People that order doordash/uber eats from places that do their own delivery, like a local pizza place.

My daughter works at one of the local pizza places, and they employ their own delivery people and do not charge extra for delivery, but for the added exposure, they also deliver through doordash and uber eats.

She says the amount of people that order through delivery services is staggering.

Are people THAT adverse to making a phone call that they're willing to pay upwards of an extra $20 just to order through an app instead?

Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure. I had actually seen him in an earlier movie I love called Youngblood but I didnt take note of him in it until after he was more well known. But when I was growing up Bill and Ted is what truly started off his career to me.

I wanted to like it, and I forced myself to play all the way through, but ultimately I think it ranges from flat to kind of silly, though I guess I do kind of appreciate what it was going for. I think a big part of it was that the interview mechanics never really clicked with me, and I kind of stumbled through those portions of the game, just randomly shouting at suspects.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the "average" person can reach peak physical performance in something like weightlifting if they stick to a strict, science base regimen.

Whereas, no matter how much research you do, so matter how many formulas and numbers you crunch, the "average" person either can or can't hit a baseball at an elite level.

I just think of myself. If I had the time and the means, I could turn myself into the physical peak of what someone my age could be. Good enough to rival anyone my age. Simply because the only thing holding me back is actually doing it.

But no level of training and scientific research will make me an MLB caliber baseball player, simply based on my physical limitations at 46 years old. So instead I'm just a pickup/beer league player.

NES games were routinely $35 to $45 in the late 1980's

$40 in 1989 is $101.42 in 2024.

So, when compared to inflation, $70-80 for a game is a decent value.

This just then becomes are circle argument, because the question then becomes "What amount is when it becomes 'too much money'?"

Is it a Billion? Is it 10 Million? Is it $100 Million?

Who said anything about not punishing someone? I think they should be punished but I also think punishments should be proportional to the damage done and in relation to the need of the person doing the crime.

Well, when your reaction to someone getting their watch stolen is "I would say that sucks for that person and then move on.", it doesn't sound like you want the person doing the crime to be punished. Sounds more like you're telling the victim to just get over it.

But what if it's isn't a watch? What if their car is broken into? Does the narrative then become "Don't want your car stolen? Sell it and take the bus!"

Eventually the people ACTUALLY DOING THE CRIME are the one that should be punished.

Ive got nearly 40,000 pictures on my phone among other things, and Im at 63gb used.

Old phone had like 35,000 pictures, several thousand songs, and was at like 100 gb.

Especially nowadays, where people usually stream music and don't use storage on MP3s, you can get tens of thousands of pictures on your phone with 128gb

My phone has 128 GB of storage.

I am currently using 70.7 GB of it.

I'm also a 46 year old that doesn't live on their phone.

Lots of misdirected anger here. If you want to be mad at how slow bureaucracy is, or the state of houselessness, fine. But being mad at a person who is just trying to survive till tomorrow is pointless. You might not like the laws and they can suck for people, but it prevents a much greater injustice

For what its supposed to be, and for when it came out, JP1 is a near perfect movie.
