Get rid of the penny, and while you're at it take a serious look at the nickel. These coins are so out of date it's ridiculous. We should just start rounding to the first decimal place instead of the second from now on.

And let's also take a look at the dollar bill. Paper money has an extremely short lifespan compared to coins. 5 dollar bills and up are fine, but there's a reason Canada uses 1 and 2 dollar coins. I'd like it if we had 2 dollar coins. I really like the toonie. The only major downside of having a lot of coins is that they weigh more than bills, but this isn't a huge deal since I don't carry a lot of cash these days anyway.

Is it blasphemy to get rid of the iconic 1 dollar bill with Washington's face on it? Holy crap I don't care, there's more important things to be worrying about. Put his face on the 50, who gives a s*** about Grant anyway?

Well, I might appreciate Other M now in the same way I appreciate Darkseed II, but that doesn't mean I don't think both games are steaming piles of crap.

My favorite part of the Retsupurae of Other M was the part where Slowbeef is like "spoilers" then starts talking in Ridley's voice at the part with furby Ridley, and Diabetus is just like "I think I get what you're inferring but I have no idea how it's possible."

I just had a strange thought. What if every universe in Homestuck has a different "author"?

Aranea hints at the fact that Doc Scratch is the one who created Alternia, from a creative standpoint. As if he "wrote" it. And this makes sense - Doc Scratch took over Hussie's role for some time, and coexisted in the same place as him for some time.

So what if Hussie is just like, the author of the original kids' universe (B1)? What if someone else "wrote" B2?

In any other story, this would be a completely insane rambling, but here this is almost starting to make sense to me.

Yeah I was gonna say, it really reminded me of the Watchmen cartoon - that one was even funnier just because Watchmen actually gets misinterpreted as a typical superhero thing a lot.

"Predictable story" is not a reasonable criticism of an episode given that the only one I can think of that was genuinely unpredictable was Party of One.

It'd be even more meta if he killed himself off in real life at the same time too. But then he'd have to still find a way to update Homestuck, because it would really suck if Homestuck ended abruptly on one of Hussie's stupid self-insert segments.

Hussie is unpredictable enough that when he's doing something on April 1st I can't really tell if it's a joke or not, because he could just as well do the exact same thing any other day of the year. You just don't know with that guy.

I would like it if he killed himself off because I think he's the worst character in Homestuck.

I was actually fooled by this, not in that I thought Nintendo was actually releasing this game but in that Nintendo actually made this joke.

I'm not sure exactly how well received by professional reviewers it was or how it sold but the game is supposed to at least okay which is way better than anyone ever though it would be.

This clip is actually really hilarious if you look at it from the point of view of him wanting to use the word "nig-gard." In that case, it would've been a correct word to use it in that sentence, and he'd be just about to say it but then in his head going "OH S*** OH S*** THAT SOUNDS LIKE THE N-WORD I CAN'T SAY THAT FHDSHGDSHFDF" and just sort of winds up spazzing out like we see in the video. That explanation actually makes a little bit of sense.

I'm trying to figure out, if he actually was intending to say something else, what it was he was trying to say. I can't think of anything. To be fair, "anti-war government n*****" doesn't make any sense either, but his mouth was sure heading in that direction.

Metroid Prime is a great answer. I don't think people were really like "wow, this is going to SUCK", but there was a lot of skepticism about whether or not the game could work, and it wound up being one of the greatest games of all time.

Yeah, my feeling here is not that they don't have a right to punish him for this (only given that it is in fact a school-issued computer), but that their punishment is absurdly out of line.

Of course, I find the completely superficial concept of beauty touted by these pageants demeaning to both women and men and it just kind of grosses me out in general, but seriously, if she looks pretty, and she does, I just don't get why anything else matters. That's what they're being judged on. Their looks. If she were an ugly transgendered woman, would she not get in? Yep. If she were an ugly natural-born woman, would she not get in? Yep. I have no issue with that, except that judging people based on looks is both stupid and creepy. I just find it bizarre as hell that they're turning down a transgendered woman who does look pretty, when they don't give a s*** about natural-born women who have had work done on their body. It's a completely different kind of superficiality that doesn't even make sense to me.

It's irrelevant anyway. If Link were black, he wouldn't be allowed to wield the master sword.

I'd say how the person is identified by other people is also a very real part of gender.

Otherwise, if sex were more important than gender, you would think that they wouldn't have been completely fooled by the fact that she appears to be a woman in every respect. Which makes sense, because she's a woman. I don't really get why it matters how she got there.

My argument, though, is that gender is actually what's important, whether they know it or not. We aren't judging them by their lady parts. If we were, then sex would be important. We're judging them on everything else but that, which is really gender's domain, not sex.

Jeez, that's not what I said. Actively fighting it is a good idea and if this is the best way to bring publicity to this issue, good for her. It is still the proper response for them to bar her from competition - I can't hold that against them. The only thing I can hold against them is that they made the rule in the first place, and that they didn't do a background check on her to stop her from competing in the first place.

Well, in the real world, sometimes rules exist, and sometimes they aren't fair to everyone involved, but the people setting the rules are well within their rights to not accept people not playing by the rules they set up. I'm not sure what else you want to hear, exactly. As dumb as I think the rule is, they did make it a rule.

I mean, if it's a rule, then yeah she should be DQ'ed, unfortunately. That's not really an interesting topic to talk about. It's much more interesting to talk about whether or not it should be a rule at all.

I don't really think Fluttershy is a one-note character at all, and this wasn't really an episode about overcoming her shyness or anything like that. It was more about fear of judgment, which is an issue everyone except maybe Applejack and Pinkie have gone through at some point. That particular issue was just filtered through Fluttershy's character this time.

I thought this episode was cute, and I normally don't like episodes that are merely "cute" and not just really funny but this one really worked for me. I don't know why. I was just really sold on the episode's premise.

Okay so, I think the issue I have here with the whole "can't enter both a trans pageant and a female pageant" is that transgendered people aren't some kind of weird, separate third gender that isn't male or female. If she's female, she's female. If she's a transgender female, that puts her in a specific subset of females, but not in a different class altogether. That's my view on it, anyway. Just because she entered a pageant for transgendered females only doesn't mean she shouldn't be able to enter one for all females period because transgendered is just a narrower subset, not an entirely different thing.

If you think it's an entirely different thing, well... I dunno. I disagree. Hell, I would've been fooled by her based on those pics anyway, so who cares. Don't see what the big deal is.

I'm not surprised she isn't happy about there having to be a transgendered pageant, too. I'd imagine that ideally, to her, something like that wouldn't need to exist.
