Well I like the starting lineup but the bench is still atrocious. Hopefully Ayton can be traded for a collection of roleplayers to a young team that wants to rebuild or something

Ayton needs to traded, or he just needs to change his whole mentality. I've always given him the benefit of the doubt, but when he continually shows you who he is, you have to guess that's who he is. Ayton with a fire under him could be good. We saw that in 2021, and in the playoff run.

I'm cautiously optimistic as of right now, but definitely need to see what the rest of this roster is going to look like. My dream is getting Kuzma somehow, and apparently he is going to be opting out, but if he wanted to come to the Suns dude is going to have take a serious paycut which I don't think he will do.

if by serious paycut you mean the minimum, yeah. The suns are over the cap just in their big 4.

Ja broke his social media silence to refute this story. I would doubt its truthfulness because it makes very little sense, especially now that he's quickly said this is not true.

Tweets like those are pure yikes. I heard indirectly from someone who was perhaps once -upon-a-time someone who might have known something. People should just be shitting all over that.

Latest argument was they wanted to offer 6, 11, 36, future 1st, WCJ, Cole, Isaac for 3 + Nurkic. And somehow I'm the bad guy for saying that is such a ridiculous overpay. I asked them what is WCJ worth in isolation and they said probably a top 10 pick and they still don't understand how it's an overpay

I'd be happy if we got Scoot but I'm not anywhere near as high on him as they are. They already act like he's an all-NBA franchise guy and don't seem to understand the possibility that he may not work out and just end up being a solid starter or something

all 3 of those guys are probably worth at least a 1st so they're saying 6 1st round picks at minimum for moving up 3 spots, lol

Yeah, WCJ is worth a top 10 pick for sure. Like if we were offered 5 or 7 for him, I likely say no.

Cole is worth like a mid-late 1st.

Isaac's mileage will vary. Could be worth a 1st, could be worth nothing due to severe injury concerns. His contract has heavy contract protections though on non guaranteed money so very easy to get out from if he does get hurt (could stretch waive his entire deal for 1.65m a year for 5 years)

Like if you're offering that level of package just go get someone who is already an all star level player

Hes spent substantially more time being a conservative grifter with Candace Owens than being a basketball player over the past 3 years and you have basically no assurances that hell ever be able to put together a full healthy season ever again

Yeah, Isaac is probably worth more to the Magic than anyone else at this point. Unless he was needed for salary matching purposes in a trade.

I would have said Cole wasn't worth anything at all until the turn of the year. But then he went and averaged 14.2 on 48.8 FG% / 40.9% from 3 on mostly self created stuff for the second half of the season. And that player is a valuable NBA level player.

Well yeah, that's why I said extra picks. I know it's highly unrealistic for you to trade away Vassell.

Magic may end up trading away the 11 pick with how the front office has been speaking but it's hard to ever know what they are going to do.

Apparently the cost of the 11 pick from the Magic would be a veteran wing shooter (and presumably whatever other draft comp to even it out). That's what other front offices have told people anyway
