I just beat Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 after 75 hours. Going right back in, starting NG+. This game is truly a masterpiece. 10/10 for pretty much the entirety of my experience. My GotY 2025 and I'd put money on it being multiple gaming media outlet's game of the year as well. Everything about it was amazing.
Music. Story. Gameplay, including combat. Design. All amazing.

What are you lot currently enjoying?

Halo Infinite

Division 2 has gotten the most time from me over the last week or so. They are running a special event leading up to the new DLC at the end of the month. I was playing Atomfall prior to that, but the design of the final area annoyed me and I put it down and have not gone back to finish it so far.

Super Mario World and Castlevania IV

Civilization VI

dragon quest 3 and oblivion

I'm doing a murder-Durge run in Baldur's Gate 3.

Oblivion remastered & Civ 6

Expedition 33

Still playing and loving the shit out of Oblivion Remastered. Despite its numerous flaws.

Rotating between Borderlands and Deus Ex:HR on my PS3 and the X-Men Legends games on my PS2.

FF7 Rebirth

FFXIV mostly. And on the side alternating Hyrule Warriors DE and Zone of the Enders the Fist of Mars. I will probably pick up Expedition 33.

Plague Tale: Innocence may be my next PC game, since I've had it queued up as the next randomly-selected game in my backlog clearing efforts for quite a while but shelved it because Factorio Space Age and Xenoblade X DE came out and were higher priorities than backlog clearing. We'll see if I feel like it when the time comes, otherwise The Bard's Tale (2004) has also been queued up for a similar length of time.

Are the flaws ones that were present in Oblivion originally, or are they new flaws introduced in the remaster?

Not playing anything currently. I do play some Smash Ultimate on my Switch, or some picross touch on my pc, but nothing I'm actively playing. Finished Xenoblade X a few days ago, so trying to pick a new game. Did install Disco Elysium, but haven't delved into it and I've got a couple Switch games coming in the mail.

I've been on Fallout 4 since late last year. Past 70 hours but for all I know there is a lot left to do, particularly since I'm not even on the main plot quest right now.

That describes pretty much every playthrough I have done on Fallout 4. I have restarted that game so many times and never finished it once.

From what I can tell it's kind of a mixed bag, but mostly older ones. You know, typical Bethesda bugginess. The long you play the worse it handles from what I've heard.

I'm enjoying it. The levels are much larger than I expected and I like the melee combat a lot. Punching the fuck out of Nazis feels great. I honestly never use the pistol because beating Nazis to a pulp is way too satisfying. The puzzles aren't all that challenging, but I enjoy exploring the tombs and secret areas. I'm playing on default difficulties and it is fairly easy. The voice actor that plays Indy is phenomenal. Sounds a lot like Harrison Ford. The voice acting all around is strong. I haven't finished it yet but I'm feeling a strong 7/10 for this game, maybe a low 8.

I'll definitely be picking it up then. I'm a massive Indy fan and I've been waiting for a good Indy game for a while now.

I'm settling on closing the book on it once I've unlocked everything, with the self-imposed limitation of beating D3 or higher with each character (aside from ones I used early on that I don't necessarily feel like going back to). It'll still probably be one to come back to periodically, because that's just how these games are, but for now I'll probably move on to a different low-investment game once I get a win with Technomage, rather than trying to push for D5 on everyone.

I have clears on both maps with all of the characters, so there are a few I probably won't bother trying D5 with since I just don't find them enjoyable to play. I can't see myself trying Arms Dealer on D5 for example.

I've been playing through Mass Effect again (the original version). I'm probably one of the few people who loved the Mako. That was a lot more fun than the stupid probe launching crap in ME2.

They should've kept the Mako and improved the overworld vehicle sections. The first two Mass Effects are gaming staples, imo, though ME2 tends to get the most credit do to having the best characters and story. I mean, pretty much the whole game is character side missions, after all.

The driving sections were buggy as hell when I played it, I had problems finishing them more often than not because I'd hit some terrain and slingshot into the sky like a troll from Skyrim slapped me.

Overall I am not a fan of the new map. It has fewer enemies, which means less money in the shops, so the overall shop economy suffers. There are some fun new characters with the DLC.

Elden ring still. I'm like 140 hours into it after three months I think. Im like level 135?

I have to go back and finish final fantasy twelve after. I started that and I intend to finish but man it's a slog. I only have the endgame left though

It looks like the update that came out alongside the DLC added Baby, Vagabond, Technomage, and Vampire, and the update that came alongside the full release in June 2023 added Apprentice, Cryptid, Fisherman, Golem, King, and Renegade. There are 14 characters added by the DLC that aren't in the base game.

That's unfortunate. I'm sure it balances out overall, but such a huge part of what makes games like this fun is being able to become laughably overpowered if you play your cards right, and that really hinges on having a strong economy in this case.

It definitely changes the power levels of some characters.

Since you are on PC have you seen the GMO mod? it lets you play with multiple classes at once, including multiple copies of the same character. It can be incredibly broken or horribly cursed.

I haven't messed around with mods at all, but I would imagine that could get pretty ridiculous.
