Yeah breaks kinda wreck that fight. I first tried it with troll FFVI realm party of Setzer Sabin Edgar Locke Mog and despite just having Mog as a healer I was able to last a good while.

Did it again and subbed Setzer for Minwu and won without being at much risk. A dancer is definitely recommended. Also Last Stand (if you have any way to get it) seems really good here with Cloud's Ultimate Limit Breaks hitting so hard at once. I didn't have it but I could've needed it if he used any when I wasn't capped on HP.

But I see you did it anyway so whatever don't mind me. I guess if you wanna bang your head against it again for the 48 Brave Motes try using a dancer with the -Atk and/or -Atk/Mag dances (I had both on Mog cause I have him dived and he can AoE heal with dances) and see how it works out

If you're AOEing them I would guess it's the HP breakpoint thing and would recommend you try and kill em one at a time.

Well I guess now's as good a time as any to actually get around to doing those so I'll go do em and see if there were any quirks I noticed.

I haven't actually done that one yet but unlike with magicite stat breaks are actually useful against raids so maybe that would help you survive if you're getting wrecked too fast. I doubt more offense is going to help you there unless it is actually taking a long time to kill him.

I will say past dissida raids tended to have a lot of scripted offense at certain hp breakpoints, meaning you could potentially eat a gaggle of OP attacks if you killed them too fast, so that could also be the issue.

They just don't really hold up. They were too ambitious and the tech wasn't there yet. Like for console FPS players at the time (like myself, for the record) it wasn't obvious since they didn't know better, but like, play anything from the PS2 generation on and go back to the N64 FPS and they're practically unplayable.

I like Gamecube a lot but it's hard to name many titles on it I enjoy that I find particularly unique. It's possible I was looking in the wrong places but I mostly just think it executes well on the titles I like. Wii on the other hand has a lot of unique titles but they're not enjoyable. Of course "holding up" is much less a problem for those two cause most of the stumbling points for 3D gaming had been mostly ironed out by the Gamecube generation.

Nah I disagree on this point but it's possible I just hold the N64's library in higher regard (or the others in lower regard)

Holding up the worst I guess I can sorta agree with but a lot of why I like the N64 (to the extent I do) is the more unique titles. Stuff like Blast Corps and Iggy's Reckin Balls, which hold up better because they haven't really been "done better" like you could maybe argue for stuff like Mario Kart or whatever.

SNES > NES > Gamecube >> N64 > Wii

Haven't played Wii U or Switch but would expect Switch to slot between Gamecube and N64 and Wii-U to be last.

Pretty much every console since SNES has had the small library issue though. Not really something to hold against the N64 in particular imo.

Nah that was KP. I think non +Atk/+Spd boons are underrated in general, but haven't actually analyzed Ike's options much because for me he's just filler anyway. I can see an argument for running neutral on Ike but it's going to depend on what you want him for.

Anyway

So I've got 200 Mythril right now. There are a few things I'm considering drawing on. This is partially for me to just put thoughts down, though input if you wanna give it is fine.

1. More draws on the FF4 banner.

I have Dark Cecil's Arcane, which is kinda not great without his Ultra or at the very least his Burst to give some source of Infuse Dark. I really would like his Ultra and LMR here, and Paladin Cecil's Wall is also good. 2 great draws here (Decil Ultra or LMR2), 1 good one (Cecil USB), 2 decent ones (Decil BSB or Edward LMR). I also wouldn't hate to get more Decil or Pecil arcanes just cause they're strong boost weapons but they'd be dupes.

2. Draw on the FF1 banner.

Warrior of Light now that he has classic Fighter dress record is one of the cooler Holy attackers honestly, and in some ways I think his chain has a case to be used over the Ramza one if I intend to run a mixed composition, as Edward has a atk+50% + imperil holy BSB which I have. 1 Great draw here (WoL Chain) 3 good ones (WoL Ultra or Arcane, Sara LMR) and 4 decent ones (Sara Burst, Thief Burst, Master Burst, Thief LMR for equip). On raw number of desirable relics this is up there but a lot of the stuff I want is just out of favoritism and not really out of practicality.

3. Draw on fest banner 4.

Only thing that sucks here is 2/5 of the 5* items are dupes (Snow chain and Tidus Ultra). I'd be pretty happy to get the other three 5*s, though, along with most of the other items. 3 Great draws here (Squall Arcane, Tidus Arcane, Rikku Chain), 1 good one (Squall Burst) 5 decent ones (Rikku burst, Tidus burst, Snow burst, Rikku LMR, Tidus LMR). On raw number this is great, but Water is one of my stronger elements so Holy/Darkness focus of the others probably helps more.

4. Hold, draw on upcoming FF7 banner

Sephiroth is a cool dark attacker and his Ultra and Overstrike seem great, and Cloud could get a little help here, even though I already have Ultra Cross Slash, Cloud Cycle seems useful. Vincent Fire Chain isn't bad but I hate most of the magic fire attackers-- I am okay with Vincent himself though and Vivi. It would also be an upgrade to Locke's though, even when used on a physical team. 2 great relics (Seph USB, Seph Arcane), 3 good ones (Vincent Chain, Cloud BSB, Cloud Glint (I don't have a way to enwind him so either one is good)), 5 situationally decent ones depending on other things drawn (Vincent LMR, Vincent BSB, Both Cloud LMRs, Seph Glint).

Overall I'm thinking the right play is to draw on some combination of banner 4 and FF7, but man my heart kinda says Dark Cecil and Warrior of Light. Bleh. Maybe one draw on FFIV and go from there? I dunno.

Finn Balor is another guy I don't really "get" to an even greater degree and I actually have seen a decent amount of his stuff as Devitt.

He has a bit of the vanilla midget syndrome, but really it boils down to slingblade probably souring me on him a lot more than it should, as well as WWE's presentation of him. Watch his Summerslam 2017 match with Bray Wyatt and take a shot for every time the announcers say "Demon King." You will not survive.

Yowza, is anyone else noticing a performance increase from this patch? Not sure if it's the patch itself or the fact that I cleared the cache, but my game used to lag a bit in noble phantasms and they're all completely smooth now - along with everything else being way more zippy. If it's the cache and not the patch, I can definitely recommend clearing it!

Lots of UI improvements too. Friends list is way more informative, there's a slot for avenger/ruler, and you can long click on skills in battle to see their effect which is nice if you have auto confirm skill use on. Also all the help menus and stuff. Really quality patch for sure.

The Elder Gods of Six have rewarded my devotion with Nitocris and 5x garbage

She seems like a servant I'll actually like. I dig the Egyptian motif in general and she had a good summoning quote. Not sure how useful she is. Basically seems like an amazing farm unit. Instant death + tankiness gimmick. ... so probably not very good for other purposes but whatever I'll build her up. Spammable instant death AOE damage noble phantasm sounds useful.

Yeah I never watched RoH much when Bryan was a big deal there. WWE he definitely has always come off as a guy that gets a lot of hype for not much. And you can say "well he's so popular because so much of his audience has seen his RoH stuff" and to that I say "yeah right." There's definitely something I'm missing even beyond the RoH stuff.

Well the people I'm describing are definitely more than a few steps ahead of "people who like Star Wars" is more what I'm getting at. I think you can get really deep into the lore without being defined by it. And as I said I would wager a lot of people who are "defined by it" aren't as deep into the lore as some people I know.

I mean I guess to broaden what I was saying I would say if you define yourself by a fandom you're probably socially awkward to begin with. So yeah it is kinda chicken and egg there.

To be fair I do think having socially awkward people interact with socially awkward people tends to exacerbate the problem so it's probably not quite as simple as "they'd just be socially awkward somewhere else" but I'm just saying normal Star Wars fans exist and it's not cause they're not hardcore enough they just don't find message boards focused on Star Wars worth their time.

"Hardcore Gamers" and "Hardcore Star Wars fans" as you guys define them are going to be cringey independent of the fandom. They're just socially awkward people clinging to something. Take that away and they'll cling to something else. People who are on Twitter or Facebook 12 hours a day aren't much better, really.

Doesn't really have to do with how much enthusiasm they have for Star Wars or whatever else. I know a few completely "normal" Star Wars fans. And by Star Wars fans I mean people who have read EU Books, people who have played the Star Wars pen and paper Role Playing Game, people who own the Star Wars Epic Duels board game (awesome game btw)

Yeah but I can't spam magicites yet so for leveling magicites EXP dungeon is the best option for now and I'm getting close to capping relevant ones

Unless there's a nice conversion of accumulated EXP when using them to upgrade other magicite and I can use 2*s as magicite EXP storage containers.

Hm so I'm starting to out of reason to run Isgebind except for Ice Crystals.

When they phase out the keystones do they buff the Crystal drop rate on dailies as well? I feel like this will be the only boss I'm going to reliably sub 30, but moving onto another one to help build more decks would probably be preferred and I have quite a bit of Ice Crystals now.

I could max out literally every servant I have that uses Dragon Wings and it would only take 21 + 28 + 24 + 28 + 28 = 129 Wings

And that's maxing Saber Lily to boot. Going to get bottle necked by other materials way before those. Don't let having drawn OG Saber and Mordred fool you into thinking it's a high demand material. It's not.

Dragon Wings are one of those things that are

1. Not in super high demand. Servants that need them need small amounts most of the time, and not that many Servants actually use them.
2. Drop pretty often cause we face dragons a lot
3. Strangely are expensive in the shop in spite of these things

I pretty much never get them in the shop unless I have excess currency anyway, and I have 88 on hand.

Course monuments are even more superfluous.

Right now +10 Matthew +10 Serra +7 Tharja and +4 Valter is a high enough value point team to reliably get into top 10k if I only intermediate at most once. If I intermediate twice (I did it this week cause I only tried once and it was close to the buzzer-- finished with like rank 11k) it's when it gets shaky. If I had +10s across the board or merged armors (shame I don't like any of the common armors) it would probably be doable with two or three intermediates, which really is probably more than you should need unless you don't train up many units at all.

If that's all you're aiming for I feel like you can do it without playing their game though you may need to merge up a better point team or get your backups strong enough to reliably beat advanced matches with your strongest team taking point.

Point is don't feel for top 10k it's necessary to play to the blessing gimmick. Unless you've been merging strangely or not merging much.
