i appreciate that you both responded with backhanded comments at the other.

so here is my attempt to follow what has happened

crescent is power who only got one trait, her action. crescent struggled to appreciate multiple traits because:

fd has multiple traits, at least one of which is useless or vanilla-suggestive, the other is not (I dont see why he gets so hung up on this if this isnt the case) so he didnt appreciate that he was getting annoyed with crescent because she didnt have the same information as he did to figure out how traits work

Only skimmed the topic but

TRAITS: Every player has received one to three "Traits" in lieu of roles. Some Traits may just be for flavor, some may have passive abilities attached to them, and some have activated abilities attached to them. If your Trait does not mention "take an action" then it is not an active ability.

The OP already suggested as much.
Now whether FD has 1 or 2 or 3 abilities I dont think he needs to answer.

That FD has made a strong good impression so far.
I also find it less likely that scumhim would make such a big deal out of the trait discussion.

I just dont think he dies on this hill if hes coming from the same perspective as Crescent (ie if he had only one trait hed get what she meant)

but honestly I dont want FD to comment because any response at all has the potential to suggest something to scum with respect to his role/traits, just my observation

I think Crescent is less likely to have that misunderstanding if she is on a team where, presumably, at least one member has more than one trait.

Alternatively, her being this frustrated about renamed roles / passives would make more sense if she felt she had to spend more of her time than she wanted to in order to understand what tools her team has.

But she could have not outed herself as power if she just granted the host an ounce of creative credit.

So you're neutral about her is what I read there?

Myself I feel the first theory is likelier, if only because I feel scumher would reserve such frustrations for the scumboard.

I could have sworn Sbell did post more, but looking back he was focused on me mostly because I was focused on him.
Then he left when I went to sleep as well.

Death and Peaf I dont recall if you played Hans all day vig game but crescent complained more than once about that game both in-game and on the scum board, as scum. This means nothing. If youre town I understand wanting to pull some meaning from things where we can but there is zero reason to take any meaning from Crescents trait frustration or misunderstanding, be it real or not.

The only thing I've learned from the night's posting was an annoyance for Crescent's confidence in calling traits bullshit and insulting the host, when she clearly did not have enough information to base those statements off of.

Like if you're self admittedly ignorant to how multiple traits would even look like or work, why would you be so confidently aggressive about your ignorance? Obviously I'm looking at this from my own perspective and my early interactions with Crescent, but it should be fairly apparent that I had some questions about how traits function and was poking around, and she has absolutely no concept of what it might be like to have two traits that could have some use, so makes crazy assumptions that I must be role fishing?

Let me be clear. I have at least two traits. One of my traits clearly states it's purpose in game, my "role" as Crescent would like to simplify it to. The other COULD just be flavor, or it could have an impact on the game, but doesn't tell me explicitly. This is part of why I asked if Red was actually just an XY Miller, or something like a Misunderstood YZ. To see if he had a non-explicit trait that he was inferring how he scans based off of it. Again, it is very possible that he could be something like Misunderstood Vanilla so I didn't think him answering that directly was that harmful of a question, and not the severe role fishing that Crescent believes it to be. Her incapacity of understanding anything from a perspective not her own is super frustrating here.

Also FD you gave me a lot of credit I didn't deserve in trying to trap Red with committing himself to a claim early without knowing what type of claims town might have. I agree that would have been a great byproduct if he were scum, but it wasn't really the intention on my prodding. But good idea nonetheless.

That is possible for both of them, yes. Just being a bit annoyed because of how i was attacked for saying neither of them were confirmed :)

Also FD, from your post of catchup, I did find it interesting that you had such a lack of impression from Ashethan? Like yes he was pretty much only posting that first night, but he did make some actual posts coming up with original arguments. So the fact that you glossed over those entirely and only looked at his page 1 posts made me raise an eyebrow. You may go back to those posts and just say "meh" still, but just reading your notes it seemed weird to me that you missed them, since it was pretty much the only notable thing about Ashethan so far.

I was but in this case i agree with her that not much can be extrapolated from that game.
You're right though, Crescent being outwardly irritated by something isn't necessarily an alignment tell.

But I appreciate the reminder, even if it makes my read on more neutral again.

IGCD as town did not post a lot last game, his activity fluctuated between normal and below normal. I thought he was scum at one point because it felt like he was coasting. At one point he mostly liked to focus on the whole coalition thing he started. Of course he was town who doubled down lying about a guilty scan on me then got himself modkilled. So IGCDs current activity level is consistent with last game, and it doesnt mean anything.

The coalition was at least something
Fun yes, but I believe he was also gauging for reactions with that.

It was her original insult of the host which led to my unvoting her in the first place. There was something about her annoyance by the system that didn't feel scum to me.

with that said, i've only read maybe 10 posts on this page and none of the rest of the topic since I posted like post 4. Gotta get working and its spooky night. i'll be around.

I will say this is a very odd take for her.

Like she is low key one of the best town I've ever played with. Her being lazy at reading this game and being confused her scum tell im not sure.

Solo Queue was the day one discussion and trait is to day 2 discussion. Almost no one here seems interested in actually playing the game and finding scum.

I think youre a good enough player not to actually believe thats protecting. Im starting to lean scum on you. As scum you have picked on me before because Im typically not good enough to shake off most votes, even ones with weak reasoning. But this just feels blatantly like youre setting something half-arsed up to justify voting me later for a bad reason.

I dont have an opinion on IGCD so far. documenting past behavior and comparing it to the current game is a service to town. If I see people being too quick to town pile or sus and it goes unaddressed, Im speaking up.

I was not around enough last game to know if your statement rings true but it does seem like an odd placed soft defense of IGCD. Scum mates do this kind of stuff and thats how they get caught. I am not familiar enough with your scum game to get caught up in being to worried about your buddies so if you are scum it is a bit not worthy

Sultan's an interesting case at this point. He actually is asking potentially solving questions, but I feel those questions have more teeth than his actual statements. It kind of feels like he's trying to push more people into calling each other scum, but he's not really pushing others as scum himself.

No I think FD had a right to It just seems like the angle she's pushing. Tbh calling her out for it is actually the opposite of what she is saying it seems like FD was trying to solve he slot her annoyance of it and saying "if anyone actually wants to play the game" seems a bit off
