i'm normally not one to go for asking about a consensus and settling for group compromises. BUT i do NOT have a strong preference between the "site 01/02/04/06" themes of splatoon 3, i like all 4 of those almost exactly the same amount, as long it's still an all phase mix with the slow parts included and all that. i picked 04 because it's sliiiightly my favorite. but if more people wanna go for the one hidekunihorita picked i'm all for that! i do like 03/05 slightly less (i dunno how strongly hotdogturtle prefers the one they mentioned earlier) but tbh if there's a consensus to go for one of those two i'd probably hop on that train anyway

I'd say my list goes 2/4/5 > 3 > 1/6. I feel like I'm in the minority not liking 6 as much as I expect that most people do. And 1 is kinda tainted by more or less being the only thing you hear ingame after beating the game so I've already worn myself out of it. All things considered I'd probably go with 2 (Sudden Depth) if I was like the deciding tiebreaker vote or something. But I'd be happy if either made it.

I was originally going to nominate Splatoon 3 - Whirlpool Tune, but I already demoted it from my day 1 list to a planned day 2 nom, and then I was on the fence about nominating it at all today... But now that Dead Sea has been nominated, I think we don't need two songs that are so similar. So I'm gonna hold off on it (unless anyone actually wants it posted and plans on supporting it, then I'll use a nom on it). I like the mixing on the posted version better than the upload that I was using before, so that's a nice thing.

Dedede was the first Smash amiibo that I actually wanted to buy too, due to (as others already said) being the highest quality from the first few waves. I never got around to buying one, but I'm past the point of actually wanting it anymore.

Now if they get around to reprinting the Splatoon 2 Octoling pack...

No need for a minigame when there are so many full games now.

The 3DS remake was quite good by remake standards (which in the current decade are usually bad by default). I specifically remember being surprised by how much I was enjoying playing the game after not having played it for 10+ years (I replayed the original multiple times in the first 3-4 years that it was out, then didn't touch it again). But the original version is very good on its own, certainly not obsoleted by the remake and not outdated either, it stands up against time in a vacuum.

This kind of depends on the context/formatting of where it's being posted.

I don't think I've ever played a game that has any of those kinds of settings.

The first time I played the game, this was the one that I missed.

Does the first post not mention what the lock requirement is?

I also thought that locks made more sense (for their originally intended purpose) when they were a reward for exceptionally popular songs and not "the primary way of getting songs in", but limiting them to 50% of the field somewhat mitigates that problem even if the issues still exist for those 128 songs. A whole other 128 songs nominated by classic votes/bubble is still a fairly large amount. (And for people who participated in the full lock fest last year, having 128 non-locked songs will probably feel even bigger in comparison)

I was watching someone stream this earlier and it looks fun. Also it conveniently works with Steam remote play with 1 copy of the game.

Best of the OOT-clones, which puts it maybe mid tier overall but better than most of the games released later.

I was working on this yesterday (after a funny realization that the 2 star was the only non-awful Croagunk shot left). Managed to get up to 488x easily, but it was a struggle to gain points from there due to size, direction, or pose. I stopped at 4893, tied with one other player. I just gave it another try today after discussing a potential change with another guy who's working on this shot, and got this in like 10 minutes. Don't let the nice looking stats fool you, this was a real fluke compared to all my other attempts (the placement was especially lucky). But I'm satisfied enough to stop here.

Direction is the key to this shot because you have to take it as Bounsweet quickly turns itself to the right to face Ariados. I also got a good view of Yanmega flying away in the background (that's something that most people aim for when they take this shot, but whether or not it actually lines up is hit or miss).

I took this right before bed because I wanted something quick and this is right at the start of the course. I got a few tiny improvements gradually bringing me up to 5111, and then I unexpectedly got a huge PB straight to 5187 in one shot. For context the previous record was 5165.

Oh, that's awkward, I always thought the Switch version of Baba came out later (I also thought that it was on other consoles besides Switch, huh...).

Maybe this would work better if PC+Switch games were subject to same rule as previous contests where they're eligible to be used in either one or the other gen but not both (like how Twilight Princess was eligible for Gamecube, but if it entered that contest then it wouldn't have been allowed in Wii later). That would solve the issue of games like Baba which are more recognized as PC games.
