Final Fantasy XV though. Mercifully, it's far from the longest FF game, but it's still among the worst games I've ever beaten, and by far the worst that's over 10 hours long.

Assassin's Creed 1? Imagine trying to 100% it.

at t his point, I don't like Overwatch but I have literally put 1k hours into it

I have finished games I hated (Phantasy Star 2 being the biggest one)

Ulti hates hearthstone and has put tons of hours into it, dunno if he still plays but every so often he rages about the devs

I know this is just an inversion of the other topic, but I'm trying to think of how many games I would call truly terrible.

I put 100 hours into Octopath Traveler and I have no idea why

Not gonna go on my usual Banjo-Tooie rant that it makes more fatal collectathon mistakes than DK64, nope not this time

E: But really, I wouldn't call Banjo-Tooie an overall terrible game. It just makes terrible, baffling design decisions but still has moments of glory where its more akin to its predecessor

I'll say Hearthstone in that there was a time I kept playing it for months, hoping they would properly balance it, but it didn't happen until years later. Wild mode became unplayable with all the ridiculous combos. I've since switched to Battlegrounds mode which is fun, but even recently they've made collected gold useless in that mode. So many baffling decisions which we can assume is linked to profit maximization over enjoyable player experience. Not necessarily the devs fault, but probably pressure from higher-ups.

The only truly terrible game I've beaten and it felt way too long.

The Sims 4

Well, it's playable, more or less. But it's just such a downgrade from the previous entry.

There are some baffling choices in here... some of these don't have an endpoint, while others are decent games.

For me, it's Tales of Zestiria. I don't know why I spent 104 hours finishing it on a higher difficulty. I was truly suffering.

Tales of Symphonia 2 possibly? Its very bad at least.

Zestiria for me too.

My husband and I were talking about Zestria the other night. He was saying that he liked the game despite the "character switch" in the middle of the game. I never played it.

Star Ocean 4 is actually one of my favorite games. I still to this say sometimes start to say "kay" all the time like Lymle.

Most time spent Final Fantasy IX. I'm not sure why I actually beat all the optional bosses on FFIX of all games. I think it was just a product of the times. Didn't have a lot to do back around 2000.

Eternal Sonata remains the most "why did I waste time playing this" game of my life.

I could say a gacha or MMOs but I generally like playing them and think they're well-desigend even though they're predatory and like....morally terrible lol. Infinite playtime though.

FF9 is the most I've spent on a game that I didn't enjoy that much.

I guess Sonic 2006 has the blessing of being a rather short game and reaching meme status.

Because that would be my answer since I dont play long bad games as Ill find some enjoyment out of long games about halfway through.

I feel like I would give up on a game thats truly terrible. Like, I put 60+ hours into Xenoblade Chronicles but its not terrible just mostly boring.

I have finished both, and while you shouldnt waste your time with either, Sonic 06 is a better game.
