i don't think anyone in the nba can really stop him on offense, although the supporting cast should theoretically be weaker next year as bruce brown will likely leave for a larger contract.

best bet outside of injuries to the supporting cast is to have a team filled with lethal 3 point shooters and catch fire for a full series. short of that i don't think you're winning a 7 game series against the healthy nuggets

Boston matchups up well against Denver - Time Lord on Jokic for 20 minutes and Marcus Smart on switches, that's probably the best any team really has. It probably sounds laughable but I'd rather play Denver than Miami, if I'm Boston.

That said Jokic is obv ridiculously good and is going to start shooting up "best ever" lists. Right now I'd put him around Big Al Jefferson.

I'm with you here. Think we wouldn't been the better team, but we'd very obviously find a way to choke it away or underperform

The Magic always match up well with the Nuggets but could be because they don't prep for us as much as other teams. Always ends up being a rock fight

Jokic > KG > Dirk > Giannis

Only ones I've watched to really weigh in on, but what Jokic has done is likely not repeatable by anyone else in the league right now.

KG is a different type of player and I have him second for his mental and physicality, then Dirk because he's a scoring God. Giannis is the best athlete, but the low man when it comes to the game itself I think.

He's become the reluctant superstar

I can see Jokic being the type of guy who retires at 30 and then we never hear from him again

As a Twolves fan, I have to be biased towards KG (even if he didn't win his ring with us). He played his best basketball in Minnesota, and as just a complete player I still feel he's pretty underrated in the grand scheme of things. Big men today mostly have outside game, but KG was relatively special in his day with possessing a huge range of things he could do on offense. And like was said, I think he possessed such an unmatched determination and drive. I normally don't like trash talkers, but KG could always back up what he said.

But I dunno, Jokic is really special. I don't think there's every been anyone quite like him. A lot of people I've been talking to in person have scoffed at the idea of including him amongst the all time greats, but the man has 2 MVPs (and arguably should maybe have a third), and now he's won a ring, finals MVP and accomplished a ridiculous playoff feat that no one else ever has in history.

the funny thing is that just last year Jokic wasn't on the NBA 75 (that was actually 76) list and now there's no doubt he's at least top 50 at worst if not top 25
