Match 2 is also kind of weird I guess. Stylistically I like Rave On more, but it strikes me as something that's designed as a generic background music that you'll hear in one area for 10 seconds or something. Not designed to be listened to as a full length song, because then you'll quickly recognize that the song has no substance whatsoever. Who Am I can at least support itself from beginning to end.

In the Koopa discussion, I think that Goomba vs. Koopa might be influenced by match pics. I'd definitely pick Goomba if they both had SMB1 sprites. But if what people are saying is true, then Koopa might benefit more from modern renders, moreso than Goomba.

Game theory: ertyu is a tree???

1. He frequently posts about leaves. You know the old saying "Make like a tree..."
2. His name is supposedly Trey. That sounds like a fake name that a tree would use when trying to blend in with humans.
3. He hates Kirby but is powerless to stop him. Reminds me of the recurring first boss of many Kirby games, Whispy Woods, who is a giant tree.
4. It's hard to type properly when you don't have fingers. Just hit most of the keys in the general vicinity of where you're aiming when you mash the keyboard with your branches.

I got all rainbow medals in Action Henk, which puts me in the top 1.1% of all players who have played the game.

Funnily enough only 1.8% of players have the achievement for getting all bronze medals. Not because getting bronze is hard, but because unlocking the final world requires clearing the world before it, and that task is considered too difficult for the average player. So they don't even have all levels unlocked in order to get a bronze on them.

A rare day when I can decide my votes just by reading the songs involved (but I listened to them all again because they're all good). I like them and I'm familiar with them so it's easier for me to formulate concrete opinions on them.

Bitbop is the weakest of the 4 here, but I don't actually dislike it. There are just certain parts of the song that I like less than other parts. Some time after the R2 match I listened to the whole Blade Ballet soundtrack (it's not many) to get a comparison to Bitbop. All of the main songs are styled after different genres, and I ended up liking a bunch of those better. I like the "bit" but not the "bop" of this song. Einhander, on the other hand, has been the #1 soundtrack on my to-do list (well, to-listen) ever since I heard Thermosphere in R1. I just haven't gotten around to it yet because it's longer (I haven't even looked it up yet but this upload is listed as song 17). This is absolutely my type of music and I'm expecting to enjoy the rest of it if they sound even remotely similar to Thermosphere.

Sorry, when I said max stats I meant they've been Stat Exp grinded to their peak. Their IVs are not max, I didn't bother breeding max IVs since it makes not a huge difference, and the game was easily beaten without it.

Oh, then Snorlax has 0 DV in HP, lol.

Knowing this should make it a bit easier to test numbers though.

It's really hard to tell without knowing their stats because we have to make a lot of assumptions about the natural speed of the Pokemon involved. But it is possible that there was some glitch causing Snorlax's paralysis to not be dropping its speed like it should be. Using a high speed Snorlax (at -1 Speed but not including the para drop) and mid to low speed Machamp and Marowak as examples, you make make the calcs match for Machamp before/after para and Marowak before/after Cursing.

Right off the bat you can see that the Pokemon don't have max stats (you can tell by their HP values). So it's safe to assume that their other stats are not maxed. It's possible for a well trained Snorlax to outspeed a lesser trained Machamp under normal conditions, which would also apply if they were both paralyzed.

The Curse makes it weird though. You can discard any theories about "underflow speed" because Snorlax was outsped by healthy Machamp and Marawak on their first turns. Even a max speed para Snorlax at -1 should be slower than a min speed para Machamp according to the speed formula. My first guess was a strange interaction between Curse and paralysis. Gen 1 had a glitch where stat modifications from status were recalculated wrong if a Pokemon used a stat changing move, but this glitch was supposedly fixed in gen 2 (and furthermore should not exist in the Stadium games). It may be some kind of similar thing (although not the exact same scenario as gen 1).

The amount of unbelievable bullshit that Twitch lets its top streamers get away with on a regular basis has been a running joke for years, so for a big name like this to actually get punished for something, it sounds like it's somehow even worse than the usual stuff that you hear about. So I'm really curious about what happened here even though I don't like the whole "big name streamer personality" culture.
