I was sick but I am (mostly) back baby. Shuffled the schedule a little

Rules: If you list more than 4 things I'm gonna just pick the first 4 you say when I do the tally. If you list the same character multiple times I'm going to count it as 1 vote. Be nice to others and their potentially bad opinions. Don't shove your personal definition of "Mount Rushmore" down others' throats. Don't take this topic series too seriously. If you're going to change a vote please quote your old vote to make it easier for me.

Spider-Man-rogues-specific rules: The villains being voted for need to be primarily Spider-Man villains or closely associated with him. Kingpin counts as a Spider-Man AND Daredevil villain so he can be voted for. Someone like Juggernaut would not count here despite Spider-Man crossing paths with him sometimes. Use your best judgment. The villain needs to be an actual character, you cannot nominate things like "rent." You can nominate specific versions (like "Spider-Man 1 movie Green Goblin" or "Ultimate Green Goblin") but I might end up consolidating when I tally. Not sure yet.

I think this is a good mix and 3 out of the four are locks. Mysterio can kinda be any of the lower level guys like Shocker or Rhino or Vulture but I like him the most by far so gotta rep my boy.

Kingpin is too much of Daredevil's main. Nobody cared about Vulture till he showed up in the movie and still I don't feel it's enough. Kraven is kind of a big deal when he shows up and has one of Spidey's topmost stories.

Yeah, this is one where there's two big names, a third that fits if you still consider him a rogue, then personal preference determines the fourth.

  • Doctor Octopus. First to unmask Peter, stole his life, villain lead of three generations of the best Spider-man games (Neversoft PS1, Spider-man 2 PS2, Insomniac).
  • Norman Osborne (Green Goblin). The only thing I have to say is the face would be half Osborne, half Goblin.
  • Venom. The symbiote has branched out and I can see people thinking that we've got a Harley Quinn situation, but I still think of them first as Eddie Brock's villain phase.
  • Mysterio. Big influence on MCU Spidey, main antagonist in a lot of the video games, he'll do.
HMs: Jameson gets in if it's antagonists instead of rogues; Shocker.

Yes Venom specifically being Eddie Brock is really, really important. Kingpin is my pick for the last guy because even though he isn't mostly a Spider-Man villain in the comics anymore (and hasn't been for a very long time actually I think), he's still a prominent rogue in lots of adaptations and I think he still exists pretty highly in the public as a Spider-Man villain.

Other guys worth mentioning: Mysterio, Sandman, Electro, Vulture, Kraven
