5 mana 5/4 taunt is literally booty Bay though so IDK

I'm not saying I would run Booty Bay Bodyguard as-is, but if it was a druid choose card that allowed you to give it taunt or a second ability, are you saying it wouldn't be worth considering?

I don't think so. Druid of the Claw is way better, and 4 mana 5/4 Taunts aren't even good enough. Divine Shield is probably the biggest thing you could get off it from what I see.

The other big thing is that it doesn't seem like you are guaranteed to get Taunt as an option. There's ten total, and you get to pick from 3. Not sure on the math, but this kind of thing seems like you want a reasonable body to start with so that the versatility can actually matter.

I don't know about standard because it will depend on the quality of deathrattles in the format, but Amara seems busted in half in wild with Deathrattle Priest.

Still, Quest seems like a cool mechanic. I hope there's more than one per class. There should be, otherwise I wouldn't think they'd have to specify that you can only have one. There are probably some neutral ones at least.

Arena's even worse to me, there's zero synergy between cards at all so it comes down to slow value trading forever and who picked the better cards

Yeah I haven't even done 20 this month. I try to log in once a week for brawl and quests but I don't even manage that all the time.

I love Reno decks so you'd think I'd be happy with that outcome, but turns out I hate the mirror and how long games tend to go with that. Basically I miss when it was just an extremely greedy midrange deck and not THE control archetype.

Blizzard does tend to kill decks that have more complex decision trees, but I don't think they're trying to remove things that aren't autopilot. For example, combo decks get killed all the time, but that's because what's a complex series of decisions from one player is 0 decisions for the other play, which they don't like. But stuff like Reno is rarely autopilot, and midrange decks only feel that way because decks like Midrange Shaman just have very powerful and versatile cards. I think that problem can be fixed.

The coin flip aspect can be frustrating but the game needs to make up for its lack of variance somehow. I still think in a game like this you don't want to have low variance all the time, but it's not really balanced currently. Ragnaros and Sylvanas will take care of the biggest and most consistent offenders, at least in Standard. But then it's on to the next worst card.

I'm not really surprised Lifecoach left because he seemed frustrated with competitive play for a while. It's more concerning if more pros follow his example, which we'll have to see. But I also don't think most pros are in such a good position to do that as Lifecoach is, so it might not amount to anything.

Oh big tip as well, when you go to do a social link, make sure you have a persona of their arcana. You get a bonus to the relationship points you earn so it's less likely you'll have to "waste" a day hanging out with no rank up.

There are two social links you can eventually do at night but until you unlock them it's basically for studying or other stat increases at the mall.

You can also go to Tartarus at max progress anyways to do Elizabeth's missions if you are missing any. I think the PSP version even added rescue missions you can do on certain dates to drag you back in.

Oh that reminds me, I drove past some demons doing side stuff in Chapter 9 and Aranea came out of an imperial airship to help me out. Except because I didnt actually fight them, she was just disappointed the fight was over and left

Awesome feature, though I haven't had it trigger since and now I have those headlights so it probably won't again!

Yeah I figured as much but it's weird that there's a lack of good filler for a while. But I keep getting better food so I suppose I'll stop being cheap!

Dumb question but is there something I'm supposed to do to get better weapons? Not counting the royal arms and like the two upgradable weapons that aren't Prompto secondaries, it feels like I've been stuck with the same s***ty vendor weapons for 25 levels or so.

I just got to Chapter 9 and didn't see any weapon shops in the new area so it feels like I'm doing something wrong. But I still have a bunch of dungeons to do.
