andymancan1: Still have this account, shockingly. Was my first main and my primary handle everywhere at the time, as it contains my name and a meme. Still works after all these years - it's reflective enough of my youth, but not too immature. Worth noting that I was 18 y/o at the time, and not 13 y/o.
MayaFeyManiac: After this board forced me to play the Phoenix Wright trilogy (thanks for that), I adorked Maya, and made a username for that. This sounds incredibly "weeby angsty college student" now and also coincided with the time I pretended I was female for lulz... which made no sense in retrospect. That's the funniest part to think back about.
AmandaKimmel: I spent a good part of four years dreaming about who's now my ex-future ex-wife, and....... then she turned out to be LameJokeAlt. Go figure.
BlueCrystalTear:I changed the above username to this one to reference Tear Grants in Tales of the Abyss (the Blue Crystal Rod being her ultimate weapon). I wanted it to sound more mature than some of my previous ones and have a certain aura about it. It also shares an acronym with a sandwich and at the time I found that funny (Bacon Chives Tomato, in my mind). And now, the fact that I found that shared acronym funny is itself funny. I'm still happy with this handle.

Yes, was forced upon me due to having 2 names across the system and it would have defaulted to my real name if I didn't. I could have kept ShatteredElysium but I wasn't sure if it would use up my name change I had banked so opted for something I'd be happier with just in case

I've actually had this username since I was 13. And honestly, if wasn't me posting on GameFAQs more often during the late-2000s, I probably would have abandoned this name and went full on using Cartyx, which is a name I use in some other places.

Not really, but I've been using this account almost exclusively for a month now instead of the quote-unquote "main" one. I'll probably switch back someday.

...or possibly to some completely unrelated name as none of my accounts feel right right now, but I don't think I remember the log-in info for any of the aecret accounts anyway.

I dropped the _89

I changed from CasanovaZelos to FoolFantastic for a few reasons. I've been using the latter elsewhere for over a decade now. The individual parts of CasanovaZelos became increasingly less appealing to me over time - I still enjoy it in an ironic way, but as a genderqueer person attracted to men, the Casanova part feels misleading. Tales of Symphonia was also a childhood favorite that hasn't quite stuck with me.

This is the same name I've used for 20 years. I wouldn't use it today though, as I kind of grew to dislike the book series Alanna is from.

I wanted to change it when username changes were first allowed, but there was someone with the name MNK already. I decided to look again yesterday and saw it was now available, so I did it.

i enjoyed filling out the feedback ticket. Since the text didn't matter at all I just put "It's finally time to lose the x's"

I finally stopped caring about underscores and just used them. It also felt pretty silly to continue calling myself SHINE when that hadn't been my username in like a decade

Main reason I haven't changed to be honest, the dorkiness amuses me. Well, I had to get rid of a space like other people in the topic, but that doesn't count.

i changed my embarrassing 13-y/o name when i was 14

and now i'm stuck with a name that references i had another name

which gets more confusing when it's become my general online handle on other platforms where it's thus my original name

(also i very commonly get people asking me "is it ____?" and i'm just like wut)

actually since I already commented on ff6man, I should point out when I came to B8 people accused me of being a ff6man alt because I made a FF6 character battle contest not knowing he'd already done his own

I had the opportunity to remove the hyphens from my current name but I chose not to do it.

If I'd properly joined instead of deciding to merely lurk almost a decade ago, it probably would have been under this username. I'm still content with it after all these years, even though I've changed as a person.
