honestly I was looking for a pretty simple answer, I just wanted to see if youd give it. not confident enough for you to be my top lynch rn.

I went over this with Han already. For me to be scum requires the N1 kill target to not be Crescent. That means Ulti is BP and was tested (which we all agree didnt happen), ctes is scum who shot death, or scum and ctes overlapped on Death (unlikely). Ctes being scum who shot death is the only plausible scenario there. So if Im scum, Ctes is scum.

So two questions:
1 - If Ctes and I are scum, does the game setup make sense to you?
2 - How do you specifically explain my N1 actions if Im scum otherwise?

Let me preface with what may be a stupid question - maybe this is coming from a lack of experience playing in this format but Im not clear on how did we definitely know crescent was both targeted and scanned. Did ulti get a message from host saying successful save, or something? To be clear Im not even being skeptical Im just trying to understand.

1 - by game setup do you mean the alignments and their respective powers making sense? I mean, yes, I dont think you and ctes both being scum is impossible, but Im not stubborn here and Im open to seeing the logic behind one or both of you being town.

2 - I will answer this under the assumption ulti got confirmation he successfully saved crescent based on how youre asking me this. No, its not very likely at all scum scans their nk target. Scanning to confirm in case doctor saves to make sure youre potentially using your unblockable on the target you want is a major stretch.

Fine, I'm playing a nightmare scenario in my head.

Ulti as redirector, Dumey scum or town neighborizer, wallmasterZ scum backup info of some sort, or passive Godfather/Ninja. Ulti gains knowledge of what his target is capable of while redirecting, tests on ctes, and inadvertently kills Death with it, who was otherwise looking bad. Night kill triggered into an as-yet-unrevealed actual BP, which puts the BP doc claim into Ulti's head.

Meanwhile, Dumey neighborizes Lea and chats her up.

Town has little active defensive power but has a Bulletproof and a Bomb floating around, which could trigger off the Vigilante. The Bomb picked up on someone's cues day 1 and gambled a claim (rightfully) that person took action, and the Bomb was scanned by a role cop. Vanilla takes all the blame for the rest of the game and I die as I was born, confused and screaming.

Three scum seems unlikely given doublevoter, but that's where my mind is going.

I think there is reason to hold some doubt for Ulti based on what JC has claimed, but it's not something actionable at this point in the game.

We'll be getting more info as nights go by. Things will be more clear later.

I DO think it's weird for Ulti to be on the POE and JC to be on the Townish list though. That part makes no sense to me.

I mean, at this point, I wouldn't entertain any lynch other than Isquen. Like I said, he's a sure shot.

How many votes are on Isquen? I don't want to -1 him just yet. But putting the uncountered doctor claim as "clear scum" is ludicrous.

apologies for asking you to cut up my food for me here, but what reason is there to doubt ulti? In a hypothetical world where theres no doctor in this game, how could he know to come right out and fake claim doctor? I am genuinely curious, not doubting you

There's a reason I think JC as Scum is more likely!

For Ulti to be Scum - he's a guy full of bluster. It's totally possible, since I thought Crescent was protection, that Ulti claimed Doc as a nod to Crescent that he would take the hit for her. And since she didn't counter, Ulti would take that as "ha I'm right".

Then, when they shot Crescent, the presumed "Doctor", she didn't flip it. But nobody else countered Ulti.

Thus, Ulti is put in the unique position of claiming a Doctor role that is not countered by ANYONE.
A Scum BD existing might have decided to send any possible scans of Ulti to BCT, instead of the other way around.

I'm not saying this is what I believe, but it is a way in which the situation works lol

More so to his over reaction to JC saying he tried to scan him. But I may have. Been over thinking it a bit. We are looking in a poe and he was on thst bubble pretty hard then that reaction im like so a scared Town BCT doesn't want to get cleared?!

But looking back I think BCT went from the top of my POE to the top.

Doctor knows of their action went through or not, they're not told if they actually saved anyone.

Hey, for what it's worth, I appreciate you taking the plunge. It wasn't a good slot to replace into.

If you're going to bounce, give your final reads wrapped in a nice bow. If you are Town, it gives something easy to latch onto and channel when you're gone.

I'm always okay with ending day early, but I wasn't going to put a vote down until around 4:30 when I have to go for the rest of the evening anyway.

To clarify, I'm not always okay with ending the day early, but I do think we should do it more often later in games.

I think Town fatigue is a way that Scum manages to pull out wins, and I've said most all of my peace for today.

- One of BCT, Dumey, Wall is assuredly scum. Likely two.
- I feel town is light on protection because there IS a bomb, which melds neatly with ctes's vig shot if true (since he could off himself.)
- This is why I still doubt Ulti's claim, plus just the flavor of "The Doctor."
- I feel neither you nor BCT is a vanilla just by flavor.
- I don't necessarily buy the claim of a redirect.

Point two: I THINK there's a bomb.

Isquen was caught lying by a flavor cop in SW&P and I seem to recall him making several fake claims that day including indy Palpatine. Don't think he rolled over.

He rolled over in Paper Mario.
