I'm really not that mad at the results.

Good game to FD and Sultan. Wish I could have pursued Sultan better. Not sure if I needed to be less antagonistic to Chris to get him to work with me, or more antagonistic to get town to convince him sheltering Sultan was a bad idea.

Isquen I genuinely don't know how or why you were so antagonistic to me this entire game. I legitimately never had you in my crosshairs, was never pressuring you, and was actually disappointed when Chris suggested you as a lynch because it wasn't the way I saw the game. Every time you came into the game, it was angry and blaming everyone else.

Peaf, I love you, never change. The end of day 1 made me laugh so much, I felt so bad for you.

I am not nearly as angry as I appeared. Yes, I had awful reads, but I had to do SOMETHING when it was evident there was no town power remaining. I wish my FD grilling had been a bit more convincing, and I wish I had broken up as intended at 9 PM, but got Fandom-on-mobile lagged. Such is life.

It is when you effectively tie town's hands behind its back. I don't only blame you for this. I think town vetoing scum lynches is worse. But there was genuinely no way to really lynch Sultan on 7 there unless we did a Triple Kill. Which maybe I should have been more amenable to. I'll take a share of the blame on that for not really thinking through the scenario more there.

I think there is realistically a logical reason not to blow up 3 people in 5v2 on 7, but I'll have to go over that when I'm not on mobile.

I went over it in DTC

This day you're basically gambling on

1. It's Ulti + someone
2. It's exactly Isquen + Sultan
3. It's exactly JC + Dumey
4. Its exactly FD + Mzero

Ulti bombing into Dumey + FD or JC + Mzero or someone bombing into Ulti + Isquen solves much better

You basically do not want a situation where scum can pair in final 5. A guaranteed day will pretty much always be better.

With 3/7 shots you're pretty likely to hit scum.

Like there are very narrow situations where triple kill at 7 isn't best but like why would you ever assume scum had any pressure to pair with 7 left given how that day went. Basically everyone was throwing out two date requests and not many people were threatened with isolation because of martyr meta

Anyway what I learned with this game is I'm never letting myself die again-- despite all the talk of how I throw games late it's obvious when I'm dead late game towns have leadership issues and just kinda mull about so may as well just try.

I was surprised when my scummate made himself vulnerable at the end of day for no reason. But once I thought it was clear Kirby wasn't going to date him I made the choice to mix it up with Kirby

Part of it was my propensity for tunneling, part because I get reads off reactions, and part of it was because you hit a major red flag day 1 by mentioning Taylor Swift when I read my flavor and I'm like "holy crap she has to be scum." And I was right! Just had the wrong person.

I'm a little disappointed that I nailed Sultan early but he got bailed out by town playing hero even though most of the game agreed he was scummy

Game was fun though and FD
played really well. Sniping Peaf's Kirby date was gutsy

So yeah sorry for leaning that hard into it. I was getting somewhere yesterday but too little too late.

I didn't think people could solve better I just knew Ulti was town at that point and wanted to not have a risk of me and Ulti being two free lynches because Ulti was ruthlessly tunneling at that point

It didn't feel like a bus really. It felt like Peaf threw himself off a bridge and I hurt just decided not to throw myself after him.

I think there's a chance FD dies as the lone scum just as a policy lynch. He's an obvious night kill at some point because there are stronger Mislynch candidates. IMO. Game was still winnable if we had just caught Sultan at some point during those last couple of nights.

I had fun with it. You totally called what happened and... no one cared! Town tried to find reason in it and wasted so much time, i still can't believe it.

You were 100% right that i didn't have a plan, it just seemed like a fun thing to do. And it was!

Anyway, Lopen. You've been wrong about "what town Peaf would do" last game and "what scum Peaf would do" this game. You were right about my alignment this game, but everything after that was just... not great. Please stop pretending that you know me. Thank you.

Thanks for hosting, Chang! I think you've pioneered an entirely new genre that will persist for a long time. I was impressed with how the backend worked and I liked the flavour. Even though town got a most violent spanking and needs a lot of after care, it was really nice to see people having so much fun. GG WP to scum, you inspired a truly awe inspiring amount of own goals.

It took me getting lynched by Isquen to realize my paranoia about FD wasn't unfounded. My reaction upon seeing Isquen dating Ulti was, "Wait, duh, Isquen thinks I'm scum. Why did I think he'd date me? ... Why didn't anyone else see this coming? Wait, why didn't FD account for this? Why was he just okay with me trying to date Isquen instead of pointing out he'd never date me? WAIT A SECOND"

It's like I saw my life flash before my eyes, and then all was revealed. But by that point, it was way, way too late lol

Major thanks to Chang for the twist on the game. I didn't actually get to participate in the neighbor chats (bc bad) but it's a very cool concept and game mod. I am definitely interested in a follow up game next year!

Also you can scream cfwr but I absolutely think you only did that because you were scum. There wasn't really a good reason to do it as town. Picking pointless fights you don't expect to go anywhere is great as scum though.

FWIW Ulti and I clocked into it being a three man vanilla arena immediately after that but town having no way to direct a lynch attempt kinda made it impossible.

I was right scum was involved in the final 7 though so Im not sure what it matters. Even if you just decided to kill yourself all the following information was relevant. Why didn't scum press looking into that if it was all town? It's because *shock* it wasn't all town.

If Lopen added "I think" to any sentence he ever makes works would he bother people less? It shound be obvious I feel but I'm not sure it is.

It's always "I think" in pretty much anything I say unless it's something factual but yeah people here are very literal and take my confidence in what Im saying to mean I'm actually confident in what I'm saying and not a game tactic.

But we're on a message board in 2024 the people who aren't hyper literal are probably by and large doing something else.

Also for the record if you didn't have so many people saying "oh no I'm 100% sure everyone at end of day was town" I am probably a lot less aggressive about searching it

Maybe they needed to put more "I thinks" in. If people actually humored that scum was in that pile and townread Kirby and Dumey I think we'd have had a pretty good angle to actually discover FD from.

It's always going to be easy to blame me for town doing badly because I'm actually trying to drive town. However play declined upon my death into a bunch of chickens running around headless so I would disagree it's me actually causing town to lose.

I think you could have reached accurate conclusions of the game state much sooner if you just... took Dumey's idea that praf jumped off a cliff for no good reason, instead of immediately hand waving it away.

i gave town the blueprint to win the last two days but no one listened fully.

I'm happy that I correctly read Peaf's end of day motivation. And TECHNICALLY my "date him and see if he loses trust in me" played out, though not quite how I thought it would. :thinking:

I also think I did a good job of reading and defending Ulti earlier in the game, attributing his actions as having fun with the format more than scummy intent. Too bad I couldn't keep that perspective at the very end, there was just too much that I couldn't make excuses for.

I just don't really think it did a lot of harm-- and there WERE scum in it so Dumey just assuming everyone was town was just as harmful.

Like I'm not saying I was right you didn't suicide. Obviously I was wrong.

I'm saying assuming you just did doesn't actually help us solve the game either. That's all. There was a lot more to me looking into it than thinking "I knew you" but I feel like you weren't following the game well being dead so they were lost on you

This isn't any cfwr whatsoever, man. I'm not salty about that. Obviously I was playing very poorly and not analyzing the situations properly - look at how d1 ended!

Great job scum, FD in particular - sad we didnt get Sultan
