If you're not comfortable with how to bear, I would avoid selling calls. Nearly all of my call sales have expired worthless. This is good in theory however the stock itself dropped by more than I sold the call for during time limit so even though I made money on the calls I lost money overall. If you think a stock is going to drop by a lot, the correct response is to sell it or buy puts.
