I had an evap problem on my last car and after taking it to 3 shops, they couldn't fix it. Ended up getting a $20 sensor to clear all the codes, drive around for about 20 miles before getting it inspected (so it would reset 2 of them), then after it passed inspection driving it away and having the check engine light come back on. I did that for like 5 years before I got rid of the car. Then the next owner did that for another 3 before junking it.

I owned Icewind Dale as a teen. Never played beyond a few battles though. Seemed very much like "old" D&D where for the first few levels, it was basically a crapshoot if you won or your entire party got wiped. Save scumming my way through it didn't seem like a fun idea.

Now that I actually like and understand CRPGs a lot more I would probably like it better. I even have most if not all of the games in the bundle, just never got around to picking them up again.

With the exception of a handful of days for team lunches or team building activities, I have been working from home steadily since March 2020. Used to hate the idea but once I setup a proper home office it is great. Now I outright refuse to work any job that makes me go into the office with any regularity. No way are you interrupting my between meetings power naps!

No chance of that happening since my entire team is spread out across the country. Even my boss is a good 600 miles from the office and only travels here 3 times a year.

I cant believe there are people who actually complain about working from home. Like, yeah, poor you. You dont have to waste an hour of your day commuting, you save money on gas and car maintenance, you get to work in comfy clothes, you dont have to deal with loud people in the office.

Eh, I can understand it for people who have young kids. Cant tell you how many times you see a naked kids running around in the background of zoom meetings, LOL.

Or for people who hate their families.

It's not like the roads are exactly safe.

Only because it is used more, which is kind of my point.

As crappy as it is to travel by air, it is also extremely safe due to all the safety regulations in place. Rail needs to have those same regulations before it is going to be a viable option, but it is also going to raise the cost astronomically. Which isn't going to be good for an industry where they are already struggling to get people to use it.

The WGA, SAG, or both? I'm curious as to why?

Both I guess, my reasons have less to do with the complaints of the unions and more to do with wanting to see the downfall of the major Hollywood studios. I just feel like major motion pictures, kind of like AAA video games, are less about the content and more about the money. A longer strike forces the consumer to look at independent productions which are more passion projects since they usually can't afford to use WGA and SAG workers and are therefore unaffected.

The police were called and after the hotel found who they issued the mistake to, they were found pretty quickly and we got our stuff back in a few hours.

After that, I always used the hotel safe if they have one, or just take anything of value with me when I go out if they don't.

The other 10% will be people loudly voicing their displeasure over nit-picky things and getting butthurt that the 90% can overlook these "flaws" and still enjoy the game. That is usually how it goes here with every major game release, Nintendo or otherwise.

I tend to use Glass Door, since they also allow you to get it by company as well. Plus great place to look up reviews for the company you are planning to work for.

Plus boycotts just straight up don't work. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they were pushed by companies to take away from real regulatory solutions.
To be fair, most of the graphics market today exists to keep graphics card companies alive. With how little graphics have improved over the last 10 years or so, there is no reason integrated graphics cards shouldn't be sufficient for all but the enthusiast PC gamers who are chasing triple digit FPS numbers in 8K. NVidia and AMD both know it, which is why they try to push stuff like Ray Tracing and PhysX despite the fact they arguably don't do much graphically and tank your performance.

Working from home feels so much more ... civilized in that regard. On the two days a week I have to go into the office, I have to get up at 5:30am for a two-hour commute. When I'm working from home, I can work while I'm still eating breakfast after getting up late.

I mean, any company that actually sits and thinks about it for enough time will realize that employees are more productive working from home. Sure, you get the people who are going to move the mouse on their work computer every 5 minutes while watching Netflix to be "active", but you can weed them out pretty quickly. Most of the time though, your employees get less distractions and can work whenever they want.

Anybody who says that in-person work environments are a must clearly hasn't pulled their head out of their ass in the last 20 years.
