Danganronpa: Danganronpa is a master class in waifu designs, I don't know any other series that comes even remotely close. Unfortunately, the first game is the only one with atmosphere (how you take the premise of a horrible death game and set it in a tropical island resort is beyond me), and the non-sprite artwork of the series, like the rooms and backgrounds, are generally pretty weak. I do really like the pink blood as a stylistic choice, even if I don't understand it.

Valkyrie Profile: I've never touched this series, though I once wanted to. This was one of the many series B8 told me to play, but at the time, it was PS1-only, and even then it was hideously expensive. Anyway, it's fine classic fantasy spritework, there's almost nothing else to even say. It's better than a lot of modern fantasy. Too bad sprites are almost a lost art.

Junji Ito: Gross and disgusting anime art, yep. This is unfair, but I'm going to call him Japanese HR Giger. They both have a lot of super detailed body horror stuff, but Ito has less of an emphasis on penises. But what I like about this kind of horror is that it's horrory and bad, but it's not just more Cthulhu stuff. I've had a little too much Cthulhu, honestly. That's another thing I don't need in Resident Evil, the recent game basically just threw in every horror monster it hadn't already used, including ones more associated with magic, so now only Cthulhu is left. I don't want the DLC to involve you fighting octopus face guys who a discarded Umbrella experiment or whatever.

Stray: Just the idea of being a cat in cyberpunk world instantly wins you a ton of points. I knew in one second when I heard about this game that you'd be an orange cat. I read once that mammal fur can only be black to white or red to yellow, which includes orange, and that any other color is impossible. No idea why, though. Aside from the novelty of being a cat, though... This is a pretty standard cyberpunk future.

Clone High: Instead of talking about the janky, angular animation, let's instead talk about the idea of a high school full of clones of famous people. That's a great premise for a comedy, absolutely genius. Too bad it got cancelled because clone Gandhi wasn't respectful enough.

Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals: I'd actually already known about this one, though I've never seen it. But man, these character designs are so classic anime it's almost painful, you just couldn't make something like this anymore. I like how the main girl on the Ccover is standing in a way to expose what's underneath her skirt, stay classy, Square. Looking through google briefly, I have found elderly man totem poles with robot arms tickling a naked man, I'm choosing to assume the entire series is about this.

The New Adventures of He-Man: This is from seven years after the original, but it somehow looks worse. This is technically a 90s cartoon! Anyway, I'm fine with the premise of an advanced future civilization needing the help of like a dumb barbarian from ancient times, that's fine, but did you have to bring back Skeletor? Can't you just invent a new bad guy? Some of these character designs are really weak, too. Besides the guys who are just normal guys, there's a guy with a torso on top of his torso so he has four arms and is like eight feet tall, a guy with an Egyptian pharoah hat with an elephant trusk mask, and what I can only describe as uglier Modok.
