One Final Fantasy is enough, and 7 gets the top billing. Maybe 10 competes with it (iirc Japan actually votes more favorably for 10 than 7)Persona 5 is the most important JRPG of the past 25 years. Its Because the series really exploded with 5 compared to 3 and 4 in a way that no JRPG series has since Pokemon/FF7 thats the thing with not being attached to the PS2 in 2008. Final Fantasy VII Dragon Quest III Persona 5 Chrono Trigger FFVII defined the genre in the west. DQIII defined the genre in Japan. Persona 5 is the most acclaimed JRPG for a quarter century and it feels right to have a modern representative.
