Yes the SWF are the people that you will struggle against most... Like it sucks when I am playing Trapper and I can instantly tell I'm playing against a SWF group because they can just go on comms and call out all of my traps.

It's hard to exploit altruism (the best way to beat SWF groups imo) when you can't even get hooks in the first place due to your power being invalidated. There's only so many useful spots traps can go down.

I don't see people sleep on Huntress actually

Bitter Murmur is a great perk on her. I don't really like playing her but getting hits from across the map on people that just finished a gen feels good

It's really annoying how I get these massive frame drops when someone starts summoning a lot of units as Warlord.

You disagreeing with other people doesn't make them wrong. People saying a killer is bad doesn't mean you aren't allowed to have fun with them. I have fun with killers considered bad.

When there's different characters in a game with different attributes to them, more often than not one is going to be better than others.

I could play Plague or Nemesis (2 killers that are decent in the grand scheme of things) and get 2-4 kills in a game where I'd get 0-1 as Trapper or Pig. I like all of those killers a lot. I'd like for BHVR to make Trapper, Pig and Myers better characters because losing and getting survivors acting toxic towards you is not fun. But I don't expect that anytime soon since they are supposed to be doing a massive 40 perk rebalance over the summer and want to see where the dust settles before making any big killer changes I'd think.

Overall I wish people treated each other better in this game because it is genuinely fun for me. I used to mostly play survivor until recently because I didn't like how I got treated when I played killer by survivors... but now I play both evenly.

If you do get Myers, try him with Scratched Mirror on an indoor map (Lery's Memorial Institute might be the best one for it). It's really fun jump scaring and grabbing people when you don't radiate a terror radius and can see auras of survivors thru the walls if they're close to you. Myers and Ghostface are the 2 killers that have managed to jumpscare me legit.

I mean it sucks playing a weak killer right? By all means play Myers; just expect that you're probably going to hit a wall eventually like I have with Pig and Trapper (who are also bad killers, that I have fun with) where it feels impossible to win when the game matches you against hard opponents.

I'm on PC and have the setting enabled to cross play but I never ever see text. Even if I hang about like 10 seconds after the game ends at the end game reward screen

Anyone with a globe next to their name is on a different platform. If they happen to be on Steam/Epic then they can read/respond to your endgame chat; otherwise they can't see it or type.

No, he's not. He's one of the best killers, he's got an insta down at T3 which doesn't take long to get to with addons.

There's a learning curve for him BUT he's not one of the worst killers.

There isn't much of a learning curve to him. He picks apart bad players but good ones will never feed him his power, or it will take long enough for him to get his stalk off that tons of gens get done. Also he has that dumb stalk cap per survivor.

Look at any tier list and he will be near or at that bottom of it (Otzdarva put him in last place for example).

Michael is actually one of the worst killers lol. His addons give you different playstyles though, probably more than any other killer.

Nope! And my first game was obviously a group because they split up and did the objectives lightning fast. I was only threat level 10 at the end. I didnt know you couldnt even make portals level 1.

Artist is very difficult imo. I havent been able to use her power correctly yet

Theres like a certain way to use it correctly, not to mention you need to be able to predict where people are when you cant see them

It will probably take a month for all the new players who don't know what they are doing to lose interest, and the ones who stick with it and like it will start to make public lobbies more competitive. It just has new player overload at the moment, similar games were the same in my experience.

Idk it varies. I tried the demon once and got stomped. Part of the problem is the game doesnt tell you what to do half the time.

I'm confused as to why so many people are playing an objective games and don't do the objective? Losing so much as survivor because people refuse to read or follow pings and the demon just gets strong and tears us apart

The missions are hard as fuck, I can't beat the 3rd one. But the game itself in multiplayer is a blast. I love it.

The naked ones (the ones that look like theyre phasing and can split into two) barely take damage from bullets. The game doesnt tell you this and puts the melee weapons behind the waypoint marker. So you need to avoid it and go for the melee weapon. Kinda dumb for that faction because the common guys will just explode if you kill them outside of a finisher.

Im not sure how I feel about it yet. The missions are annoying though which sucks because theres 4 characters locked behind them

I think Pinhead has a high skill ceiling (that can be made lower with specific perks that work well only on him: Lethal Pursuer - lets you triangulate the box spawn since you know where survivors spawned, Franklin's Demise - makes anyone carrying the box drop it when you hit them, Hoarder - gives a notification when someone grabs the box) based on figuring out where the box spawns so you can start chain hunts and make survivors scream. It spawns far away from all players in the match.

Lethal Pursuer is good in general though some killers really like it more than others since their powers rely on finding survivors quickly to get chases and hits going.

Well he is a little bit deeper than that. Having tentacle leveled is huge because it buffs the speed, range and lets it break pallets/walls. Also you can drag the hitbox a little.

Legion is a lot better than they used to be. You can now down on 5th feral frenzy stab and their addons got a very good pass-over.

Honestly Dream Snares are so much better for Freddy against good players. I think at this point the bare minimum they should do for him is give him access to both at the same time.

Trapper is really fun imo but horribly out of date. No matter how many times theyve updated him he will always struggle against good survivors/survive with friends teams.

I think the perfectly balanced killer is Demogorgon but you cant conventionally get Stranger Things DLC anymore. Theres still ways though as far as I know tho depending on your platform

Even stealth killers have trouble surprising survivors at higher skill levels. Wraith has his telltale breathing and cloak shimmer, Myers also has breathing and is tall. If youre playing him without Scratched Mirror you will be leaving T1 anyways and he gains a terror radius outside of that. Pigs crouch is slow. Ghostface has a reveal mechanic that lets you know if youre looking at him while he is stealthed. Onryo has a lullaby you can hear even when she is stealthed, and she still kinda flickers in and out.

Oh, and there is Spine Chill, which tells survivors you are looking at them even if you are Undetectable (which can be achieved by other means outside of killer powers as well).

By many rules I assume you mean literally all of them? Playing as/against nurse is uniquely different from every other killer in the game (in a bad way).

Shes very vulnerable to flashlights due to her having the same lightburn mechanic Wraith has. Thats like the one downside she still has when piloted by a skilled Nurse player

Nurse is the most difficult killer in the game but is by far the most overpowered because she just ignores many rules the game has

They deliberately keep some killer perks weak simply due to how overpowered they would be on Nurse

Also if youre a fan of generator kicking, Oppression should be in Shrine of Secrets this week. Its one of the ways to spend iridescent shards you get for leveling up your player level. It lets you get teachable perks without having to level/own the associated character.

#1 perk I would look for in the Shrine is Barbecue and Chili. Not only is it a great information perk (shows auras of survivors when you hook someone) but it gives a stacking bloodpoint bonus multiplier for each unique survivor you hook. Best bloodpoint farming perk in the game.

Stealth killers are unfortunately pretty bad for the most part. Id definitely say Wraith is the best one. Ghostface is definitely a good choice as well though. Remember, you can body block survivors as killer so try to position yourself to cut them off if possible before you uncloak as Wraith (like if theyre heading to a vault for example). You get a burst of speed when you uncloak too. A hit and run playstyle with Sloppy Butcher can be effective but if the survivors have boons, it can be difficult to maintain. They are adding a generic perk next patch that lets you permanently destroy boons though.

Also at some point I would recommend playing survivor. Not only do you get extra xp for the first game you play of a role per day, but it helps you understand the other side a lot when you play both roles.

The point loss is negligible. More importantly you lose tons of pressure against survivors who arent idiots and just crank gens by doing this. If you want to play optimally, you tunnel someone out instead. I only really do this if Im having a hard time though, because its not really fun for me. Survivors being down a person REALLY hurts them though.

The reason why leaving the hook generates more pressure though is that it forces people off generators. If you are chasing someone, and another person is going to hook to unhook another survivor, then thats only one person max that can be working on a gen at that moment.

They said they will add bots to custom matches within the next year, but gave no ETA as of yet.

I played from launch up until last year and my most used were Hillbilly, Ghostface and deathslinger. Not sure what the current tier list is but nurse and hillbilly and usually pretty high

Top tier would be, imo Nurse, Blight, Hag, Artist, Spirit

Would not recommend tc using any of these until they have a firm grasp on the game though.

Honestly it shouldve been like this from the beginning tbh. Taking away moves from things that are too powerful can be a much better way of reigning in problem Pokmon rather than changing BST/abilities (like they did to Gengar). It actually standardizes stuff like Toxic being removed from most Pokmon, and weird situations where people tutored something in Gen 3 like Softboiled Clefable thats not readily available to everyone else since it was never available again after that

I believe there's supposed to be at least 5 new heroes; Sojourn is just the only new one in this beta

Also Orisa is one of the characters that easily deserves a nerf. She's stupidly tanky, has great crowd control and team protection, and shits out damage on top of that

There are characters with complete kit overhauls though? Some were barely changed, some got some big ability alterations, and some, like Bastion and Orisa, got complete overhauls.
