Exactly. There are more than a few supercuts of the entire metal gear series, and ones for each individual game, that run for more than 12 hours and even those feel chopped to hell. There's so much missing and so much information that doesn't translate well without context.

Not to mention Metal Gear's primary means of giving information has always been through the Codec, and those conversations are such a massive, massive part of the series both in setting up story as well as the overall tone of the games. Bit hard to make a guy listening to people jabber in his ear interesting to watch.

It's also a tradition in some cultures that dates back to Rome/Greece, where you had to pay the boatmen on the River Styx two coins to take you into the underworld.

I have a pretty distinct memory of holding my grandfather's finger through the bars of a crib at their house. No idea how old I was but I remember the room being very very bright because of the window nearby.

Like, it's mostly a memory of bright light, my grandfather's face and his hand squeezing through the crib bars as he laid on the bed next to the crib.

What really worries me is their recent implications that they want to get into the "retro" market.
What happens in 5, 10, 20 years when Gamestop goes under (which they will)? Where do all those games go? Knowing Gamestop's current policies most will be discarded rather than donated or auctioned off.

If Gamestop gets into the retro business we could see some games go extinct.
