Feeling some FOMO on TQQQ. Didn't even know leveraged indices were a thing until this year, and wanted to drop some into TQQQ back in late February/early March. Wish I did.

IDK still feels like plenty of room to grow over the long run. I mean if you had had been holding TQQQ for 5 years then even when it dropped to 40 in mid March you'd still be up 471%. And its still down a third from all time highs

I think the long term gains more than make up for those losses, particularly if the investor contributes regularly or DCAs.

UPRO seems like a safe long term investment, especially with a hedge and regular rebalancing.

I agree. I understand the intense warnings for the inverse leveraged ETFs like SQQQ, but it's hard not to look at UPRO and TQQQ and not think they're not bad ideas if you have faith the S&P and Nasdaq will recover. Like now seems like too good and opportunity to start a position there to pass up

That's actually my next investing strategy, HFEA. UPRO with TMF to hedge.

Yeah I mean you hear all this "don't hold 3x leveraged long term" and "if you lump summed in at the tip top before that huge crash and did nothing for 20 years it would take 20 years to break even" but this seems like too good of a sip in them to miss out on

anyone else feel weird going to work, sitting at their desk, working on a computer when people are literally at war with each other killing one another at the same time on the other side of the world :(
