Rude Buster (Mid-9, 13th) / Scars of FAUNA (High 8, 31st) Apostle's Maraud (10, 2nd) / TIGAR (All Phase Mix) (High 6, NR) Match one is brutal :(. I don't mind either song retiring though. Both are exellent. TIGAR is pretty decent, but I feel it's "phases" doesn't gel as well together compared to DNF, and that one mlg parody video-like wubbing section late is kind of dumb. But overall bigger picture I've gotta hand it to TIGAR. Blue Reflection stuff has been maybe some of the strongest I've fluctuated on liking songs in these contests, and I feel like it's happened with both TIGAR and DNF, with stuff like "ranking them super high" and then "Gee I don't really want to listen to this huh" and now it's bounced back "Wow I love this" and honestly it's probably repeated that same thing during the previous vgmc13 too. It feels like now things have kinda settled in with TIGAR in some sort of 'awesome' level and DNF a number of steps below, but who knows if it has "truly" settled in the long run. Deltarune - Rude Buster [9] vs. 16. jubeat saucer fulfill - Scars of FAUNA [9] Good match. Rude Buster is a lively little jaunt, and Scars of FAUNA is a big ol' Nekomata sandwich. But is it too much bread? That's the real question. - 49. Raiden V - Apostle's Maraud [6] vs. 26. Blue Reflection - TIGAR (All Phase Mix) [8] I said a lot about both of these songs last round so I won't repeat myself. There's just so much stuff going on in Apostle's Maraud that I find it challenging to focus on any one part of it. It just doesn't do anything I like, though, so much as simply have energy. That worked for Rave On, but not here. Second match - neither of these songs appeal to me the whole way through, considering they change what they're doing at least once.
