It was 100% about how she said it. "All men are predators" is sexist drivel that has no place in any civilized discourse, so it was moderated accordingly. Pretty much everyone in the topic said that men are more likely to be sexual predators in some capacity or other, but nobody was modded for doing so. Those that were modded took it a step further into overt sexism.

Every "hot take" moderation is pretty much always about how you say it.

It was pretty close, although I find adjl and Jen poking at one another very redundant. That's why I tried to be a little more empathetic, she did say 'I obviously don't mean all men', so she walks things back if you aren't entirely antagonistic. She said that, but she also said a lot of other very negative things. I still disagreed with her and mentioned that statistically kids will still end up getting abused by women too, even if the likelihood is lower than men. I also wish people could simply become better friends with great members of genders other than their own so they can foster trust, learn healthy communication, etc. Because we'll never get better men without giving them the tools to do so. and it's fine if it's not Jen's 'job' to do so.

also rofl, this topic might overcome IBC wanting to know if people still like her or not XD. but let's try not to do that. I just wanted to state my piece, I'll leave it there. I really understood both adjl's side and Jen's, lean toward's adjl's side, but think everyone should've...chilled a lil'.

It's been a crazy few months, I'm feel like I'm kinda struggling to keep all 3 relationships feel fresh and balanced. My (former) team lead (not my boss) and his wife are exploring an open relationship and he's going to therapy. The partner that actually followed me to gfaqs and shared his side and I are back living together, and are currently looking at a new place. The other partner is my girlfriend. She's often busy with work, but we hang out frequently and cook or cuddles while watching a show.

Everyone knows about everyone. I've met the wife a few times now. They all have varying degrees of getting alongness with each other, but we are all able to get together and play a game or go out to dinner.

There is a lot of drama around it sure, it's my drama though. Jen had strong feelings about it for sure, and that is fairly characteristic of her. I find myself appreciating and admiring her for standing up for what she believes in, and willingness to go against the grain. Sucks to be on the other side of it.

Not every topic needs to revolve around Jen though you know?

Also, Kimbo definitely has given creep vibes.
