One lone terrorist detonating a sufficiently powerful dirty bomb could leave part of a major city uninhabitable for years. Imagine if downtown New York was suddenly a radiated no-go zone with a twenty year clean up plan? The economy damage would be terrifying. |

Yes absolutely - some European countries have higher relative average earnings, healthcare standards, education standards, lower crime rates etc But America remains a country of great opportunity for those that reach out and take it. If you want to improve your situation in America, you have near infinite options to do so. A lot of parts of the world do not have such potential for the average person. |

I disagree, to me being a celebrity comes with the concession that you are losing control of privacy over anything you do in a public space (eg. someone might take a picture of you wearing little on a beach and sell it to a newspaper) but I don't think they should be expected to be waiving rights to things intended to be private. Sending nude pictures to your partner can be a fun bit of foreplay, I don't think people should have to live restricted private lives just because of their job (be it actor, singer, sportsperson) puts them in the public eye. |

You can't have a job if you're constantly in and out of prison so how are you getting food? You work. You have to pay some of the money you make to taxes. Some of that money goes on welfare to support people like xsquader who aren't capable of supporting themselves. Other parts of your tax money goes to things like the legal system, that has to deal with people like xsquader clogging up the courts because they can't understand instructions like "you are free to leave" :-) |
