The books kind of suck in every aspect except narration. Dexter's "voice" is brilliant, but the narrative/plot elements and character motivations all are pretty terrible and make very little sense.

If you are working on a project that is expected to result in publication, talk authorship as soon as possible. It's important for everyone to be on the same page. Different labs delegate authorship in different ways, have different expectations.

First question is hard

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but they are typically told exactly what they have to do for that first one (typically called the trail making task). In the actual trail making task, participants are given a practice sheet, and scoring is usually time to complete, but here it's just successfully drawing the lines.

Doakes gets cut up into pieces by a serial killer in cuba, but then gets put back together as roughly robo-Doakes, whose only role is to wander into Dexter every once and a while and try to make sarcastic accusatory quips which gets misread by a text to speech thing, which Dexter makes fun of. So, the writing in the show is to be praised in reference lol.

If by "stands for", you mean historically consistent, then we can point to increasing funding for education, fighting for good public education, pro gun control, fighting for woman's rights including abortion, fighting for LGBT rights (he pushed Obama to legalize gay marriage), pro immigration/fighting for increasing paths to citizenship.

But I also think that historically consistent is a bullshit metric for any lifelong politician, for many reasons.

Idk, I think it's naive, or willfully naive, to think that the porn and prostitution industry isn't predatory. Like, you have women in terrible financial situations, often caused by escaping some environment that was unsavory, and then you wave an coercive amount of money at them for the commodity of their body.

Now, it doesn't need to be this way. But it would be ignorant to say that this isn't a lot of what happens.

People don't like thinking about this because it makes them feel guilty when they spank. The same way people don't like to think about a lot of the "amateur" porn they look at is really just revenge porn, shared without one party's consent.
