So what exactly IS the "Cap is HYDRA" storyline? I remember reading the first issue and thinking it was just some gotcha thing with mind control or something that would be over in a few issues, but it sounds like its still going? I lapsed out of comics around that time so I know I should probably just read it, but I'm lazy.

Also...is it actually any good? Or just a shock value storyline?

Gameplay/Time Management related question about Palace 7: Between Morgana and the System Message stressing I spend time with people I'm wondering if completing the Palace causes a timeskip like P4 December. Does it? And if I choose to put it off anyway do I miss anything? (again like how if you put P4 December off to the last two days you missed Christmas Eve scenes)

Not that I *need* the time really. But all things being equal, if I can avoid a timeskip I'd rather do that and just spend the time hanging with the group for more scenes and stuff.

Also probably late on this but no, it does not. In fact, doing it before the deadline opens up your party members for Confidant hangouts just like the rest of them. The game literally lies to you when it tells you to do all your social stuff before you complete the palace.

Yeah Chapter 13 is good, it just drags a little too long. Good concept though and has the kind of plot going on the rest of the game could have used.

Complaining it's not a huge dungeon with tons of strong monsters to fight is dumb to me because those dungeons are still in the game!

11/20 plot spoilers

I've been waiting so fucking long for the payoff to the god damn pancake scene. I am glad the characters noticed, not so glad it took them around 70 hours of playtime and half an in-game year for them to do anything about it. Biggest foreshadowing, also potentially most easily preventable plot twist. <_<

Does telling Sae about your accomplices/Confidants actually do anything? It seemed like I was supposed to do it by the characters telling me to remember my contacts, but Joker wondered if it was really the right choice when I tried to so I backed out. And I didn't get a bad ending so.....I guess it's fine?

Also I used the STR 10 reward to make my boy Siegfried, and got him with Auto-Matarukaja. That skill is so incredible for random battles and I destroy them now. Once I get some more cash I can upgrade him a tier with a treasure demon too so I'll be even more powerful.

Did they ever explain how the Hunter quest got so botched? Alley Cat and Patches not ticking it twice while Shaman can tick theirs up 4 at a time on one spell seems really stupid.

Priest also triggers on summon, not on play. Maybe Hunter's was also on summon, but they changed it after Lifecoach told them that is was broken. Maybe he was never wrong about it being OP at all!

Margaret was solid, she just suffered because they didnt give her any time to DO anything. And they hadn't figured out they could make the S. Link rank ups trigger cutscenes like in 5. But her puns in the social links were A+.

Rank 10 with thwm and Carolina and Justine still haven't done anything to impress me. I just see them as worse Margaret and angry Elizabeth. The twin dynamic is the only thing saving them.

Still better than Theo, who is ONLY good when Elizabeth is around.

Got back from 2HG. Only played 3 rounds but had fun despite some stressful games.

My partner made a BW Zombies deck, the archetype seems pretty fun. I was left with some ramp and fatties (that mythic snake zookeeper guy, embalm hydra, giant green hexproof douche), but almost no filler so I repressed my inner Green player and made a red aggro deck with a blue splash for more playables. That card that gives all attacking creatures +2/0 is predictably nuts in 2HG.

Went 2-1, with the 1 being us getting btfo by Austere Command. I am still a little salty.

Has anyone been playing the Midrange Murloc Paladin deck? It looks sweet....super sweet...but I don't know if it's "four epics and a legendary worth of dust" sweet.

I think if I blow my dust on a stupid deck, it's gonna be something with Lyra in it. Probably Dragon Priest because I can at least use the Primordial Drakes in Taunt Warrior as well.

Incest was always a fun topic in the population genetics courses I took because it always led to the professors mentioning how from a mathematical perspective, first cousin offspring aren't even that bad, but it is just kind of weird.

It's worth it just for the INCREDIBLE gag during the school trip. He's also pretty good in the group chats, which I actually like when they aren't just complaining about the deadline. I'm probably in the minority for that.

I'm glad I ended up liking Yusuke though because his first impression was real bad on me.

Compared to P3 it's miles ahead. That game basically only had Operation Babe Hunt, and everyone basically stays in 2 or 3 major groups for interaction.

P4 is kind of an outlier in terms of tone, but P5 is a nice midpoint. And I get why people like P4 because I love it two, but we've literally had 6 fucking games and two animes of P4. It is time to let go.

I don't know if you have a lifegain subtheme (I do see Felidar Guardian in there), but Well of Lost Dreams is as close as you are going to get to a mono-white draw "engine" if you do. Archangel of Thune is a good lifelinking angel I don't see.

I also like Angel of Serenity, but I play a blink deck so I have a bit more ways to abuse it with permanent exile effects. Worst case scenario, it's always some recursion.

The data that comes from data reaper is based on user-tracked games across all ranks, so you can probably assume an average amount of misplays. It's more relevant to the average ladder player than pro win percentages. I feel like the Tempostorm meta snapshot is a better look at what you can expect to run into on ladder, I just don't trust it for actual matchup rankings at all anymore.

I'm not really noticing the lack of interaction scenes. The fewer, more grounded hangouts and group chat is enough to me. There's more of a focus on actual plot, which I think is a better direction.

Plus I don't think I want even more cutscenes. I just got palace 5 after what felt like at least 20 straight days of fucking cutscenes

Edit: well, maybe not better, but...we already had Persona 4. There's tons of anime that have that tone, if you want that. This is different, and still good.

You get the ability to make infinite money in the game at rank 2 for Sun. Price is a complete non-issue after that.

And there are plenty of 'crazy abilities' (not that I'd call EITHER of the problem examples here 'crazy abilities' since one is just more options in a shop and one is 'you get all the money ever') in the game that don't completely break it, like pretty much every one of Hifumi's abilities which are all super useful but don't make the game less interesting.

I mean I realize this is just opinion at this point but I don't even think "infinite" money is that good! Equipment is fairly meaningless, you want good defense gear but the attacking gear just needs to be "good enough." Gear is time-gated so you can't skip ahead to ridiculous levels. The only impressive expensive accessories are the Invigorate ones, but like I said earlier it seems like you're more expected to one-shot dungeons. So, most of my extra money goes to social stuff, or messing around with Persona fusion, which is a GREAT thing given the extra Velvet Room mechanics they added that I would have just ignored if I was constantly broke.

Sun 2 and 5 should probably have been switched just because 2 is just way better. But let's be real, it still requires grinding to get amounts of money where you can buy absolutely everything you want, it just makes it easier.

Well Persona 4 also had the Fox making SP restoration trivial about halfway through the game. I think it's fine in this game too. You can only get the accessories at a reasonable price once you have a specific social link at Rank 7 in a game that emphasizes doing Social Links gets you some really good shit. Coffee takes time and I only one-shot dungeon 3 by blowing my entire stockpile. Even if I didn't, I still have a handful of Snuff Souls I could have burned if I wanted to use them. This game mitigates being able to one-shot dungeons by having Mementos as another time-killer and also making boss fights use two days. It's probably something they did intentionally.

Imo taunt warrior is annoying not really because of the power level but because all they do is like play taunts and clears and nothing else. They don't really seem to have a lot of decision making trees from what I've seen but I don't have the cards for the deck.

Classic Control Warrior is much the same way outside of the control matchup. Taunt Warrior has less removal and more threats, but both decks are just trying to stall with filler cards and removal until the wincon. Taunts just curve better.

I've written off the matchup as Zoo and Hunter and it definitely does feel more annoying to play against if they pull off their endless taunt chain. It doesn't seem horribly oppressive though.

I played some Zoo for (gold) quests and I am so upset that PO is gone. As a diehard zoo player it just makes me sad. It was probably too good with Dark Peddler (I know I've had games where I've just surprise won with 3 POs in hand), and still probably very good without, but man. It feels like I'm playing Zoo while missing a finger or something. It's healthy for Standard though! I'll admit that.

I also crafted the Warrior quest to get some quests done as well. I think my next big decision for my dust is whether to commit to Taunt Warrior or Midrange Hunter. Missing a lot of epics for them since appparently Sleep With the Fishes + Primordial Drake is meta in Warrior now and same for Rat Pack in Hunter.

I have enough dust for both but I still wanna craft sick legendaries. delete epics imo
