That's how aggressive cancer goes. Unless you're specifically screening for it (and there are dozens of cancers for which you can specifically screen, so a comprehensive panel isn't really practical to do regularly), you can absolutely go from not noticing anything to being symptomatic or even in immediate danger within the span of a couple weeks, let alone several months.

You don't really have to be a fan of Trump to point out that the Left would absolutely be celebrating if the roles were reversed. There are people on the Left who regularly advocate for someone to assassinate Trump, and other people on the Left who will actively cheer them on or defend them. If Trump came out tomorrow and said he had cancer there'd be people throwing parties. There's really no moral high ground here.

I guess saying all that, I can't really be that upset with people dragging Biden through the mud over this. Though hearing for the 800th time "You mean to tell me they didn't catch this earlier?" is getting draining, because it hardly matters. Biden with dementia and possible cancer being there still ran a better administration than what we are seeing now.

Let me back up a second. I did say in that post "it hardly matters" which isn't exactly true. The president having dementia IS important. It would have been nice to know that a while ago so the Democratic side could prepare accordingly. But after the fact, looking over his term as president, it is what it is. It doesn't matter too much now. We can evaluate his term, knowing he had dementia for some or most of it, and for the most part I liked what I saw, though it was far from perfect.

But yeah, at the end of the day, he ran, in my opinion, a better administration than what we see today under Trump, dementia, cancer, whatever, and all. I feel like we'll have to agree to disagree, because after 5 pages of back and forth, that would probably be the end result anyways.

If there's one thing impressive about the current administration, it's how quickly they've speedrun themselves into an unabashed shitshow.
