Duel with two swordsoul runicks players, both got owned by my Sky Strikers even when they banished a good amount of my cards.

In the first one I actually only lost a Roze and A0 on banish, other banished cards were literally handtraps and Lightning Storms. They had their big Swordsoul monster that banishes stuff from your field/gy when a card is banished. I cleared their field and then I Shark Cannon summoned their Swordsoul boss monster. They tried to banish my cards and I managed to banish their Hugin, brought Roze and then I top decked Raye for the kill.

Second one managed to bypass imperm and managed to make Chixiao and Baronne in defense mode as well as Hugin and Fountain. I top decked Cosmic Cyclone, banished fountain, forced Baronne to negate my forbidden droplet then used TTT for draw 2. I got A0 and top decked Raye thanks to it, ss Pankra but they used Chixiao to negate him, I tried to to kill Baronne but Hugin protected it. Then I summoned Raye, killed Chixiao and dumped Engage. With their field and hand completely empty, I had Forbidden Droplets, Imperm, Ash and Maxx C to stop any of their play. They scooped after I chained Maxx C

Cant wait for the second Kagari because that can change the whole game. I had duels where I felt a second one could have easily brought me victory

This Swordsoul topdecked Mo Ye on their turn after Imperming my Gaia normal summon and Ghost Belle'ing my Monster Reborn.

Turned out the lone card on their hand that they didn't use was Longyuan so they OTK'd me.

Another Swordsoul used a frickin' Prohibition and declared Spiral Fusion after I passed my turn to them (and I got the feeling they actually searched online of what cards to hit while at it), basically killing my deck.

Yeah Swordsoul probably has the strongest top deck potential in the game sadly. But whenever Konami tries to get rid of topdeck meta, we end up with weird shit like Adamancipators who can basically come to a point where they know what the topdeck is, or Drytrons

Damn my Swoso Runick propaganda has spread. Jk, tbh this was the only forum where I made a build that I raved about, though my list has heavily changed to beat stuff like Labyrinth. Red Reboot is also great against Swoso Blackout so it's not too bad.

It is actually a really skill based deck though. A lot of times you just end up with too many Runicks or too many Swosos and while you can make plays, it's effectively a brick. Also you have to actually have the skills to play to turn 5+ due to sacrificing your battle phase all the time. So you can't just autopilot anything except for turn 1

I dunno if anybody read the new Tri-Brigade spell, but it slaps in multiple ways

(1) If you control a Link Monster: Send 1 Tri-Brigade card from your Deck or Extra Deck to the GY, then target 1 Effect Monster on the field; apply this card based on the type of card sent.
Monster: Change that targets ATK to 0 until the end of this turn.
Spell: Negate that targets effects until the end of this turn.
Trap: Return that target to the hand.

So yeah this card is fucking nuts actually. You can use it going first and second.

First, you can send Bearbraumm to search for Revolt. Of course you have to make sure to do the order right, but now it basically makes it less of a necessity to ever go Bearbraumm into one of the higher links in order to search Revolt.

For second, it can be a bounce to pitch Oath as cost, which can lead to activating Oath in grave to potentially shut down a floodgate.

Tri-Brigade recently made a huge comeback being an engine for Sprights. Having a single lvl 2 monster in their entire archetype as well as 2 in archetype link-2s that are incredibly easy to summon makes them very compatible with Sprights, which we might end up seeing a lot outside Japan once Tears are ever fully shut down. I also found this type of compatibility out by playing Paleo Tri-Brigade. Turns out an extra potential lvl 2 on board is massive in general

Suship gets a new card and I'm all for it, lol.

That new Tri-Brigade spell has a couple of uses in Link decks outside of just Tri-Brigade decks too.

1) You can send a copy of the new Tri-Brigade link 5 monster from your extra deck to the GY, which then sends Garura to the GY with its effect, which then lets you draw a card.

2) You can have this card send another copy of itself from your deck to the GY to negate the effects of a monster on the field.

So in other words, it's basically Upstart Goblin for deck thinning (but it costs you 2 slots in your extra deck instead of giving your opponent 1000 LP) and Forbidden Chalice for a monster negate (but it's not a quick-play) combined in one card even before you consider its use for Tri-Brigade decks specifically.

Yeah running 1 of Oath is probably gonna be meta though. The concept of being able to shut down a Runick Fountain or any floodgate is just too huge on so many match ups. Either way, this card does more than possibly any other Tri-Brigade card, except Revolt. But Revolt is a trap card and this is quick play

Decided to put Apex Avian in Pend Mages. It's an older tech, but it checks out. Actually saved me in a duel when my opponent baited its negate to use Evenly Matched. I topdecked the scale I needed and just kept pendulum summoning Avian every turn to grind my way back into the game lol.

And yeah that Tribrigade spell looks slick. Was hoping they'd get something after their Link 5 was revealed with one of the silliest effect requirements. >_>

Yeah the Tri Link 5 Bussy Wussy or whatever the name was is still probably not gonna see a whole lot of use. People might tech it in for Roar (new spell) now, but in reality, Bearbraum is the best target in almost every single situation, and Bussy Wussy will just be used to dump her. But that fodder space can also go for something else, cuz the 1 more mat in grave for link isn't the biggest thing in the world. Unless I'm not taking much care into imagining what their gy fodder situation is like turn 1.

Yes you only really play this if you have the cards. Otherwise Tenyi Swoso is honestly around the same power level.

Man, that Runick player just had the Runick spell that destroys S/T as that one lone card and, ofc, they destroyed my Gaia field spell and killing my chance to do anything meaningful.

How did they get from this to Auroradon? The tokens are Fiend-type but Auroradon needs Machine-type materials.

That's the most janky line to Auro I've ever heard lol. I think you can get to it a lot easier with rank 7 turbo, and there are basically as much interruption points instead of summoning Tzolkin. They needed Summit too lmfao. It just doesn't make any sense to me

Honeslty I havent seen Verte much at all since the DPE package got hit. Maybe if Branded Fusion gets limited the silly snek will see a resurgence, but I genuinely dont think it's a problem for now.

Halq singlehandedly turned "Normal Summon Ash Blossom" into one of the strongest plays in the game so as much as I miss my ez pz accesscode lines Im glad it's dead lol.

Fusion Destiny is still full of shit so I don't even mind if I hard-draw it (which in MD is ironically too often for a 1-of), helps out the dependency towards Verte.

Red-Eyes Fusion is still shit though, and I need Verte for it lol. Selfish, but Konami did this to themselves anyway.

REF is such a depressing card. You'd think it was gimped because Konami was afraid of "materials from deck" fusion cards like Future Fusion, but then realize this came out shortly after Shaddoll Fusion, and in the exact same set as Brilliant Fusion. And despite the fact that there were virtually no targets for it at its release (a shitty Archfiend card that required you to run Summoned Skull lol), it was slapped with harsher restrictions than the super splashable engine that gave any deck a free extra normal summon.

I will never understand Konami's decisions for this kind of stuff lol.

Maybe they thought 'its name becomes Red-Eyes Black Dragon' is too much.

Because Red-Eyes' fusions, unlike Blue-Eyes, has NONE of the Red-Eyes in its name (outside of Dragoon anyway), and they then thought, 'Shit, we printed Inferno Fire Blast!' conveniently forgetting that other Red-Eyes traps they made need 'Red-Eyes' and not 'Archfiend/Meteor Black Skull/Comet Dragon' so they need the name change.

Which is bullshit, as we know it.

A shame. Red-Eyes' retrained fusions are honestly good....I think.

There are too many erratas needed. Like a simple 'this card is also 'Red-Eyes' card'.

I've seen Verte once every 10 duels or so maybe. It's usually to summon DPE, but a lot of times people use it for Branded when they can spare 2 monsters for free.

Within 3k gems I got 3 Nessie, 2 Jackalope, and 3 Tsuchinoko which basically all I need.
+ a Bigfoot and a Dogoran.

Well that fever turned out to be a bit worse than the flu. I got a blood infection due to complications with my ongoing issues and spent 5 days in the hospital. But Im finally free!

Was able to get the Toad mate and win up to gold 4 with Branded predaplants. Still looking to make a new deck. Im very on the fence about Marincess still. It looks good but Im not sure I want to commit.

It's a pretty fun deck IMO, plus it only has a few non-staple UR's (and the only one you need multiple copies of, Cynet Mining, is in the Salamangreat structure deck) so at the very least it's pretty cheap to make and you won't be investing too many resources into it. My only problem with the deck is that sometimes the duel timer can become a second opponent in longer games because of how the deck runs and combos.

I take that as a compliment haha. Oddly enough I NEVER see anyone run red reboot and only occasionally evenly matched.

This deck turns every duel into a grind fest since it has no real ability to take out the opponent quickly, but I feel like once you get set up you can pretty much outlast anyone. Every duel I have done has been like 15-20 turns

Its not as strong as Al-Lumi. By himself he can completely crush the ATT of all the opponents monsters. If I run burden too, then it might actually hurt Al-Lumi because he would have a very small attack stat, making it easier for a small monster to beat over him.

Plus, I dont think its strong enough to warrant a permanent spot on the board lol. Also Burden doesnt work on rank monsters.
