Finally sucked it up and built Taunt Warrior, and I have seen Token Druid seven games in a row because of course. I see NOTHING but direct counterpicks.

Since I started keeping track, I've gone second in 70% of my games and have faced a direct counterpick in 85%. It makes an already unplayable game even worse.

Just played a Mage in Arena who got Lyra from Firelands, and immediately buffed it to a 5/7 from the Mark of the Wild he stole earlier from me from somewhere I don't remember. He then went double Thoughtsteal and Swipe on the next turn and I was so totally fucked the rest of the game.

Has anyone been playing the Midrange Murloc Paladin deck? It looks sweet....super sweet...but I don't know if it's "four epics and a legendary worth of dust" sweet.

I think if I blow my dust on a stupid deck, it's gonna be something with Lyra in it. Probably Dragon Priest because I can at least use the Primordial Drakes in Taunt Warrior as well.

Had a match versus a paladin where turn 2 I coined a 4/8, turn 3 play a 4/8. Turn 4 double purify. Other dude Conceded instantly. I thought it was pretty funny considering how much of a joke purify used to be.

I have enough dust each expansion to make one good deck, but I haven't decided what it should be this time yet.

Old Gods was C'Thun Warrior. MSG was Jade Druid (and Shaman since Aya went into both). Poverty midrange Hunter has just been the right cross section of fun and effective so far.

I went forward and crafted Tarim and yeah it's really good.

Inquisitor is a good one drop, with the hero power being really good. Megasaur is going to be used in every murloc deck going forward. Tarim is actually really nuts. You can either make some trades with your dudes or get burst with a full on quartermaster effect combined with warleader.

I benched the purify priest this last week because of a big losing streak I was on, but I just tried it again and went on like an 8 game winning streak. Rank 5 was within sight. Then I ran into this shaman I'd never seen before that devolved my board, played a doomsayer, gave it ancestral spirit, and protected it with a shieldbearer. I had to led it go off. It came back, and he put spirit echo on it and some other annoying shit.

Yeah silence priest is usually boon or bust. I think the biggest danger is that the deck is super easy to tech against. Like most classes don't even have to run a bad card to completely have a "I win" draw.

As much as I hate playing Pirate Warrior, it dominates Quest Rogue, which feels really good.

I spent 15 minutes today thinking of new names for my decks, and I'm not at all happy with how they came out. Someone give me names for Elemental Shaman, Quest Mage and Quest Priest that aren't terrible, please. Mage is currently titled Britney Spears...

alternately play silence priest which is probably even cheaper yeah and likely just as effective. possibly more fun if you've never messed around with playing it before.



right now I'm still working on refining my paladin deck but honestly I have not put that much work into it. I've been too busy the last week or so to play almost any hearthstone.

i did it with the purify priest too. I've tired out midrange hunter and taunt warrior and they were pretty good, and even played a few games as pirate warrior but it just didn't feel right. coming back to purify was just the best feeling.

I just hit rank 5 as well. Its been a pretty steady climb while i alternate between 3 decks, switching out on each loss.


Quest Warrior: 27-21
Midrange Hunter: 22-21
Purify Priest: 29-21

Nothing super amazing but each deck has gone on at least 1 nice win streak during the climb.

Still time to push for legend, but ill see how it goes.

I had two quests to win with paladin, so I took my control healadin for a spin in rank 9.

Went up against 3 Burn Mages, a Pirate Warrior, and an aggressive Beast Druid.

Easiest 5 game winning streak of my life.

I'm at the middle of 2 right now and I was at 1 earlier but dropped a bit

Been playing Mid Hunter and Paladin, mixing it between an Aggroish Paladin and a Midrange Paladin. Lots of other Paladins may make me actually use Hungry Crab for tech (I surprisingly don't have it but I thought I did)

I've also just joined the "hit rank 5" club. My climb from 10 started with Quest Warrior, but with a goal of hitting 5, the time each game took and the amount of wins I was getting wasn't really efficient, so Midrange Hunter saw most of the action.

I went on a good run from 7, then got gatekept with one star to go at 6 four times, three of which involved a Quest Warrior getting a favourable Brawl, which was incredibly tilting.

I had enough, switched to Pirate Warrior, and got two quick wins. I think I'm going to stick to Quest Warrior now that I'm not focused on climbing.

Don't worry it wasn't me. I never get favorable brawls.

The last time one of my own minions won a brawl i had the cards necessary for lethal even if brawl hit literally anything else.

If I played around them, I would've never been able to get in enough damage before getting overwhelmed by taunts. The first was easily the worst, in which I had 4 minions on board, including a buffed Hyena, and on turn 8 he played Dirty Rat, which grabbed a Highmane, followed by Brawl. I likely would have won if any of my minions had survived, but of course he had to win the 1/6.

By the third game against Quest Warrior, I had already accepted my fate on the Brawl, which made conceding a lot easier.

Brawl is my spirit card. I get so many perfect results.

I have to say, ranked is way more fun once you're up past 15. None of this rogue deck type crap where people win via charity. My wins and losses all feel fair.

Not Rogue the class, rogue as in randomly slapped together bs.

I'd be curious to see freeze mages win rate. I swear I rarely ever see it win when watching streams.

I think it's at around 50% (Non-Quest). Like it's a really good counter to Rogue and can beat Taunt Warrior if they are dumb and play on curve instead of gathering a lot of armor. It also beats slower Shaman since they no longer have the heals and such.

Priest is probably the worst matchup and Paladins run Hydrologist nowadays so if they get you to one and then Eye for an Eye it's tough to deal with them.

Not played in a long outside like 3-4 arena runs (streets release). Threw together a Hunter deck and won 17 out of 23 matches (granted starting at rank 25). Feels kinda cheap though

Too many moving parts needed for that deck to work. Believe me, I tried. You're better off playing Tempo Mage.

VI, I love seeing mages when I play Warrior. I'll outright poke their Acolyte and them all draw a billion cards. By the time they catch on I've already won.

Getting a mage to 1 when their deck is empty is the best kind of win. Fuck right off, Ice Block.

I think this is most people who have hit rank 5 in a long time.

It's hilarious watching people wonder how to deal with Vicious Fledgling. Not sure if it's worth the deck space on merit but it definitely is for lulz. Just coined one out turn 2 and the guy either had no answer or left it unchecked until I won at end of Turn 6 when the first adapt I got (off a card, not face) was Windfury and I hot face every attack after that

I imagine that card is horribly imbalanced in Arena

Quest Rogue is just a tough deck to play that relies a lot on nut draws and techs depending on the meta. Not bad, but probably just Tier 2.

Miracle Rogue seems like the much better deck just from what I've seen.

they really added like two new common cards which singlehandedly allow the beast deck to finally exist and actually be good. it's pretty amazing. I honestly have like no real complaints about this expansion, save some nitpicks. this was a really good job on the dev teams part.
