Yes but it's insurance against town not having the exact 1 scum If you shotgun you're more likely to just hit scum by accident with the two bodies that weren't the #1 scum read and then they either have to die or squirm I think the gain is VASTLY superior to the marginal pressure generated from suggesting two scum pair up Like I can't imagine that scum are ever scared enough by that to expose themselves. They'll subtly defeat the idea as they did this game (its easy as they have 5x the town pairs as scum pair options) or just pair up and try to win in final 5 anyway Your way works better if town knows who 1 scum is with very high probability. I planted the seed in my night chat with dumey and then I not-obviously used reverse psychology to set him up to want me to pair with MZero. My pairing with MZero was entirely scum led. If 1-2 town pushed me and Sultan together it would have been much more difficult and potentially obvious. your marketing bomb on 7 as always-better and there's just no way it can be. Especially if the pair being blown up has a chance of being scum/scum, you lose nothing by only lynching 1. But by doing a bomb you gain a read on 1 extra person by telling them to be the detonator. Inconsistency causes lynches even if town does it too. I mean half the reason I was so tunneled on Kirby day 3 was he was saying a bunch of weird stuff that was easy to pick apart. Now that was admittedly a lot my fault I was probably tilting him so I mean I'm not saying it's something to rag on Kirby for but I do think Kirby was in a position for me to ignore him at the start of the day. I'm not saying write a novel, just brief stuff you can look back at later in the game so your feelings are collected and consistent. Like changing your viewpoint or playstyle is fine but if no one can figure out any bit of how the viewpoint changed it comes off as scum motivated. I do it sometimes actually. I would probably be better at the game if I did it more-- a lot of times I'm kicking myself like "hey you had a great idea here why did you let it go" --- No problem!
