if you rush the Hunter's Guild sidequests. At least the slow-mo skill still requires you to aim your shots at the right weakpoints and use the proper ammo types. Slinger/traps put out insane damage with little, to no, need to aim and you only ever have to use one type of ammo. --- o7 Let strength be granted so the world might be mended. |

Otherwise you'll end up jumping up and down in one spot for every single fight to trigger the slow-mo shooting...because that is, hands down, the easiest and most effective way to play. The storyline, however, is absolutely awful. If you're at all a fan of sci-fi you'll see absolutely every beat coming a mile away. What makes it worse is they give away the entire hook of the game in the opening cutscene ( --- o7 Let strength be granted so the world might be mended. |

Otherwise you'll probably be fine (provided you're not lazy). Of course, some careers require a degree no matter what. I, for instance, do not have a degree of any kind and have worked my way up to making over 100k a year...but I also work in the shipping industry and we're not exactly known for attracting the smartest of people. Just a bit though. Can't say I've ever bought expansion-pack-style DLC that I haven't been happy with. The occasional "starter pack" type thing for a multiplayer game that is useful for all of two hours, but that's about it. --- o7 Let strength be granted so the world might be mended. |
