Well, Del Rio did accuse Paige of physically abusing him too. But her and her family are all kinds of fucked up. She had a support system with her friends in WWE that she seemingly threw away though, which absolutely didn't help when she hasn't been around them with her suspension and injury.

Like, I don't understand why they're making a movie about Paige's family when it seems like Paige's family are just typical wrestling carny folk. Maybe it will be more apparent when the thing comes out why their story is so much more interesting, but I haven't exactly heard much glowing about them. And their actions during this whole Paige and Del Rio relationship absolutely don't give me any confidence in them being quality people. They keep spouting off about how Paige might commit suicide every time a new incident occurs and it's just like... If you're that worried, then you need to get her help. Involve WWE if you have to. I'm sure they can offer some kind of support if you expressed how worried you were.

The problem is that Paige never matured and lashes out at anyone and everything, and Del Rio is a crazy asshole who has no respect for anyone but himself. If somebody doesn't intervene, this only ends badly.

It's also worth noting that before the audio came out, Paige lied about what happened and said she was just crying because she found out news about a family member and that police was called only because an angry fan threw a drink at Del Rio.

They're very unhealthy for each other, but it sounds like they just get drunk or high and beat the hell out of each other when they're pissed, which absolutely does not surprise me.

And that she tells people to please leave them alone is ridiculous after they keep releasing drunken videos of them talking shit about WWE and that ridiculous public proposal. It's like... You threw this thing in people's faces. And you had everyone in your life trying to tell you to get away from this dude. She needs people more proactive about getting her away from him.

I'd say that Del Rio needs someone to get him away from her too, but he'd probably just get pissed off and beat the shit out of anyone who tries.

I think he said that he was disgraced, but that he didn't understand it or really care and just wanted people to watch it.

However, if you guys noticed throughout this movie, they're building up to J. Jonah Jameson in an extremely subtle way. Spider-Man is a menace because of all the collateral damage he causes every single time he tries to stop something. Since they're in the trailer, I won't spoiler tag it. The first scene with the bank, the chase scene with the van, the Washington Monument, the ferry, and the ending. Spider-Man is a god damn menace, frankly. He's our hero. He still saves the day. But holy crap, everything around him gets destroyed. Just think of how much happens during that van chase scene alone.

And just think about how in the next movie it'll be simple for J. Jonah Jameson to go "Look at this Spider-Man, isn't he actually the worst? Everything he touches gets destroyed! It can't be a coincidence!" and then he grabs Peter Parker and goes "I want video evidence of Spider-Man's asshole live in HD and I want it today!" Because Peter wants to clear Spider-Man's name and also needs to keep earning cash now.

sounds like confirmation bias, like you want to be disappointed.

Nah dude. I love to be pleasantly surprised. I would have loved to be pleasantly surprised by Joe vs Lesnar but it was just nothing we really wanted from it. We're welcome to have different perspectives on the match, but a good deal of people were disappointed in the six minute match we got.

When I'm pleasantly surprised, I'm usually one of the first in this topic to talk about it. But having faith in Raw booking is just something I refuse to do at this point. And I'm far from the only one.

Joe wasn't soundly finished, he was up and staring down Lesnar shortly after the match ended. The announcers are even selling the idea of "he got caught" which is basically telling you it's a bit of a fluky win.

And 80% of the match was german suplexes is an outright lie. Joe was on the offensive for a majority of the match, how do you get this idea that Lesnar was controlling the match and had 80% of the offense? This is literally not based on any reality.

I don't see how it's a fluke win if Brock just stands up and hits his finisher on Joe after almost being choked out and doesn't sell it.

And frankly, if it wasn't 80% of the match, it certainly felt like it. I remember Joe running up and hitting his kicks at the start of the match, hitting a low blow, and taking a ton of germans before putting on a choke hold that is promptly shown to not actually put Brock out.

And while Jakyl is right about how WWE follows up with Joe, I feel it necessary to remind everyone that while TimJab was throwing a tantrum over us going "Yeah, this is going to end up being a disappointing stop gap where Brock looks dominant over Joe to build up Roman vs Brock" and that's exactly what happened. I have zero faith in anything RAW-related. Because every time I think something is going to disappoint, WWE proves me right. Feels bad man.

Like okay. I don't care about any other result from this show.

But I just wanted to see Joe be an actual full time monster and win. I'm tired of absentee monster champion Brock. It does nothing for me. And this match was "okay". Nothing more than that.

Like you can't give Joe a little bit more? You just can't? You really can't make it something competitive? Make it an actual match instead of a snail's pace bullshit fest? Joe's the only guy I actually cared to see beat Brock since they have absolutely botched Finn Balor to the point where it's like... does it matter?

It's back to Roman beating Brock, and who honestly gives a shit? They've been trying to make it happen for years now. Think about that. For YEARS they've been trying to make us care about Roman beating Brock. I just can't give a shit. I couldn't give a shit then, and I certainly couldn't now.

I'm just deflated at this, because it was just so underwhelming.

I mean, out of that list I actually did care about the villains well enough. Probably Malekith the least though, admittedly. But the rest of them perform their role well. I don't get why we need to actively care about the villains all the time. They get enough focus to inform us why they are motivated how they are and provide enough personality that when they're on screen, you are intrigued enough.

Like yeah, it's nice if they end up being more interesting, but if they aren't, does that detract from the movie, especially if it focuses on the hero more? These characters all do bad and nasty stuff enough that you still want the heroes to overcome because you see their struggle.

I completely disagree with Vulture being Norman Osborn. Their motivations and general ideas could not have been more different. Norman controls his own giant organization in the hopes of being able to create a super serum that drives him mad. Vulture is a guy who was completely dicked over in life and said that he's going to take things into his own hands and get revenge on them by stealing all the tech to get the payday that he should've had. Personality-wise, Osborn is just a rich, confident business man. Vulture is a gruff family man with motivations beyond just having an amazing company and then going crazy and murdering people. Hell, he doesn't even hold a vendetta against Spider-Man at all. He just goes "Yo Peter, you need to back off or else I'll have to hurt you." And that's all. Simple and to the point. Were it Osborn, he actively would've went out of his way to kill Peter. And even after being thwarted, he has enough respect for Peter saving his life that he refuses to give him up. Not like Osborn in the slightest.

To be fair, I don't think Vulture is terrible. It's not like everything Vulture has been groan-worthy "Ugh, I don't want to see this character" kind of bad. It's just that he's rather milquetoast. Like, he occasionally has fun stuff, and his skill set really lends itself well to Spider-Man's combat set, wherein a flying battle like that is awesome. So it's always enjoyable. And honestly, old man who gets screwed out of business, but is a genius who has nowhere else to go is actually a good concept.

But this time they allow him to go further. Michael Keaton's Vulture is a smart and calculating dude who operates more rationally than just going all in on some kind of scheme, and he has motivations behind him that aren't just "revenge'! He knows he's doing something wrong now, but it's because he was screwed over by a schmuck like Tony Stark who destroys a city and gets to profit off of it, so he deserves to profit off of it too and take all of it, since a guy like Tony doesn't deserve it for personally screwing him. He gets how the game is played, and is only willing to stoop that low when he had nothing left. He's a great villain, and much more inspired than any other Adrian Toomes. But more than that, he lost and he doesn't swear revenge. He has the chance at the end, but he knows Spider-Man saved his life and that he's already caused his family enough pain. He lost, and he just wants to accept that loss, even though a guy like Mac Gargan is the one who wants revenge on Spider-Man. It's a very interesting contrast, and I'm curious to see what comes of it in the future.

And that costume is great. He's menacing, his suit makes a lot more sense and is very practical. It's not just weird razor wings. I loved it. The green eyes were particularly awesome.

I like the Amazing films a lot more because they actually understand Spider-Man more than the Raimi films ever did. It's hard to hold too much against Webb though because the editing in the movies and the company meddling was just ridiculous. Remember in the trailers for the first Amazing movie we were going to find out a secret about Peter's parents that straight up got edited entirely out of the movie? And the second movie was such a mess because of meddling out of Webb's control too. I think if Sony stopped sticking their dick in the production of those movies, we would have ended up with something a lot more enjoyable.

Anyway, we need to talk about Michael Keaton and how awesome he did. He was truly a special part of this movie being so good. And this is pretty much the best portrayal of Vulture, comics and all. He has a really cool look, a much more solid motivation, and his personality is probably the best it's ever been as well. I really enjoyed how good he was.

Wondering what we get for villains in the next movie. Do we get the Sinister Six or are we going to keep building up to them? And when do we get to see Osborn?

People don't get into like any of these cruiserweight's moves though. They at dead silent almost all of the time. I honestly have no idea what they can possibly do aside from let them put on awesome matches on Raw so people can go "Oh shit, the cruiserweight's are out! At least we're bound to get a good match!"

But the point of Raw getting the cruiseweights was because they had more time to us them. If they just gave them like 45 minutes a week, they could at least establish them instead of giving them 10 minutes a week and being confused they aren't over.

The Gawker case is a bit of an oddity, because Gawker got kinda screwed in that case (although they probably screwed themselves more). Basically, they probably would have won the case with some more meaningful evidence, what it was escapes me (but I think it was an indictment that Hogan was actually profiting from the fallout of the case and continued to act like he didn't care until the trial happened). But what ended up happening was that they tied up the release of that evidence in paperwork. And even worse, their attorneys were super bad and the law firm that defended Gawker was actually bought out by the legal firm I work for immediately after that case ended. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't appeal, because I probably would've been doing some work with the case then!

I'm well aware as someone who posts exclusively from an android with ads. I still take the time to fix the errors.

Half the time if you do not get the message out fast enough the screen goes to an error screen and deletes your message and you have to restart from the beginning. Or every click you made went to the advertisment cuz it lagged ur keyboard out and you have 35 advertisement windows opened.

Sometimes you gotta close an ad window. When it lags you just copy what you were typing and just swipe close the browser and reopen it, almost always works. I'm using the default, for God's sake. What crappy virus ridden mobile browser are you using?

I have the same issue sometimes with my phone too. I've had it lag out for a very long time, mix letters up constantly, and going back to fix it is just torture. There's been times where I just outright give up trying to reply to shit because of how poorly optimized it is.

Eh, full time retail are obligated to force health insurance on you. However, that also means that they've seriously cut back on how many people that they will let be full time, and they watch the number of hours part timers get intensely to insure that they aren't over the average number of hours they work before they get insurance.

It's one of those things that the ACA really made things rougher all around for retail, and in my opinion, it's one of the reasons that it's been on such a slippery slope where people end up not wanting to bother going retail anymore. I never looked it up, but was there anything in the AHCA that was going to address that issue with businesses like that?

And for the record, I don't take any of Trump's asinine comments about the media seriously, and I certainly wouldn't call them fake news. There's a lot of dishonest news, and that's the key difference. I feel this entire situation is extremely sketchy and the way in which CNN keeps framing and the language they are using doesn't sit right with me.

Alternatively, while some people are always extremely skeptical of the media, I feel like there's a lot of people who don't question the media at all which is also extremely harmful. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle, but when CNN is crying and pitching a fit about how threatened they feel about a wrestling meme, it's very hard to give them the benefit of a doubt here.
