I don't know why everyone dislikes UU. I think UU is great. I imagine as she gets more screentime she'll jump up in the troll rankings significantly, but I already like her more than Feferi, Sollux, Eridan, and maybe even Vriska. UU's conversations tend to be pretty enlightening and I like her gimmick of being, like, the "Homestuck fanbase" troll where she draws ridiculous fanart of all the characters.

Super Smash Bros: Melee

Not a launch title, it came out about a month later. It's almost a launch title because it was out in time for the holidays, but technically it isn't.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

Rarity is just the most consistently funny as well as the most flawed character. She's even more neurotic than Twilight, and neuroticism is the most funny quality they play off of in this show. Her VA also really sells her character perfectly. That's pretty much all there is to it. Rarity is hilarious and anyone who disagrees doesn't see eye to eye with me on humor.

Fluttershy and Twilight just tend to be pretty hilarious as well and are virtually tied at 2 and 3 for me. Rainbow Dash has her moments. Applejack is boring and remains boring, although when they try to make her not boring sometimes they succeed. Pinkie Pie's gimmick actually started to grate on me horribly this season, and I've grown tired of her. She was perfect in Party of One but she's become completely one-note ever since and that one note is irritatingly screechy.

Of course, everyone has their own opinions, but I've found that mine have pretty much crystallized this season and I'm a bit surprised not many people share my feelings.

The part I find odd about the article is the idea that the 3DS's launch only appealed to the hardcore. I'm pretty sure the 3DS's problem was that it didn't appeal to anyone. It took an entire year for them to release a truly stellar title for the console that was not a port.

I'm neutral. On one hand, the DH rule provides more flexibility in the lineup and prevents the 9th bat in the order from necessarily being a giant black hole (never mind the fact that the Mariners regularly play about 3 or 4 people who are worse batters than most pitchers). I don't really think it adds to the "strategy" that you know the 9th hitter is going to suck every time and that you can just pinch hit for him in between pitching changes. On the other hand, it's more symmetrical to just have the same nine people bat and play defense, and sometimes it's really funny when a pitcher actually has a good game batting, and as an AL fan it's really interesting to see pitchers hit who I've never seen hit before. One time Felix Hernandez hit a grand slam in an interleague game. That was awesome.

There are so many things wrong with the way this study was conducted that it blows my mind, but surprise surprise people still don't understand how video games work.

While this is a good topic title, I kind of think "You're welcome" would've been really great as well, had we waited.

Honestly I was just trying to nominate really ridiculous characters because I didn't feel like nominating main characters. But every named character in SBaHJ was a must.

People really don't like Steam? I've never had a problem with Steam at all. Like, seriously never. Steam's been great for me.

The one thing that pissed me off was when Dead Rising 2 on Steam ALSO required me to log into Microsoft Live, but that was not a Steam problem.

Speaking as an amateur musician aspiring to be a professional musician, I think that artists should be compensated for their works, whether that be music or something else. However, I believe that the exchange of ideas and information should be a relatively free process, and draconian copyright laws only do damage to art and don't help anyone but the executives at the very top of the chain who I have less than zero respect for. Groups like the MPAA and RIAA are several orders of magnitude more loathsome than someone who downloads a few movies off of the internet. So I don't see pirating as good or bad. There's more than one way to view this ethically. People pirating stuff has plenty of positive and negative effects.

But nobody likes to pursue reasonable conversation on this topic, everyone either wants to fall into the "I'm entitled to never pay for anything" crowd or the crowd that believes the first crowd should be thrown in jail for even daring to download a song and both groups can f*** right off.

AAI2 is not getting a release outside of Japan, period. That would require some display of good will on Capcom's part. It won't happen. I've already accepted this long ago and I'm at peace with it now.

Finished S2 so I can post here. I'm not sure how I feel about the recent episodes. It seems that the MLP creators have completely abandoned writing the show for girls and are now completely targeting the college male audience. It seems like it has lost some of the magic it had because of that. Episodes were still good, they just didn't have the same *this is awesome even though it was written for small girls* feeling to them.

Really? The S2 finale reminded me more that I was watching a show for little girls more than any episode since the pilot.

The Bucs got screwed. They thought they were being smart trading back because they knew the Rams wouldn't take Claiborne. Then the Cowboys trade up and take Caliborne out from under them, they panic and take a safety that can't cover. Mark Barron is basically the next Bernard Pollard, he hits hard but is useless in coverage. Then they hope that Doug Martin falls, and when he doesn't they trade up to reach for whoever that third running back was.

What? They traded up to take Doug Martin as the 2nd RB. It was the Giants that got "whoever the third running back was" (David Wilson).

Man, nowadays it sucks way more to be the second-to-last pick in the NFL draft. That guy is really the most irrelevant.

I have about 600 DLC songs, but that's still pretty far away from 1000, and I've given up on buying a bunch of songs for RB now. I only do it on rare occasions that something really good comes out nowadays.

Oh wow, there's a goal that requires you to play 1000 DLC songs. Didn't see that one. That's... expensive.

This honestly doesn't strike me as an amazing accomplishment. Getting good at pro guitar is probably the hardest thing, but everything else can be done. I can 5 star everything on guitar/drums/vocals/normal keys no real issue and I'm close to doing so on pro keys, though I still have a few songs I can't beat and I haven't played RB3 in quite a while.

I like some really slightly spicy food, but nothing that normal people would consider spicy. I'm both a supertaster and have a mild allergy to spicy food, however, so there's really no hope for me ever being able to tolerate even mild heat. I like my food pretty goddamn bland, really.

This conversation got really amazing really fast.

I stopped using XBL a long time ago. There are two things I will accept:

1) Paid subscriptions, no ads.
2) Free, but with ads.

If XBL was free, I would not be thrilled but I know money has to be made somewhere. This is just greed, pure and simple, and people are too weak to stand up to it.

Paid subscriptions that still include heavy advertising will never earn my patronage. Ever.
