I have no explanation for why town Ulti would do this essentially unprompted and completely fail to actually claim anything until pressed several times.

I see the scum angle of Ulti going full Ulti trying to confuse the game and set up the ability to claim almost anything later, but why would town Ulti do this? I don't see how his behavior in any way benefits town. It also kinda feels like Ulti is directly trying to appeal to my sense that the game is designed stupidly.

I agree with crescent though that it's pointless to make an assumption about what a specific trait does.

In the case of ulti all can I discern from flavor research is that there is an actual cat in the game that can be rescued by survivors. So he might be be Jones the cat? But there is also a Halloween update this year where some of the killers have cat-themed variants. Though in that case they don't appear to literally be cats?

So I'd assume Jones, but that cat doesn't really work with the survivors? It seems more like an optional objective to save the cat if you have the car carrier?

Either way it's hard to imagine the role PM is written so poorly as to be unable to be parsed. Or for it to lead someone to believe the have two powers that aren't specifically spelled out. Very hard to see it as anything other than a fake claim

Though that's actually a mark in favor of the trait existing. I guess scum would be given a list of actual traits?

My PM clearly states my flavor, and clearly states the name of my role.

I don't believe a host that spent so long in writing his game would completely blow a random role PM so much that a player would have absolutely no idea who they are or what they did.

See I am concerned since it sounds like Ulti doesnt know that traitnames are functional replacements for role names. But I dont know how he could make that mistake unless scum is fundamentally different from town.

Convenient that Ulti includes Peaf but excludes me in the "active at noon" crowd when I'm actively contributing. :(

(But I always put in effort as both alignments, so I don't really think it's a tell for me one way or the other.)

Small red flag in Ulti just accepting the flavor that FD threw out there, even though if we're to believe both him and Sultan, the there are two people with this cat like trait. Seemed quite opportunistic, but maybe FD did just get lucky on the research and Sultan is something different.

I am not litteral physical cat no.

The opportunity to accept the thrown out Flavor was a bit opportunistic but if scum it be quick to look at a Safelist it being on their and come back and be like yupp that's me is kinda alot?

It was the final straw for players never believing Lopen about anything ever again, even though it was outside of his control and he really tried to save town from itself multiple times over

He wouldn't get names, just a random number between 0 and 3. They tried to use it to prove himself and other powers at end game but since the number was random, nothing was solved and instead town wasted 2 or 3 days eating its own limbs iirc

Anyways, what I unvoted to ponder is if Ulti and Sultan are both scum here.

Then it's followed by Sultan calling Ulti town, then reading the tea leaves and suddenly showing an openness to vote for him. Ulti immediately responds by calling Sultan obvious scum.

I think there's a pretty good possibility Ulti/Sultan is theater.
