I played one or two back in the day. Don't ask me to recite their names, I forgot. They never really stuck because I am not that into playing RPGs with complete strangers. Like, I will gladly play a tabletop RPG with friends, or a dungeon crawler/MMO with people I know, but playing with strangers never appealed to me.

I honestly don't think I have ever seen pre-ground white pepper. Only way I have been able to buy them are in tiny grinder bottles like this:

I've seen someone who made a "multipass" plastic holder for the vaccine card and I want to get one of those to wear around.
I would never do that because your vaccine card contains personally identifiable information that people can use to dox you. However, if there was an app on your phone that could be scanned to let someone know you have been vaccinated (similar to how it is done with concert tickets nowadays), then that would be fine.

D&D Online isn't too bad to solo if you pick a good character class (Barbarian is the one I use), decent amount of free content as well before you have to pay, and the prices are pretty fair. I haven't played it since Valheim released (February) but it is an older game so other then a few seasonal events there isn't really much happening with it. Still plenty of people online though.

It only lasted about 2 years before my other clan members started college and lost interest, but it was a ton of fun. I think I also mention that is where my username comes from, as it was a username I had to come up with on the spot when they were setting up the website. I think people forget how much of a chore the Mako was. In concept, it's fun, but in practice it's really a pain in the ass. It handled like garbage and every planet you explore with it (with the exception of story based/end game stuff) was completely barren outside of the couple of points of interest.

The probe shit was terrible at launch but made more tolerable later. It's still stupid, but I don't really see it as much more of a negative over the Mako.

I played through the trilogy one after the other long after they came out and I can honestly say I liked the Mako sections WAY more then probing or whatever 3 was. Like I said, it wasn't perfect for all the reasons listed, but it was at least interactive. Probing the planet was very passive and took away gameplay vs improving flawed elements. Then again, I have heard Mass Effect 2 described as "removing" gameplay from 1 vs. improving it so I guess that fits.

I preferred the weapon overheating system they had in the first game. With the right mods you could shoot all day and never overheat and you never had to worry about ammo. Though with the sniper rifle I usually stuck with the most heaviest-hitting mods, heat be damned. It's not like it's intended for close range use anyway, so waiting to cool down was no problem if I can one-shot a Geth Destroyer.

I think if they kept the weapon overheat and instead worked more on making it so every weapon was valuable and in some instances necessary it would make me like Mass Effect 2 way more then I did.

Instead they just switched to an ammo system and sent waves of similar enemies after you (and made it even worse in 3).

I found the first few runs can be a bit difficult because it can be stingy with ammo early on (Something other Resident Evil games don't do), and about halfway through the difficulty spikes quite a bit when you return to the mansion the second time. Unless you are following a guide, no shame in restarting if you are feeling stuck and using your lessons learned to try again. I feel like the game expects you to retry it multiple times and the remake didn't change that one bit.

I don't think the solution is to make Community College free/cheaper. It is already very cheap and most people who qualify for FSA can go for free anyways. The problem is we need to get rid of the thought that Community College isn't a viable education. That isn't something that a president can magically sign a bill to make happen, it requires a lot of promotion and advertising of the benefits of Community College over 4 year Universities.

No one should be going to a $50k+ a year college without a plan for what they want to do with the rest of their lives, regardless of if they are paying for it or tax payers are.

No, contingencies were put in place after WW2 that another WW is pretty much impossible. After Vietnam contingencies were put in place that another draft in the US is nearly impossible, more so given that wars are largely fought from the air nowadays. Worst that could happen is that some countries send troops over to support any "war" that happens, but even then it wouldn't be nearly on the scale of what WW1 or 2 was.

Technically they aren't American then since they immigrated too, just 15,000 years before we did. And if you want to get even more technical, everyone is African since we all started there and migrated across Pangea.

But as a serious answer, adding someone's home country first is just a way to honor their home culture, since American culture is largely just a mix of the hundreds of other cultures from around the world.

Like what other people have mentioned, one of the things that is unique to technology careers is that learning doesn't stop when you leave school. Sure, that applies to all jobs, but it applies twice as much to technology jobs.

I have only been out of college for 15 years and already the stuff I learned in college is completely outdated (well, except for core concepts). I wen't from a PHP developer, to Java, to Scala, and to Python in that time. I originally learned to program on Sun workstations, now most people use Macs or Windows. Applications went from large "big iron" systems to smaller distributed systems. Databases from SQL to NoSQL. Even the tools I used to do my job are completely different. But the big thing is you have to adapt to the changes.

Once you learn that, you really won't have as much trouble as you think.

Is that really a thing? I hate the constantly change culture. Is that a primarily US thing? I haven't changed jobs because I really like where I am, but everything seems to say you should constantly be jumping.
I worked at a place for almost 12 years, and still had no real issue getting a job after they laid me off (most of the issues were just remembering how to "prepare" for interviews, and finding jobs that fit my expected salary/experience range). So I really don't think it is that much of an issue. Maybe if you are applying to start-up who expect turnaround of about 2-3 years, but not for medium-large companies.

If you are happy where you are, no reason to jump. The only reason you should be maybe looking at other places is to see if you can get better pay/benefits elsewhere.

I'm not opposed to it but im just not sure what purpose it serves. It might be useful between large cities within states, but I'm not sure it would make sense for interstate travel. A lot of that already exists in more populated areas on the east coast - though admittedly the infrastructure is absolute garbage.

Conceivably the only way to do it on a national scale is by replacing the interstate highway system (which oddly enough is uniquely American only because we had an economic boom in the 40's and 50's when the popularity of consumer cars was at it's peak vs. later when it switched back to rail). The issue being that SOOO many people use the interstate highway system now that it is almost impossible. I mean, anytime they have to do maintenance it not only cost money to do it, but it costs businesses money due to the increased traffic times from closing just one lane. The amount of money it would cost not only the government but the private sector as well is impossible to fully calculate.
