Wish Upon wasn't terrible. It still does a couple things that make you go "Movie, you know that's way too convenient." And it's basically Final Destination for half the movie. But they took chances with the movie and I appreciate that.

Like I said, the combat system seems absolutely crazy right now. So many options that feel like it might be stretching a bit too thin. When you have so many options, sometimes the combat as a whole ends up suffering as a result. You can even take over mechs and stuff for a short time. But like I mentioned, if they've been working on this combat system the whole time, I think it'll end up being as good as it looks.

Yeah, I'm really hoping to have a ton of fun with Infinite because there hasn't been a fighting game in forever that I could really get into. The game has issues, but I will never understand anyone who says any of the issues with Infinite are the gameplay. Because the gameplay looks crisp and fun.

At the same time, I'd say that this year's EVO kind of vindicates the reasoning from Combofiend about having two characters in Infinite because a third character was primarily just used as an assist because almost every team had Doom assist.

Anyway, here's an interesting Reddit post about the viewership of 205 Live.

"I'd like to point out for the record that this is not entirely true. I am Steve Coulson, former contributor to WWENetworkNews.com and during my time with that site, along with WrestlingDVDNetwork.com among others I tracked the system.
During that time, the Observer among other sites would be mistaken and I'd email them corrections, which would then be fixed in most cases. This is a situation where WOR is incorrect. CWC did indeed beat NXT many times, that is correct. NXT beats 205 Live nearly all the time, that is also correct. However when they said it wasn't in the top 20 for that "week", that isn't how it works.
The Top 20 system is typically updated Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Sometimes it won't be refreshed for a day or two. During these occasions, shows that aired in the past day will not appear on the top 20 list. For example, when I would do a Top 20 article on a Thursday, sometimes they did not refresh it that day so NXT would not be listed. This isn't because NXT didn't make the top 20, as you'd see older episodes still appear.
Regardless of the opinion on 205 Live, it is almost always in the top 5 most watched shows for a few days after release alongside Talking Smack, NXT, and either original content or a PPV. It almost always stays within the top 10 or top 20 until the next episode appears, and sometimes multiple episodes will be listed.
Again, the point of CWC being more popular than even NXT is factual, as is NXT being more popular than 205 Live. However I thought it was important to clear things up as things aren't as dire as they appear."

I would also like to know how many people actually watch NXT "live". I usually just watch it during my workouts at some point.

I'd argue that would be the same case for 205 Live, but it isn't its own standalone show and you need to see it before Monday if you want to be caught up for whatever happens on RAW, and that's just... ugh. Frustrating. The only solution is to actually give those guys time on RAW, but they won't. If you give them time and have actually compelling stories on RAW, people will actually feel like watching 205 Live. Instead of having all of these blow off matches on 205 Live, put a couple on RAW. Like if they had Tozawa vs Kendrick on RAW, people would have been far more into Tozawa. If you put Cedric Alexander vs Noam Dar and Dar's break up with Alicia Fox, it would reach more people and help these guys get more over. But my god, they just don't give them anything they can possibly get over with on RAW.

205 Live would die a horrible death if it wasn't live directly after Smackdown. Like, the argument for it being BEFORE Smackdown is good, or even being taped before and then aired at 10:30 could probably work. But it not being around Smackdown in some capability would kill it, because nobody's going to turn on the Network to watch it if they can just read the results online. People barely do as it is, so give them an even bigger excuse not to, and...

I argue that expecting people to watch even more wrestling in a 2/3 day period is absolute insanity and that while it may be slightly better before Smackdown, I don't think it makes much of a difference.

I'm with Lopen in that I'd much rather watch it on another day, possibly Wednesday with NXT. But even then, ugh. More wresting in a short period. People forget all about 205 Live because they build up for those shows on Raw and then they need to wait all the way until after Smackdown to get a follow up.

205 Live is a niche show for die hards. You're only going to seek it out if you want more wrestling in your life. The only way it starts to hook casuals is if they stop treating the Cruiserweight Division as a piss break and a failure on Raw. But that means it doesn't matter when it is.

But I'm with Jakyl. I don't understand why you'd get rid of cheap programming that only makes your product more interesting. The worst thing they did was put 205 Live after Smackdown and making it so if you want to watch Talking Smack, you need to wait an hour.

Like, it just makes no sense to me. In two days you have 6 hours of wrestling with Raw, Smackdown, and Talking Smack. With 205 Live that's 7 hours. With a PPV, you're looking at up to 11 hours in three days. That's ridiculous. Why not just put 205 Live on Thursday? It makes no sense to me.

And I always thought Talking Smack was very much underutilized as a plot-strengthening show. You have people talk, but unless it was the Miz situation or people being attacked, they didn't acknowledge the show at all. Why not, after Baron Corbin talks some shit, have Sami Zayn come out on Smackdown the next week and go "Hey, what the hell guy? I heard you were saying x on Talking Smack. I have a problem with that." Or have matches set up on there. Or have guys actually be challenging one another on the show? Or hell, do anything to further a plot on there that wasn't just guy randomly beats up another guy.

I dunno, it doesn't make much sense to me. It had a following. It was fun. It couldn't have been expensive. Seems like it would've been better to keep it to keep bragging about your original WWE Network content.

Despite what anyone thinks of the NXT crowd, you can't tell me that one of the biggest drawing points for NXT wasn't the crowd. I think we all remember the awesome chants they came up with that we all thought were great back in the heyday, even before the first ever NXT special they ever had.

In particular, people loved the crowd because it seemed excited unlike on Raw and SmackDown where it was constantly silent.

I would rather have silly chants than absolute dead silence during every match like it is now. It's so much more of a drag to watch because they only allow people to react to big moves, but nothing else. They don't let then cheer or even chant someone's name. It is utterly soulless now.

Also, the NXT crowd trying to shush people is true. I watched through the first two matches on NXT last night and you can hear them shushing people. This is by far the dumbest thing I have ever seen and the NXT crowd has gone from having fun to being the most selfish crowd ever. Just to hear commentary from a guy you can hear later. And frankly, Mauro is great, but he's not so great that you have to strain yourself and enforce other people to be quiet so you can hear what he's saying.

So my only question about this game.

Does this remaster/remake/whatever it is actually have combat that is fun now?

Because when I played I wasn't too into the plot and the gameplay was just stare as fighting happens without anything intriguing happening. I quit not long after it showed that the game would let me have a fourth party member with the guest Gruff Soldier Man, and then took him away and said "Nah, we're downgrading back from that and making you have only three party members at a time." I was annoyed because having four party members seemed like something interesting, and the game proved it could handle it, and then it took it away for reasons I cannot understand.

Well, this whole argument started when Paige got news about her dying uncle and was upset, Del Rio was getting annoyed by something, and then he told her that he hopes her uncle dies. And that when he was also angry after having water thrown into his face, he called officers to arrest her for assault.

I mean, I guess some people say things when they're mad, but usually well-adjusted people don't tell people they hope beloved family members die and try to get them arrested. And Paige being incapable of understanding that and taking a second to go "Oh hey, this guy is probably doing more than just saying stuff when he's mad." It's worth noting that her brothers say Del Rio physically abuse her and that Meltzer has seen pictures of bruises on her (and apparently on Del Rio too).

"Alberto didn't want me to say full story because he didn't want people to know and I didn't want people to know that I threw a drink on him. But the full story is. I had a phone call saying my uncle is in a bad way. I'm crying outside the restaurant. I go in, alberto is hugging me. I'm a little sensitive and we start bickering about something so small. I say I'm leaving and he says something that I won't write on here but it wasn't nice and I, even though I shouldn't have done it. I threw a drink in his face because I was so angry. Again. Shouldn't have done it. It was in front of a lot of people. I walk out. He follows me a few seconds later and gets the cops and security and a crazy lady decides to leave whatever she's doing to follow us and invade our privacy in the completely low way. Only low life people would do.

Anyways. It was ME who was being held for battery charges because I threw a drink on him. No. he never touched me and no I never hit him with a glass 3 times like the internet in all their glory is making out. Its completely ridiculous how one story can spiral out of control. Oh and guess what internet. He smelt like beer BECAUSE I THREW A BEER ON HIM. Nothing more. Nothing less. No one got arrested. There's no mug shots. There's no charges. Nothing. The horrible, disgusting human being of lady decided she wanted to make money out of our misfortune. I wish, WISH people would give us the privacy we deserve. I know we won't get it. But I WISH that would happen.

And if you listen to that stupid audio. You will hear him saying he's pressing charges on ME. We all say stuff when we are mad.

That's all I will say about the airport situation. Again. Thanks for the privacy at this time."

Well I mean, I think they did a really good job hinting that a lot of the time random BS gets solved between the movies with Civil War wherein it seems like we're just jumping into the middle of it where they've been trying to track down Crossbones for a while. Kind of like how in Age of Ultron they were hunting down Strucker for a while. We just catch the tail end of these things.

And in Spider-Man, it seems like Iron Man is still out and about, doing stuff. But he's keeping it bigger threats as opposed to random stuff. For instance, it felt totally natural with the ferry scene where he comes along and everyone is happy to see him because he saves the day again. That's how it felt for me, at least.

And a non-crime fighting thing that happened in these two months is that Tony and Pepper got back together.

OMG. The Retro show on Bryan & Vinny & Craig show. Bryan watched 40 minutes of Nitro and didn't realize it was a show from two years prior because he said everything seemed like it was the same as it was on the year he was watching. The only reason he realized was because Buff Bagwell came out to wrestle when he just watched a show where Buff announced he had a serious neck injury.
