The problem isn't that it's more gun laws.
The problem is that it's always gun laws and bans that either do nothing, or actively hinder minority groups, low income people, or both.

As someone who cares a lot about minority and low income issues, I think this is the least of their worries lmao.

The issue is that any real regulation would almost certainly never pass, so what does get passed is often toothless. You can't actively sabotage all real attempts at regulation and point to what has gotten passed and say "these clearly are ineffective!"

If you have a college degree, you're already in a position to make more than people without. Forgiving your student loan debt is just giving more to people who already have an advantage.

You're already one of the "haves". Do more for the "have nots" by making that additional education more affordable in the first place. I'd rather see the state colleges be free to attend, with similarly state sponsored trade schools for people who are more inclined for that.

That's literally within Biden's plan.

Grad students are seen by some professors as cheap labor. They (grad students) come to learn but some professors just want to use them to lighten their own workload.

I would frame this very differently. Grad students and postdocs are the workforce of the lab. It's uncommon for a PI to spend much time in the lab. But that doesn't mean that the relationship is exploitative. Usually your PI works with you to develop your skills, in lab work and writing. You also should be working toward work that literally has your name at the front of it.

Like, there are good lab environments and bad lab environments, but I would label your description as pretty misleading.

Typically you are either interviewing for a particular lab, or you do rotations, in which case you get the chance to scope out the lab environment.

You don't even really have to throw cold brew in the fridge as that alters the taste too. Been making cold brew for years back when people though it was disgusting to do.

Little did I know I was in to something.

I've found 12 hours out of fridge and 12 hours in fridge produces a delicious cold brew. I typically do it in large batches and then filter into mason jars using funnels and coffee filters. Stays pretty fresh for a long time when capped and stored in the fridge.

Not sure if I'm doing it properly. I just grind up medium roast beans then toss it in the French press with hot water for 5 minutes then pour into a mug to drink.

P. much. You want your grind to be much more coarse than your typical ground coffee. I usually compensate with more coffee overall to increase the strength.
