Pretty much lol. That's where the forbidden droplets/infinite imperms/kaijus come in, which is still like having to rely on drawing the hand traps in any normal deck. That's why we're waiting for the new spell to come out because it gives us a special summon at the cost of some LP which saves us just in case our normal summon gets fucked

Why did they make another rebellion dragon? The only position I see is that you can summon Z-ARC with it and a maybe indicator that they are gonna make odd eyes winged synchro dragon and Odd eyes venom fusion dragon as well and their materials will be 1 tuner and 1 or more pendulum monsters and 2 pendulum or if they're feeling restrictive, 2 DARK type pendulum monsters

Zombies are chilling in low gold atm. Bit the bullet on Chaos Ruler and added an Assault Mode package to get him out easier. Pretty fun, though may have to change my ratios to get more value out of the mills.

Haven't tested it yet, could easily eat my words. But a 2-monster pop with self-revive at least seems better than most everything else. >_>

Absolute's only really viable as a cheat for Vortex. Not all PendMage builds run Vortex and Odd-Eyes gets better value out of properly fusing it with Dissolver. Overlord is good but requires two extra deck slots to use his effect. Odd-Eyes Rebellion and Raging are meme cards that are fun to resolve but require way too much setup to be worth it.

Only downside I see to the new one is that it can't go into Overlord the same turn it's Xyz summoned.

Thanks to Problem Solving Card Text, a lot of the sentence structure in YGO is pretty consistent. Imo once you get used to it, long effects kinda come down to blocking majority of them out of the mind. Like even if there are new cards, people take long with their turns anyways. That's a lot of time to read.

Only time that backfires is if like there are effects on the first sentence that directly correlates with some restriction they have on the very bottom.

The effects are also ordered in the same way, first being summoning condition if any, then it's ignition or quick effect in the middle, any restrictions in the very bottom.

I think being threatened by the length is what scares ppl in the first place. The recent QOL changes were so fucking good, highlighting what effects are going off at the time. Often times I think the OTV guys clicked away too quickly or didn't realize that the only text that matters in x situation is the stuff highlighted.

But man the Red Eyes deck was so fucking bad. I'm shocked Charlie made it to finals, but he also knows the rules and PCST really well. All he lacks at all is just general card knowledge, which is hard to get without playing for a super long time

They purposely didn't adapt the bullet points because it turned 5 lines into 7-8 lines, which looks horrible in english.

They're going by some maximum 7 lines rules. Monsters have a lot of required text, so they are maximum 7 lines. Meanwhile spells/traps don't have required text like the monster type etc, so they can be 9 lines, so they use a lot more bullet points and are more readable

There are several solutions to this and they took the option of just not using bullet points I guess. I don't agree with it but I guess they're not allowed to deviate from the original format.

Rush Duel cards have so much more real estate while the cards look a lot more modern. Their card text is more akin to how Vanguard does things, where activation condition are literally written as such rather than being separated by a ;

Avram being the way it is was a fucking joke by the English branch. Literally everybody hated it, and they just kinda said well we can't do anything about it cuz they're already in circulation.

Hopefully in the future, we get a lost art type update

They absolutely obliterated Tearlaments, and for good reason. I'd say I hope for a pre-hit when they come to MD like the Adventurer cards got, but they didn't actually get to their insanely broken status until the Ishizu cards came later. So... I dunno.

I find it kind of amusing that they semi'd Raigeki less than half a year after they unlimited it. Did it really end up being a problem at 3?

Pendulums keep on winning. Double Iris is a relatively minor but much appreciated unlimit. Now free Plushfire and Kirin, you cowards! :P

Branded Fusion to 1...if Master Duel ends up pre-hitting Tears and Sprights, I wonder if we'll see it limiting this too after the Duelist Cup.

Fairy Dragon is cool. Never really used it myself, but it's always nice when Konami realizes an old banned card is actually perfectly fair so long as you slap a HOPT on it. >_>

Non OPT effects that aren't flat out worthless always get broken. Honestly, even with the HOPT, Ancient Fairy Dragon is oppressively powerful, actually. Both of her effects are good, and she uh... does she powercreep Saryuja? Lmao ngl nowadays people use Saryuja more for that late combo extension than anything. She requires 2 less cards to make, too

I havent been able to test it out quite yet but from the videos Ive watched its pretty consistent. Predaplants have a ton of ways to do searches for fusion spells including an in Archetype generic fusion spell searcher that can get what ever you need including Super poly/Branded Fusion. Not to mention there are multiple Predaplant monsters that allow you to fuse without using a spell. And it can get nuts with plant counters and using your opponents monsters to fuse with.

Verte changing elements of cards to dark actually kinda matters sometimes. So there are ways to get rid of untargetable/problem monsters from your opponent

The real spicy bits are eradicator virus and all the fusion synergy. The extra deck is crowded sure but its full of nice toolbox stuff

Had a pretty funny duel against Live Twins.

I opened all hand traps and one Ecclessia. Decided to say "fuck it" and shotgunned Ash, Belle, Droll, and Imperm. Drew zero wyrms the next few turns, instead relying on "normal summon Ghost Ogre" to synchro into the dark Yang Zing. Neither of us drew shit so the following turns were me doing "attack directly with Yazi pass". Won the game when I finally drew Swordsoul Emergence.

...they probably could've slowed down the game enough to win, but they shotgunned their Lancea as soon as they saw me make Yazi. Probably could've waited for me to bring out Taia so they wouldn't be bleeding lifepoints as fast.

Mystic Mine is worse than you'd think. It's just annoying and will result in randomly losing to decks that have no answers to anything you do except this card. In bo3, all you have to do is side in good spell removals, but in bo1, it's probably as annoying as Numerons, which should also be hit purely on the annoyance factor.

Did a 10-pull. Pulled Cherubini and enough surplus URs for Bardiche. Gonna try and build Phantom Knights lol.

Somehow got to level 19 in the event. My rank up game was a pretty stressful going-second affair against Runick. Heart of the cards was on my side as I had Droll, Belle, and Imperm in my opening hand, which let me deny them their draws most of the time. Fortunately level 20 doesnt give you any gems, so I can just goof off and grind the last few missions with no worries.

Same, it's really fun to use. Labrynth feels like the trap version of Sky Strikers in a way, because of how it focuses on gaining card advantage off of individual interactions and winning the grind game instead of building massive initial boards or relying on floodgates to stop the opponent from playing like most other meta decks these days. Same, it's really fun to use. Labrynth feels like the trap version of Sky Strikers in a way, because of how it focuses on gaining card advantage off of individual interactions and winning the grind game instead of building massive initial boards or relying on floodgates to stop the opponent from playing like most other meta decks these days. I don't use rivalry either. IRL I do run triple skill drain tho and I may end up running D-fissure since I cut the non-Arianna monsters.

Got strange win due to the opponent having 'connection problem'.

Ate a C, then, fully expecting to lose, proceeded with my Dragunity Maid stuff.

Can only thin the dude to 20 cards in deck.

Dude 'connection failed''d after activating Lightning Storm.

I'm running my semi-jank SwoSou/Rank 7 Auroradon deck that doesn't lose too often. But I also don't lose too often most likely due to not running into an oppressive first turn decks too often, for some reason.

Also because my rank 7s just kinda summon themselves without a lot of chance for interruptions, it gives me quite a lot of options I wouldn't have otherwise.

Fun question, 'cause I'm honestly unmotivated for DC.

You have this one-off in your deck, so integral to your combo or stuff you need to do but you do not want to draw it ever.

Yet, as typical of MD RNG, it often ends up as a resident of your opening hand.

What cards fit in your experience?

e.g. mine is Mist Valley Baby Roc in my Dragunity Maid.

Only hard garnet I run in any of my decks atm is Assault Mode Activate. Drawing it makes the entire package unusable unless you have another way to get Assault Beast into the grave without screwing up your main combos.

With Pendulums I sometimes run Timegazer Magician because it makes Chronograph's pendulum effect live. It's not-world ending to have it in your opening hand since it can still be used a monster, but it's easily the worst card in the entire deck to draw since it can't be used as a scale if you control any monsters, which can fuck up your combo lines. It's also a nightmare turn 3+ when you need to top-deck a high scale to try and take control of the game tempo and pull this jerk. >_>
