Years ago I used to criticize Hearthstone all the time for RNG card effects.

But then I got around to thinking... hey, that can make for some pretty funny outcomes in games. This is fun! Psh, like I'd ever be playing this competitively anyway.

I got my first pretty decent phone earlier in 2018, and ever since then, I've been picking up Hearthstone every day. I even get to play on my lunch breaks.

Kinda curious what others go to for fun on this board.

Destiny was a pretty good "time to turn my brain off" game.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 is one that I can play for hours straight.

Used to be FFXiV, I was the textbook MMO addict. Luckily and sadly all the same, my FC (guild) dissolved after some drama and that left me kind of hung out to dry with less of a reason to play, so I quit.

its relaxing but still requires some amount of attention so its easy to chillax and stomp cpus

Mirrors Edge. I could run through the game in an afternoon, never loses it's charm.

I never got particularly good at Mirror's Edge without using weapons, which kind of defeats the purpose of the game.

Whenever I just want to feel awesome, Fire Emblem Warriors lets me.

Sports games usually. Depending on how much I wanna chill is how I will decide.
Games like hockey and soccer offer little breaks but are great at distracting, just like football and baseball but those offer many more breaks between pitches, plays, turnovers, etc.

Tony Hawk 4 and mirrors edge are so great but I need to repair my ps3s power supply before using it again.

Destiny 2 is where I go to let go and relax. Its like a warm hug after a long day.

Also Viva Piata and its sequel are my go-to for relaxation and zen games

Eh, Mirrors Edge and Mass Effect 2 were the only games I owned for quite a while, so I just kept messing around on the time trials until I got good at the game. It's just a fun game to speed-run through as well.

Wish the second game had that charm.

I don't really know what you mean by this, like a game I can just play whenever when I don't feel like doing an actual playthrough of something?

Recently, Minecraft. Before that it was Rocket League, sometimes it's been SSB or Halo, really the list can go on.

Gears of War games have campaigns that are just wonderful to listen to and play. Very mindless fun, especially when under the influence

Not tile matching/swapping, but I've been on Tetris Effect a lot lately, also got me going back to play Lumines some.

I've found that No Mans Sky is good for relaxing. You can just wander around and lose track of things quickly in that game.

The free-roam mode of Firewatch. It's nice to just wander around alone in the forest.

Gravity Rush for me. Being able to fly all around town, manipulate gravity as you please, and slide along walls is incredibly fun.

Thank you! I never remembered the exact name of the game and I was trying games like world tournament and I could never find the one I used to play.

Yeah, I used to go hard on almost all the GBA games; Eternal Duelist Soul, Worldwide Edition, Sacred Cards, 7 Trials to Glory, Ultimate Masters.

I never played Reshef of Destruction, but from what I've heard I'm not missing much because it's generally awful.

For the past year or so Injustice 2. I don't play online or anything but fighting games have always been my go to when I'm can't decide what to play or I'm drunk. It's Injustice 2 right now as it's the newest I have and I watch a few of the CW DC shows and those usually get me in the mood to play it.

Hell I use the black lightning skin on raiden more than I use raiden as himself thanks to the black lightning show.
