Probably Kindergarten. There was a Jesus in there and he told me about himself by drawing pictures of ducks and pissing on the floor.

Probably when I was first capable of recognizing entities, like Santa Claus, since religious imagery is everywhere in Latino communities. So while the information was omnipresent since my birth, I would only be capable of grasping the concept at around 3.

Going into first grade, so 5-6? I lived in a really bad neighborhood at the time, so my parents wanted me to go to a private school instead of the local public school. They took me to a Catholic mass in order to meet the priest in charge of the school and basically told me to lie and pretend like we were Christians or else I'd have to go to school with "the bad kids". It worked and I went to Catholic schools all through grade and high-school.

Both my parents are atheist and so am I, if that matters.

It is refreshing to hear of people learning of Christ at such a young age. I do hope that the people who introduced you did so earnestly and pointed out toward resources in which you could eventually learn more.

My mom told me at about 3 or 4. I believed that when you died, you lived your same life over again. I mentioned that to her and then she told me about heaven, hell, God and Jesus.

That is disconcerting. I regret to hear that such negativity was conveyed in Jesus's name.

That's the name of the game in Christianity. Believe what I believe and live as I tell you to live or you will rot burn and suffer in eternal hellfire.

Ah, but for those who interpret the scriptures that way, it isn't a matter of their own desires. Rather, it is what they believe the Lord demands that they communicate, and they spread such a message through the Great Commission.

Regardless, the truth is that Jesus will not reject any who do not reject him.

I remember being weirded the fuck out by the idea of eating another person. Also thought everyone singing hymns and standing/kneeling together was strange.

The other stuff wasn't too surprising. I read a lot as a kid so things like resurrecting dead bodies and being "possessed" were things I had encountered in other fiction.

Well let me tell you something, people like that is the main thing that made me go from a devoutly religious kid to a jaded atheist adult with nothing but hate for the church and disdain of christians. Kinda the opposite of the intended effect.

According to the bible, he totally could have saved himself but didn't because he wanted to die for our sins

It sounds like bullshit because it is

I learned about it first thanks to veggie tales when I was in elementary school. Went to a friends' youth group once. Never had any other experience with church.

My introduction coming from singing cartoon vegetables combined with a non-religious upbringing and not hanging around with any deeply religious people led me to not realize that people took that stuff seriously until i was like 12 or 13.

probably when I started going to school.

both of my parents were Catholic, but my dad only got baptized so he could go to a good school (both of my parents are from a developing country), and he wasn't a big fan of religion, so my brother and I didn't hear much about that stuff at home.

There must be a lot of care and consideration with how children are presented with Christ. For example, if a Sunday School caricature is taught, it could risk compromising the child's relationship with him as they grow older.
