Look into the sequence breaks if you want to. Theyre fun to do on a repeat playthrough and some of them are crazy

Im not entirely happy that Epic bought the game and the F2P model is not the greatest but F2P did get me to come back and check it out because I could finally get friends to play with me. The Epic account means easy crossplay at the very least

How is it griefing? On the roller you literally win by eliminating a certain amount of people. Especially when you're doing team shows like the video.

The alternative is being entirely passive and just hoping people fuck up before you do. Which I suppose is a playstyle.

Youre minding your own business and all of a sudden someone goes out of their way to grief you. Its actually why I hate the basketball game, because despite how easy it is if you play it right, I always get a teammate grabbing me for some reason so I drop the ball its like they dont want to win.

Eh, half the time the games don't even try to justify why you have to collect all of your upgrades again each game. For good reason because you're in danger of having Other M level of justification

I mean there is a reason why you get liberal checkpoints in this game instead of being sent back to save stations. It is so you can try again and feel out what you are supposed to do. I thought all of the bosses were fair even though I died a fair amount of times my first playthrough. Second playthrough I barely died to them.

The bosses doing an insane amount of damage is fine... it's like they're another puzzle in the game, as opposed to something you could damage tank in earlier Metroids

I honestly wouldnt take the subreddit tier lists seriously. I always look to see what pros say, because tier lists do vary a lot more than youd think.

Anyone who thinks the Steve players have started winning from nowhere are dead fucking wrong. Steve was originally laughed off as a mid tier at best (certainly in part to that infamous Izaw video that gets memed to oblivion nowadays) and the true believers in the character that stuck with him were quietly labbing the character out while tournaments were still on pause for almost a year since his release.

A year is a long time to push a new characters meta. So these Steve players didnt come out of nowhere. In fact, acola specifically was a top rated menace on Smashmate (online Japanese ladder that many top pros use over there) before he ever attended a single offline tournament. He didnt start winning out of nowhere, and to suggest he is is actually really disrespectful to him because it sounds like youre writing his skill off because of the character he picked. Same goes for the other Steves. Some of them were actually respected players before he even came out (DDee being the biggest example with his Pokmon Trainer, and Yonni was a decent Luigi player).

Its honestly funny seeing whos bitching the loudest about this character (and Kazuya). Its a mixture of the hold forward and win and massive camper crowds. Just people who dont learn the matchup and piss and moan when they lose to a character that requires a lot of studying to beat because theres so many different avenues for skill expression with him.

Anyways Smash Twitter has been annoying af about Steve and Kazuya for months so the Gimvitational results are just going to make it even more insufferable to read

Anyways I do wish the game had a few more patches before they stopped working on it. I think conceptually Steve and Kazuya are fine, though some will disagree with me. I just have no idea why they are so fucking heavy. They should be glass cannons, but just functionally end up being cannons instead. It just skews the risk reward more heavily in their favor because they can blow you up off 1 or 2 interactions if you fuck up badly enough, but live forever. Meanwhile Sephiroth (imo the most balanced FP2 character - he recently won his first tournament, Battle of BC 4, as KEN from Japan exclusively played him in top 8) is light as a feather.

I do this even when trying to optimize my builds because some skills are better earlier than late and some paths suck early on but get massively better late in the game

Erik is a prime example of this. Turns into a late game monster iirc but youre definitely not going down the path that gets you there early

Really the one that needs to be reworked is Freeze (replace it with Frostbite from Legends). Literally nobody likes Freeze existing.

The only thing I was half-sure about is that cosmetics unlocked in OW1 would carry over to OW2, so no need to collect them twice. Don't know if they changed their minds on that though.

Anyway, I bought the Legendary Edition way back when, and honestly the PVP became my least favorite part of the game aside from some of the goofy Arcade modes, so I wasn't super-keen on the idea of being possibly double-dipped just to play the PVE content including the Archives.

It's less about wanting compensation for buying OW1 and more like wanting incentive to move over to OW2 at all.

OW2 is just a massive patch to the PVP, and a sold separately PVE campaign thats coming out later

I played 1 and Second Son. Both were really fun but I dont have a PlayStation anymore

I thought the issue of younger shooters is that they could have a juvenile record that wouldnt be uncovered with the current system. The enhanced background check is supposed to be able to catch stuff like that now

I just played a game as Puppeteer where i lost the ability to demon dash and possess... you know, the two most important things about that army.

Also massive frame drops occasionally. Usually when Warlord units get spammed but it happened to me in that same game I was playing demon. I have an 3070 this should not be happening
