Dirty is using Scarlet Witch (or Storm) to rotate out Luke's Bar or Death's Domain or the one where the lower power wins on the last turn to win the area with 2 or 3 power

You shouldn't feel bad, you weren't around for the Magik oppression during the beta. You used to be able to play her on turn 6 so people ran her in pretty much every deck to see if they're winning/losing on turn 6. The cubes wouldn't double so they'd get to see your big turn 6 play and then nope out for 1 cube.

So I downloaded this game because of this topic and I'm having a lot of fun!

I feel like most players kinda suck, because I'm winning 90% of the games I play. I also think Professor X is overpowered but I've never seen anyone use him other than me.

Youre probably still playing bots. Up until rank 20 it might be exclusively bots, and I think even after that you still run into them sometimes

I just assume that whenever I easily beat someone, its a bot

I starting to think 6 turns isn't enough for my destroy deck to really get going.

Professor X is pretty useful but can backfire if you play him at the wrong time and as a 5 drop he's taking time away from some really strong 5 drops. I definitely don't think he's overpowered.

Honestly the only OP feeling cards to me right now are Angela and Nightcrawler. Angela starting with 0 power would probably fix her. Not sure about Nightcrawler-- 1 power might make him too weak.

And I'm using neither of those cards. Nightcrawler I used for a bit, Angela I haven't bothered with. Right now I'm running Yondu, Korg and Rocket as my 1 drops I think.

I've been using Angela and the Collector and it really shows how one is balanced and the other is really really not lol

Collector used to give 2 power instead of 1 power when something entered your hand but it was too strong.

Also Nova used to be +2 instead of +1 if you can believe that lol

Past season pass level 50 what are the rewards? Is it variants and currency? And how much currency? I was able to knock out the entire season pass in like 2 days but now it feels like I won't be able to get any of the stuff past level 50

The problem is you play a single 1 drop and she becomes decent value. She really needs to be 2/2 +1 or 2/0 +2

The interaction with Nightcrawler is the big problem. You play him there for her +2 and then move him away.

I think collector is too weak right now. +2 is too good though. 2/2 +1 is probably balanced. I kinda like 2/0 +1 but triggers on cards coming into play too but I'm not sure that's too good. Feel like it wouldn't be though you could combo him with Ultron to get a bunch of +1s out of nowhere so maybe.

If you really wanted to be in theme 2/0 +2 but only one time per card would be interesting and in better flavor probably.

Nova is balanced right now imo.

Yeah maybe the solution to Collector is giving him +2 back but making him a 3/0.

Maybe they're scared of the other ways you can bounce stuff back to your hand like Falcon (return all of your 1 drops back to your hand) and Beast (return all cards at this location back to your hand and they cost 1 less). Bouncing 4 one drops and giving collector +8 would be pretty strong but still maybe not enough for that deck.

yondu is a very bad one drop imo, wouldn't be surprised if it loses you more games than it wins you when you play it. most decks have 1 or 2 win condition cards. so unless you burn one of them you're actively making it easier for your opponent to hit their win conditions. the variance is not in your favor

Hmm, maybe I should drop Collector. I think he's OKAY, but I'm also using Rocket so like, I'm already bringing my deck down enough as it is.

Rocket is a solid 1 drop if your yomi is good. I definitely don't think he's weak like collector is.

Damn, have had a run of about 20 games where when I win I get 1 cube because they retreat and when I lost I lose 8 cubes because on the last turn they drop something that fucks my whole board up.

so i've been looking at this website a bit:

but i noticed the winrates are really skewed for some reason, because everything but the very worst cards are significantly above 50% winrate. I calculated the mean card winrate myself and for this patch, the mean winrate for Cards Played is 54.1% and for Card Included In Deck it's 52.5%. i dunno if this is discounting bots or something or how else the card included in deck winrate is so skewed.

but we can use those means to look at the Pool 1/2 one drops compared to that baseline, with significantly good performers bolded:

kind of surprising results. unfortunately it's not possible to isolate the data to like, rank 40 or 50 games or above. so i do wonder if the low rank games against bots are being counted, if that's inflating the winrates of some of the starter cards that most people would take out of their deck pretty quickly, like hawkeye, which don't seem to pass the eye-test even though it's blowing the statistics out of the water here.

Anything with a higher winrate when it's included in your deck than when it's played is a bit of a red flag though, unless it has an ability tied to that (Angel). So that's red flagging Yondu, Hawkeye, Misty Knight, Mantis, and Agent 13 (!) as potentially bad cards. Most of those are pretty expected; the only one of those that really surprises me is Agent 13, but I guess if you're playing it without other synergies it's maybe just a misty knight.

Speaking of Angel, I legitimately don't think I've ever not drawn him in my starting hand, lol.

Also, cloning vats, carnage and nova is pretty fun.

yea i saw cloning vats and made sure my decks could support carnage lol. sadly no nova yet

I like loading up cloning vats with Nova + 1 other spot and then dropping Killmonger on turn 5.

I started running Armor to stop all of the silly destroy shenanigans with cloning vats. Most people just retreat once you play Armor there.

I have such bad rng in this game, an example; I could play my deathlok and hit two novas then play ironheart or I could play ironheart on what was essentially a full board then play deathlok. Well I got greedy and played the ironheart first and two of her bonuses went to the novas I was destroying.

If the next reward was a variant CHOICE, I'd go hard for it, but just a random variant for probably a card I'll never use? Eh...

Well you can only unlock variants for cards you have so getting a random variant is only going to get less valuable as you get more cards (since you only seem to care about like 3 out of the 150 cards).

Well... the variant I want the MOST is one of Goose which I don't even have yet since I haven't gotten to pool 3. The other is for Cosmo as Rocket's variants aren't great.

I got to collection level 121 then I ran out of credits

1 day later but I am once again out of credits. Now at collection level 196 and rank 37. Think I was about 23-25 when I posted that yesterday as I was 27 when I went to bed last night

Yeah you're going to run out of credits every day haha. That's how you level up and get more cards though.

I think my biggest concern about this game right now is that the card injection is a little too slow. Adding 1 new card a month to the game is not shaking things up enough so hopefully they have some actual big dumps planned like expansions.

Does gameFAQs upsize images when you upload them or something? My phone says the screenshot is 3.2MB and GameFAQs tells me I can't post because the image is over 4MB

I'm guessing the rank system sometimes messes up? Either that or I just didn't notice when bypassing 10/20/30 thresholds.

Was rank 39 and 1 cube away from 40. Won my match with no snap so 2 cubes gained. Now I'm rank 41 with 1/10 cubes. So it basically bypassed rank 40 entirely

It always gives you a free rank the first time you pass the threshold.

It goes into pool 3 after 2 months.

The variants in the season pass might not ever come back though I believe. But I'm not sure they've confirmed that or not.

Ending the night at 44 8/10 cubes. Hopefully can get to 50 before it expires tomorrow.

Running into the annoying trend of opposing players taking ages to take their turn now. So many games where they are basically roping every turn, it's irritating

I made it to Gold, rank 40. Collector level 85. I started playing a couple days ago, but I've put a solid few hours per day into it. Fun game!

I am not really sure what I'm supposed to do now. Regardless of if I win or lose games, I can't upgrade my cards. I am guessing I just need to wait for daily rewards to reset.
