I think the big issue of misunderstanding, more than Sailor Moon in particular, was you using your insult thesaurus to say "equally frivolous and meritless" because if you're using that expression it does imply that whatever is on the other side lacks some sort of value objectively rather than it just being something you don't personally like much. And to further aggravate the situation, when you're talking something like Super Heroes, for anyone who isn't as super into the medium as you are, it's going to come off as ridiculous because for a lot of people the entire genre could come off as "frivolous"-- so what I'm saying is to call Sailor Moon that implies a lot more for those kind of people than to someone like you. --- No problem! It was a brief little storyline but that the guy could do more than act the generic cocky heel (which he did well enough don't get me wrong) when given the chance was impressive and unexpected to me. Course none of them are very good and I have no desire to use Braska but you know. Lion's one of the weaker USBs but it's an Ultra in a realm with a small relic pool so I won't complain I guess. Related I now have a complete Lion entirely from lucky draws. Goes well with my complete Curilla entirely from lucky draws <_< --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

| Lopen 07/01/18 3:49:48 PM #485 | I had my doubts Squall was going to be that much better than Ayame who I had burst for before the arcane. So I didn't get it. Redoing it now I'd get it. Not sure Squall with just Burst and no Arcane is really making the difference though. Got Gogo's Water Rod. Uhhh strategy change was changing Rikku to full ice machinist and Snow's secondary to Ice Rush along with TGM on Snow to get Sentinel up before Tiamat's first attack and Hastega on Minwu to get haste like 1s earlier. Squall is currently using +30% sword damage. I had Snow and Rikku on breaks before to undo Tiamat's buffs cause Tiamat's damage gets unreasonable if you can't blitz that last 300k. --- No problem! (Also I really don't think I can get off AOSB + Burst. I can barely get the meter to AOSB + Glintx2 and the burst commands give less than SSS. I think the glint (which is +Ice Armor 2 birds) is kinda important for the strategy to work too, since you can get the meter for that fast and it ramps up the damage of the Arcane and Snowspells pre-chain fairly significantly. The relics I got for Squall fell into place very nicely. No waste. Not sure what I'll do if I get any next fest if I get Celes stuff when I'm drawing for Rydia stuff. I guess I'll probably be done farming Tiamat by then though so it's whatever. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

| Lopen 07/01/18 1:57:10 AM #471 | Yeah Kaxon the strategy I'm using is a good deal different I run Snowspell Strikex8 and x2 on Squall and just use that the whole time instead of Lifesiphon with Squall's enice LMR. Even before Snow Chain gets up it does 6000x4 with a chance to dualcast (Rikku Hyper Mighty G is the only attack buff). Once I use his Glint it does 7300x4 or so. Once chain is up it's reliably doing 9999x4 even at low chain counts. As it turns out Snow gets his meter for his chain at around 13 seconds in (I have him cast wall early as he's the guy with Thundergod on him so he takes slightly longer to charge than you may expect), which times well for Squall to hit his Arcane at around 27 seconds for 99999x3 at close to 99 chain (Lulu with Ultra + potential Dualcast on Instant Hell Shards runs the chain up pretty fast, also have Rikku using Ice Shot for 6 hits and Snow using icicle rush for 4) It seems consistent. Ironically Lulu getting hit with Tiamat magic drain is the thing that hurts my DPS most and I have to restart usually without godly dualcast luck. Squall overkills the 9999x4 so much that draining his attack hardly matters as he's 9999x4ing anyway with chain. It knocks the Arcane down to like 90000x3 which could potentially suck but the Arcane kinda overkills anyway. Squall burst may be better for some situations but with the relics I drew and strategy I use it's unneeded so I won't be going for it. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

Probably won't need the burst honestly. Meter was tight getting 2x Glint + Arcane off so Glint + Arcane + Burst seems impossible without entrust which I don't really wanna bother with if I can avoid and it saves 30 bucks at that. --- No problem! | Lopen 06/30/18 7:53:09 PM #266 | I'm not bitter about Punk leaving. I just think he's grossly overrated by both himself and his fanbase. Had even before he left. He wrestles a style that he isn't very good at in a lot of ways and comes off as sloppy (I guess in that sense AJ Lee imitated him well), and gets undue props for mic skills when half the reason people think he's good is he was given freedom to "shoot" that most guys never got. His Pipe Bomb promo was very exciting at the time but it went stale fast when he tried to sell off his pale imitations as "Pipe Bombs." Straight Edge Society was probably his career peak for me outside the 2 months or so Pipe Bomb Punk was actually fresh and exciting. But even that gimmick had him doing the same thing after a while. I kinda feel like in an era with more dynamic characters Punk would've shone more brightly, but as it is his career was basically a recurring theme of kinda fun followed by beating the fun into the ground. His title reign being like 400 days is too fitting for that reason, as only the beginning and end of it were particularly entertaining. Also Cult of Personality is a bad Wrestling Theme even if it's a good song. Fire Burns all the way. All that being said I do like him and this ranking is a fair one for him. Very solid but not in the discussion for best of all time like some of his rabid fans would have you believe, which is the area where this is. --- No problem! I feel like he's a guy I really need to follow NJPW more to really get because like you I value character and unlike my favorites from NJPW he doesn't have it just by watching spot matches here and there. I feel like if I fully followed the product I could probably get behind him though. Also doesn't help I haven't seen any of his great matches with Omega because I have to go out of my way to see em and yeah the urge isn't there so much with him. Like, he wasn't actually perfect as no man can be, but he wasn't treated as a bumbling fool either. He was closer to actually perfect than not in the ring. Mr Perfect in 2018 WWE would constantly be screwing up while the announcers constantly buried him as "hurr hurr he's not perfect at all look he needs to cheat to win etc etc" But the theory isn't wrong. Because it's a heel gimmick, him showing flashes of imperfection is completely fine to give the faces some ammunition that maybe he isn't quite all he claims-- I doubt it was really a high stress gimmick in any case. --- No problem!
