It 100% can be ball-bustingly hard; it depends entirely on your major and what classes you're taking.

I'm an engineer, and to this day I have never had to work as hard before or since as I did when I was getting my degree. The sheer volume of work thrown at you in some of the courses was nightmarish and it was difficult material to boot. And it's not like the students aren't bright; the mean high school average of students the year I went into university was 89%; we had several dozen valedictorians in the freshman batch of ~700 first year students; yet roughly a third of those students didn't make it to second year. My average in my Grade 12 year was 97% and yet I absolutely struggled at points during undergrad. I still made it through and my grades were solid, but I was definitely not a straight-A student anymore.

Will you have this experience if you take an easier degree? No, probably not. But to simply give a blanket statement that "school isn't hard, it's pointless/boring" is wrong (on both counts - I found a lot of the material extremely interesting, moreso than 95% of what we covered in high school, and it was absolutely relevant for my work).

That more goes to my point that High School is a crappy environment for learning. The 2 biggest things that you need to learn for college (and life, really) that grade school doesn't teach you is independence, and time management. I am willing to bet all of those kids with "A"s and "B"s probably had parents and teachers breathing down their neck telling them how and when to study so they can get good grades. Now take that away suddenly and add a whole bunch of other distractions. Most people aren't going to know what to do and likely drop out the 1st or 2nd year, as evidenced by the fact that 40% of people who start an undergraduate degree don't finish it.

Oddly enough, that number actually drops significantly for homeschooling. Probably because a good homeschooling environment actually teaches you those things.

Depends on the situation, I am not going to get annoyed if we are talking one-on-one. But usually I don't like it in written conversation because it doesn't take very long to spell out a god damn word. And if you still think it is too long, then get some text to speech software and avoid typing altogether.

I know plenty of people who speak English as their second or third language, that while hard to understand them talk can write perfectly understandable English. If English is your first language then you have no fucking excuse.

Sounds annoying. To a certain level (possibly even all levels) the whole grading system is a scam. Remember reports some people testing the systems, resending the same game multiple times to different scores each time.

The big problem is the video game grading system is so arbitrary compared to pretty much anything else (comics, trading cards, etc.). For those, they have an extensive list of things that account for the grade while in video games it is just at the discretion of whoever is grading it.

But yea, huge scam.

I thought it was pretty good. Not Takedown or Revenge good, but better then the rest of the series. Worst part was that every time the game started up, "Paradise City" always played even if you had the song turned off. Not a horrible song, but it is after you hear it at the start of EVERY. SINGLE. PLAY. SESSION.

Biggest problem was EA had no real faith in the series. Paradise 2 was essentially shipped early and turned into a Need For Speed game before they could really fix all of the underlying problems with Paradise. I kind of wish they had gotten the chance to fully complete it, probably would have ended up being the best game in the series.

Fair enough, but also have enough self awareness to understand that most people are going to be paranoid and judgy. We are dispositioned as sentient beings to be defensive around situations which are unfamiliar to us. And I say "sentient beings" because all animals in nature exhibit this behavior. It isn't somehow "enlightened" not to.

A single man in a place where mostly kids are present without watching a kid of their own is going to trigger that kind of response.

It makes it sound like you have something to hide if you think adults can't be in the same space as children without causing issues.

Did I specifically say that? I just said that if you find enjoyment being around a bunch of random kids you have no connection to that you probably need to think about why that is.

Most people also prefer to go out and do things during the day with the free time, not wait until night time because they can't be trusted around children like some kind of predator.

Most adults don't have free time during the day. They are either working or doing some kind of chore (like taking care of their own kids). Night time just works better for them.

It's very unlikely that they'd do that for the whole game, just for the sake of making the game more accessible, but I could believe that it'll have some side content that's harder.
IDK, after Mario Maker and Super Mario Bros. 35, people have kind of got accustomed to super hard 2D Mario levels.

I wonder what the crime rates are like in Flavortown.

I think it is less that stores are closing and more that consumer interest have changed. Sure, you don't see a lot of smaller shops, but it is not like those stores are just remaining empty. Salons, tanning places, barbers, restaurants, etc. are all still thriving. Hell, the old frozen yogurt shop near me got replaced by a Code Ninjas of all things.
