I watched the first season or so and I feel like I can kinda see where it's going. Humanity is garbage. Tribalism runs rampant while we literally consume ourselves. Something to that effect, yeah?

Anyways, the main character just annoyed the shit out of me though, as much as the above themes resonate with me. That whole, "I don't care if the odds are insurmountable I'm gonna bruteforce my way to victory because I'm special," attitude that seems prevalent in anime aimed at young boys is beyond cringy to me. I just couldn't do it.

I can get why people like it though, especially if this is the first time they've been introduced to those concepts.

Yeah this is the other side of insanely competitive people at the pinnacle of their professions like Jordan and Brady. Literally cannot handle losing anything anytime ever. Even if it means a lifetime event for a couple hundred kids, a story they would tell for the rest of their lives. Nope, missing them shots would keep him up at night for weeks.

Fox News was created with the express intent of airing right wing propaganda. From the get-go it was specifically designed to be the media wing of the Republican party.

CNN is more like the Jerry Springer of cable news networks. Their entire shtick is getting together a bunch of talking heads from opposing sides and making a spectacle of having them yell at eachother. That's it. That's CNN.

So the two aren't really comparable. MSNBC I guess might be the closest thing for liberals to Fox News, but it's nowhere near in lockstep with the Democratic Party and their message as Fox is with the GOP.

There needs to be some sort of legislation that punishes Youtube heavily for enforcing bogus copyright claims. So many channels get screwed over by strikes on content that is clearly and obviously fair use it's not even funny. Of course youtube is gonna do whatever the big corporations want them to, legal or not. It's where their entire revenue stream comes from. Which is sort of the problem, because the same rings true for the people that would have enact the legislation.

Maybe a union is in order for youtubers? That could definitely fix the problem.

I got a copy of Black Ops like a week early on ebay for like $200 (lol) back then and the servers were actually up already, but it was just youtube personalities playing, so I ran into him and Woody constantly that week. There was another guy named Onslaught too that had it, all names I haven't thought about for a decade.

Anyways, most of the matches everyone was kinda mediocre. At some point Wings messaged me begging to let them rack up some big killstreaks so he could post a sweet video on launch day or whatever. I ignored him and after that they all started "dashboarding" 2 minutes into the match if it didn't start out well for them. That always stuck with me because of the way he presented himself as some super badass CoD player, but my brief experience playing with them alot was extreme mediocrity. A bunch of games where everyone went 14-12 or whatever, and a bunch of games where they instaquit if they died a couple times. Just like any other CoD lobby you'd get into.

It's taught very poorly imo. Would I be any better at teaching it? Almost certainly not, but something I noticed in math courses was that I absolutely suck at memorization. Any time I was being taught a formula, or a set of steps to perform that would get me to an answer, I could never remember it. Ever. I could hold it in long enough to pass a test, but within a week it was gone from my brain.

Any time a teacher could effectively tell me why something was done a certain way, or what the intuition behind some formula was and it actually clicked with me, I immediately got it forever, though. This was especially true for me once I got to Calculus where there are a TON of formulas that save a bunch of time if you know them.

But if I just buy 10 million worth of smack the money is gone anyways and I'm golden for life.

I clicked on a couple of these. Some of them are ok, a few mediocre digs at how much of a scam capitalism is, but at the same time the author also has this weird fixation on the porn and video games being terrible for you. The overarching theme of their work seems to be stop jacking off and playing video games so you can be somebody and get taken advantage of by some soul-sucking corporation.

Kinda contradictory. Maybe they're a porn addict or something? I don't it's really weird.

If you had even a remotely tough time in high school the show brings on a visceral sense of nostalgia. Cuts straight to the heart. Not even sure if nostalgia is the right word, though. Melancholy? I don't know, it just hits very very close to home, and reminds me of thoughts and feelings I had back then. In a good, but not so good, sorta way.

Maybe it's hard to explain. For me though, it makes me feel things. Got a pretty big crush on Judd Apatow's daughter too though ngl.

Chrono Cross is a really bad video game. Not only is the gameplay bad, but it's the one example of a Square game where the story and characters suck. You got this weird Chrono Trigger tie in tacked on at the end, and the literal 100 playable characters makes it so nobody gets fleshed out, nor do you end up caring about any of them at all.

So weird the love people have for this game.

What in the actual fuck does this mean? Regulations would PREVENT this from happening. It happens BECAUSE capitalism. Everyone is so shocked in this topic because billionaires usually stick together and price fix. Regulations would prevent monopolies and price fixing, which is the inevitable conclusion of unregulated capitalism.

Yeah I'll try it when it's free. I'm extremely skeptical of an mmo with diablo style movement and the endgame of a pay 2 win cell phone game, BUT, people rave about it and I'm pretty desperate for something good to play since wow started with all the daily chore bs in the past few expansions.

I kinda feel like at best its not gonna scratch the itch though, I just won't be able to get over the movement. At worst, I'll get really into it, spend all that time leveling up, only to find myself in a situation where I gotta spend $600 every other week to qualify for power progression and raiding.

I'm super hoping that isn't true though.
